The weeks passed like the subtle shifting of sunlight. Soon enough, Abrial was healed enough to walk around comfortably. Though, her heart was very weak. Obviously. Because…Well, you know. She'd almost cut it out with her heartstone and all. But besides that, she was feeling good as new! She could just exercise hard and get her heart strong again, right? She'd be just fine and running around like normal not too long from now!
(Finley had told her sternly that it didn't work like that and actually she shouldn't exercise hard with the condition of her heart, but Abrial was determined. Finley found her struggling to climb the palace wall one time and sent her back to bed on a gust of wind. Abrial didn't try again until she was strong enough—not because she'd been caught, but because she was mortified by her inability to climb more than her own height up the wall! How embarrassing!)
