Chapter 22 - Haven't thought about it

Me and Ayumi spent the next 3 days in this beach house walking next to each other, swimming, cooking, sunbathing, and anything else we could think of. It felt like we were on vacation. We enjoyed each other's company.

This beach house has fine white sand that we could enjoy walking to every day. Its horizon looked mysterious. You could not see any island facing it. You could only enjoy the wide vast amount of water with its waves. Seeing the ripples of water calmed me down although we were facing a threat, I felt contented being able to spend time with my mate.

Although we were aware of our intimidating situation, we chose to enjoy each other's company rather than sulk in the corner of this house and think about the circumstances we were in. Ayumi's optimism made our stay enjoyable.

There are times we needed to sneak into the nearest town for supplies and groceries. We spotted some Tibolo wolves roaming around but we managed to avoid them using Ayumi's ability.

We were now both lying on the beach bench, sunbathing. I was wearing board shorts and She's wearing a low waist bikini, showing off her perversely slender figure with curves on the right places. She looked like she was a model taken out of the magazine.

"I am wondering.... Why is it Katana Wolves are different from other pack of wolves, love? I mean why do you acquire ability?" I asked then I glanced at her, her eyes were closed but I knew she was listening.

"As my mom told me, it was because our ancestor helped the Moon Goddess restore balance after the war. She called for the other pack of wolves, but few responded. One of which was our pack led by Alpha Xyron. He was our elder wolf." She said as I looked at her intently.

"The abilities were the reward for the loyalty of the Katana wolves and it's heirs, allowing us to share it with our family or mate. But it's only intended to protect ourselves, it shouldn't be used inflict harm or conquer other pack." I heard her uttered

"What will happen if you use it the other way?" I asked her curiously.

"We were told it will just dissipate." She answered briefly.

"And the pain during bond waves?" I asked her while staring at her face.

"Test of patience and loyalty, love" she said then turned to her side and looked me in the eyes. "If you can't bare all the pain then you might not be worthy of your mate and his or her ability as well." She explained further.

I nodded in response.

"Some of the Katana wolves did mark each other before full moon and did not wait for the completion of bond wave.... it did not go well for them, as We were told. Being marked before waves is more excruciating, only few survive", she added. I sat on my bench. Silent.... absorbing the information. I noticed her standing up.

"Do you want a drink?" She asked. She gave me a view of her body. I could not help but swallow. She smiled then looked at me again.

"I'm asking you; do you want a drink?" This time she looked at me seriously.

"Soda will do, love" I said while swooning over her. She smiled then she got down on her knees and then leaned down to my face and gave me a peck on the lips. She stood up then started walking towards the house not looking back.

"Tsk! Tease" I told her.

I heard her laughing in response. But before she could reach the porch of the house, I felt a jolt of sharp pain in my chest. I glanced at her. She was on her knees holding her chest and she was hissing in pain. I hurriedly stood up and ran to her kneeled down and then hugged her from behind.

"shhhhh.... I am here. I'm here love." I whispered in her ear. We were both breathing heavily. Then a minute passed the pain lessened. The moment the pain was tolerable, I helped her stand up and ushered her back to the beach bench. I sat down, pulled her to my lap. She placed her arm around my neck. I placed my face by her shoulder.

"This second wave hurts more than the 1st" she said smiling through the pain.

"Yup but being close to you feels like being injected with a pain reliever." She smiled at my comment.

A few minutes later the 2nd surge of pain came back. I hugged her, tightened it even more. It felt like my heart wanted to jump out off my chest. She placed my head next to her neck. Her breathing was rapid and shallow. I rubbed my hand along her back and subsequently the pain started to subside. Then we both sighed.... I pulled back to look at her face. Beads of sweat are forming on her forehead. I grabbed the towel next to me and started patting the towel on her forehead. She just smiled.

"I am giving you a way out". She commented which made my brow furrowed.

"You can still reject m.... ah! She*t!" She exclaimed. The pain came in before she could finish her word. I pulled her and kissed her aggressively. She was moaning from the pain and pleasure. Then I felt at ease. The pain just frittered away. I deepened the kiss, she responded.

"Don't ask me to reject you again" I placed my forehead against hers. "That will never happen". I added. She nodded, still breathing heavily. The pain lasted a few minutes then it calmed down. She moved to the bench sitting next to me. I mischievously looked at her.... When she noticed me.

"What?!!!!" Her eyes are questioning.

"I just realized, holding hands, hugging, kissing or any form of physical contact can alleviate the pain of each wave." I wickedly smiled at her. "You think sex can be control the pain faster?" Her jaw dropped in shock. Then she laughs....

"What are you talking about???!!!" she shouted; her face full of amusement.

"Don't tell me, you haven't thought of it?" I was smirking at her. Her eyes widened when she realized I was serious. She flicked my forehead then stood up.

"Go shower! Drink lots of fluid! Or go to the water!" pointing to the seashore. She walked towards the house shaking her head.

"Whaaaaat, we're adults don't act naive!" She just looked back at me in disbelief, it made me laugh. She stomped towards the porch, grabbed the pillow, and threw it at me. I just laughed at her.

"Unbelievable!" she shouted.
