Aurelia's pov
It was white....pure white.
I know the elves of earth attributes have brown hair, elves of fire attributes have red hair, elves of water attributes have grey hair, while dark elves had black hair just like their attributes.
But white hair....?
I've never seen an elf with white hair.
"lady, you've wounded your ankle. Hold on tight, I'm going to fly." he asked when I continued staring at his hair. And he was smirking proudly when he noticed he had my attention.
"huh-huh." I said while blushing furiously.
He had caught me staring at him.
twice.
Would he think I liked him ? hell no.
I gasped when I felt my leg leave the ground. Though I flew with the flying carpet controlled by Nessa, I had never flew while hugging a person.
And a hot elf at that.

"you thoughts are quit noisy lady." he said with a smirk still on his face and I felt the air punched out of my longs.
He could hear my thoughts!!!!!!

"your a dark elf... but what are you doing in zinambra?" I couldn't help but ask.
The Kingdom of the dark elves was know as Findara.
It was a land that had no sun. it is always dark there. From a little girl , I loved learning about history and places , so I knew pretty much about other elves apart from earth elves.
Findara is a three weeks distance when one flew with magic, but with carriage it was a one month and two weeks distance. So except he came for a very important thing in Zinambra, he wouldn't be here.
"let's say....tell me your name first, then I'll tell you."he said.
"I'm Aurelia. So tell me." I urged him.
"I came to see a friend."
"oh....must he an important friend. You didn't tell me your name."
He gave me a cheeky grin" I never promised to tell you my name did I ?"
Dam him.
He played me, so mysterious.
"We are here." he said and I felt him descending and was on the ground.
I looked around and saw I was inside the palace. All the the while I forget to ask where we were going.
"how did-"
"I know you're a princess? " he cut my speech
"I- yes, I never told you."
"well .....who doesn't know of the golden haired princess who doesn't have elven power or ears in the earth nation." He said while shrugging.
Yeah, I almost forgot my identity....
The mistake ....
I smiled....then I remembered something... NESSA!!!
Almost immediately the thought came to me I heard a voice.
"your highness!!! your highness!!!"
I turned and I saw Nessa.
I sighed in relief as I walked as fast as I could to meet her.
She hugged me while crying and I hugged her too . She must have been worried to death while I was drooling over that dark elf.
"How did you get here? after you ran away , the vampire with the talisman followed you so with two others, so levy and I easily took down the rest. But we couldn't find you." she explained
"oh...,I was rescued by this elf."
I said turning to introduce my savior and also get hi name, but when I turned no one was there.
I walked forward, turning left and right but he wasn't there.
"He was just standing there...." I said still not believing he was gone just like that.
"who are you looking for your highness?" Nessa asked.
I didn't know what to say as I couldn't find my saviour. I didn't want to tell her my saviour was a dark elf.
Reason was because in zinambra, dark elves were believed to bad omen.
But I thought otherwise. Dark elves were the strongest of all the elves which automatically made the the leaders of all elves.
But the other races felt they needed to be separated because they felt intimidated. The dark elves let them go and they divided themselves.
But they lost their strongest support. The powers of the dark elves. Dark elves are able to control and read minds which they use to easily defeat their enemies, that was also why vampires were scared to attack Findara.
And so the vampires decided to use them as prey.
"It was a kind lady who dropped me at the palace."I said as it was inappropriate for a man to hugged a lady when they are not married.
"oh.... seems like she left. Let's go inside,it's cold." she said and I nodded and followed her.

After taking my bath , I went to my balcony that overlooked the oak forest.
I couldn't get the face of the stranger who saved me out of my head.
I had a feeling that he was lying when he said he was visiting a friend.
Since centuries before I was born, the elven war that separated all tribes made the dark elves lock themselves away from all the other tribes.
So I could say it was my first time of seeing a dark elf.
I decided to forget him. Tomorrow was the day of the showcase festival for young maidens.
I wouldn't lie, I was scared as I don't know what kind of shame she would face if she couldn't summon any magical weapon.
Yes , tomorrow they would be tested to know what ability they were gifted with.
But up till now she couldn't use even the most simple magic, so the felt scared.
Her step sisters , beeatrisa and Yavanna
had done their own showcase ceremony.
Yavanna was blessed with accuracy. she could use her eyes to move anything accurately.
While Beeatrisa was blessed with speed. She was arguably the fastest runner in the whole zinambra .
They both made the kingdom proud with their ability.
Like a year back they single handedly killed thirty vampires that attacked a village in zinambra.
while I was in my trance, Nessa came inside and walked up to me.
"Aurelia"she called me. I had given her the privilege to call me by my name when we were alone. I hade almost forgotten my name since I was often called 'Third princess '
"I'm over here at balcony." I said my room was dark. I had put out all the lights since I was about to go to bed before I decided to view the night sky and think.
"Can't sleep?" nessa asked
"yes, I keep feeling I wouldn't be able to-"
"Don't bring bad lock even before it is the day." Nessa cut my words and I smiled.
She always rebuked my bad words. She was only two years older than me but she felt like my mother.
That reminded me, my mother must be scared silly by what happened to me.
" I get it. Did my mother...." I said hesitating.
Nessa understood me. my mother had been the most understanding person in the whole world, but since I turned fifteen she stayed away from me. But she often asked how I was fairing from Nessa .
I knew my mother Loved me, but I don't know why she decided to stay away from me. But I'll try to understand her.
"She did. She had been worried sick. She only left the corridor when you went inside." nessa said.
I nodded and turned to continue staring at the forest from afar.
"It's normal to get nervous, But don't let it get to you too much." she encouraged me.
"I'll try my best to be at my best behavior tomorrow." I joked to lighten up the mood.
"You better be, I don't want any dramas."she laughed.
"Yep, I should just add a little more name to my long list." I said
"Don't you dare. Alright take a good night rest as I would wake you up very early as I would need to prepare you physically and mentally."she said and bide me good night.
"good night to you too."I wished her as she left.
Then I turned to the forest again. Ever since I could remember,I always love greenery. Who knows maybe my power is natural control.
I walked to bed with that thought and closed my eyes.
