[Skills Created. Pick one of the 3 options]
[Option 1: Cruel Shooter]
Hitting an opponent's extremities will increase their pain sensitivity t0 50% instead of the default of 10% while this skill is active. Should only be used on those who absolutely deserve it.
[Option 2: Trajectory Indicator]
A utility skill to see where an enemy's ranged attack will go just before and during their attack, giving a warning for you to dodge or seek cover. Enemies must be seen for the ability to work.
[Option 3: Phantom Bullet]
When activated, your next bullet shot will be completely fake. An enemy with a lower Perception stat than your own will be unable to tell that it is a fake. Hitting an enemy with this shot will do no damage, but an enemy will imagine that they have been hit.
"These are… Wow." Cynthia was nearly speechless at the skills she received. After reading the descriptions, they all seemed quite powerful.
"These are all interesting in their own way, although they seem to all be of the utilitarian variety." Dags liked what he saw. Though, that [Cruel Shooter] one bothered him. If anyone else got that skill, it would surely be put to use for evil purposes. Why was such a skill allowed in this game? What was the point of making someone suffer in a game?
"Agreed. I don't like that [Cruel Shooter] though. I don't want people to hurt more, so I'll skip that. The other two are both amazing, so I'll choose one of those. What do you think, Dags?" She realized she had dropped the 'mister' part, but felt like it was ok to be more casual with Dags now as she got comfortable with the AI.
"Hm. It would be best if you could get both, but since you can't… I think [Phantom Bullet] is more worth it. As a [Marksman] you shouldn't be engaging in combat at close range anyway. If you're in a close range fight, you might already be doomed even with the skill." He put in some thought into the situations in which the two would be useful, and came to that conclusion. [Trajectory Indicator] was an amazing skill for anyone, but a [Marksman] should avoid getting shot at in the first place.
"Yeah that's true. Alright, [Phantom Bullet] it is. It seems like a pretty cool skill as well." Cynthia, in agreement with Dags on his assessment, went ahead and chose the skill in the list.
[Skill Acquired: Phantom Bullet]
[Phantom Bullet Lv. 1]
When activated, your next bullet shot will be completely fake. An enemy with a lower Perception stat than your own will be unable to tell that it is a fake. Hitting an enemy with this shot will do no damage, but an enemy will imagine that they have been hit if the requirements above are met.
Cooldown: 5 minutes
"Short cooldown too, neat. This will come in handy." Cynthia was happy with her new skill, glad that she could have another ace up her sleeve.
"Indeed it will. How are your stats looking? I didn't take a look when you were distributing your points before." With 40 points at her disposal before, he wondered how she ended up spending them.
"Oh, I can show you. I also need to spend those extra points I got when leveling up from the quest." She went ahead and opened her stats panel for Dags and spent her 5 points while she was at it.

"That's a nice improvement there. If you want an agility build though, you might want to have it just be a smidge higher than the other main stats. Also, you leveled up [Sharpshooter] again? When did that happen? I must've missed it." He hadn't seen any notification that it went up during the boss fight.
"I'm not sure either, but it should've been during that last battle. I think I got back into the [Sharpshooter] state when all those guard rats were around attacking people, and then I used the skill itself when I shot the Queen." She tilted her head in thought, not sure exactly when it got leveled up.
"Well, whatever, it's good that it did. Even more damage on a critical hit now." He shrugged to himself. It didn't matter so long as she got more powerful.
"Anyway, are you going to go offline now? Ah, I should let you know that I can also talk to you in the real world now. I can even see and hear through the helmet's functions if I so wish. If I don't turn those functions on though, I can really only hear things that are in extremely close proximity or touching me. Not too sure which, but it could be both." Dags wanted to get that out of the way so that Cynthia knew. He didn't want to be a creep and silently watch her in her room.
"Really? Why can- No, nevermind. I don't want to know." She didn't want to start thinking down a path of why the helmet had such functions.
"Well thanks for telling me, Dags. So if I want to talk to you, do I just wear the helmet or can I face it towards me and talk to it?" While the helmet's functions creeped her out, at least Dags was honest about it with her. It made her feel much better.
"Hm, If you want to talk to me, just tap the helmet three times. I should be able to notice that. That will let me know that I can turn on the helmet's functions. Also, can I put in a request?" While he had the chance, he wanted to ask Cynthia something important.
"That works for me. I don't really mind so long as it's something I can do. What is it?" She asked.
"Ahem, I want to see more of the outside world. In here, I'm trapped in a dark, desolate space with nothing to do. It can get pretty… depressing. I'd appreciate it if you can 'let me out,' so to say, whenever you log out." Dags said his feelings about the place. If he was left alone with his thoughts in here for too long, he would surely go insane from both boredom and loneliness. If he could one day get out of here, it would be the best day of his new life.
"You want me to carry around the helmet to show you around…? I suppose I can do that. At least, I can around our estate. I wouldn't feel safe bringing the helmet outside the boundary of our home. I'll also let you see the view from my window often. It's quite pretty if I do say so myself." She didn't really have a problem with that request so long as it stayed within the protection of her family's estate. It might look a little odd to the others that she was carrying the helmet around, but she doubted anyone would question her about it.
"That's perfect. Thank you for accommodating me, Cynthia." Dags was relieved that she said yes. He really didn't want to intrude on her space whenever he wanted, but also didn't want to be stuck in that pit of that lonely void space in the helmet.
"You're welcome Dags. Anyway, I'm going offline now. I'll tap the helmet a few minutes after I log off. I want to get ready for bed first." She looked at the real life clock on the HUD, seeing that it was late at night.
"No problem. See you in the real world then." He waved even though Cynthia couldn't see him.
"See you there." She then pressed the button to log out.
