'I guess I should start' right Tom as he got in meditation position and closed his eyes.
Since the first task to learn the healing touch technique was to memorize each aspect of his body, what he needed to do was simple, at least in theory.
With his eyes still closed, Tom started an introspection of his body by using the etherium as his eyes.
His first target to memorize was naturally his arms, in those several he lost count of the many times he was wounded on his arms, well, several of those wounds were caused by his fighting style as he fought who his better fist, so, the first thing he needed to know how to heal was obviously his arms.
'Who would have thought that I would have to study anatomy in my trial of power' thought Tom with a chuckle, before his face turned thoughtful, and he wondered 'now that I think about it, I have been in this world for at least three months and I still don't have a clue about what my mission is'.
Indeed, one was sent to the world of trial to solve a problem in this world, no one knew in what world you will land or what your mission will be until you are in the said world, but Tom had been in this world for several months and still doesn't have even an inkling of what his supposed mission is.
'I should forget about that for now and just concentrate on my training' thought Tom as he felt that his mind was wandering.
He would eventually need to think on the matter, but for now he should just focus on becoming stronger.

Two days later
"Finally!" Exclaimed loudly Tom.
"It took two whole days just for my arms, how long will the others take me?" Wondered Tom.
During the last two days, he did his very best to memorize every nook and cranny of his hands, fortunately for him, he had already studied anatomy while in school, so it took him less time, but that was actually what was worrying him, in terms of complexity one could say that the arms and legs were body members that one could easily memorize, so if it took him two whole days to memorize just what constituted his arms, how much time will it take when he needed to memorize what constituted the stomach, liver and even lungs.
"When I said that you need to familiarize with your body members and organs, I didn't mean that you needed to do it for your whole body, we don't have that kind of time, so you should just concentrate on the members of your body that you use to attack and defend yourself" explained Midas.
"Indeed, I should just concentrate on my arms and legs" replied Tom, a little relieved that he wouldn't need to memorize every part of his body, yet.
"No, you shouldn't just focus on your arms and legs, you should add some of your viral organs like your heart or lungs"
"But from what you said, the final step would be to mend my severed organs or members by using the etherium, and to do that I need to hurt myself and then try to mend the wound I would be inflicting on myself, how am I supposed to do something like that for my lungs or heart, the moment I try something like that I would die, how should I proceed then".
"That's for you to find for yourself" replied Midas.
"Just say that you have no clue" mumbled Tom as he looked at Midas merging with the shadows again.
Even after Midas disappeared from sight, Tom still looked at where he was for some time, lost in thought.
"Sigh, let's resume the training, I guess".

Three weeks later, one could find Tom sitting in a meditative position with his brows raised in a frown.
It has been almost one week since he finished memorizing every part of his legs, his heart and even his neck!
When he became intimately familiar with everything composing those parts of his body, Midas instructed him to proceed to the next step of his training, which consisted of shaping his Ethereum in the form of those parts that he memorized.
However, it was easier said than done, till now Tom never tried to give a shape to the Etherium, what he was doing was just course it through one part or another part of his body, but now, not only does he need to give it a form, but the form needed to be that of some part of his body.
Although it wasn't very difficult to memorize different parts of his body, it wasn't the same as shaping his etherium into those forms, Ethereum flows like water, so imagine trying to give a shape to water, sure he could control that water, but it's not because of that, that the task would be easy nonetheless.
"Don't try to forcibly try to shape the Etherium, instead you should try to coax it into taking the shape you want to, at your level you can't forcibly control the Etherium" explained Midas when he was that Tom was struggling.
"And you shouldn't try right away to shape the Etherium into something as intricate as a body member, instead you should try to shape in something simple that you easily make, once you get used to shaping the Etherium, only then should you try to make something like an arm or leg" added Midas.
Heeding to what Midas said, Tom stopped trying to forcibly bend the Etherium to his will and used his connection with the Etherium to try and make it take a shape.
At his first try it was a failure, but as time passed, and he gained experience, he finally succeeded in molding the Etherium into a round ball.
It wasn't anything extraordinary, but it took him hours just to make this ball, and he was quite proud of himself.
Following that, Tom spent many days shaping his etherium into the things he wanted to, from a Rubik's cube, to a book or even an alarm clock, he tried anything, and when he was sure that he could challenge shaping the Etherium into something like a body part did he try.
He drew in a deep breath, centering his thoughts, and commenced the process. Initially, he manifested a basic form resembling an arm, devoid of intricate details such as hands. However, with the passage of time, he refined his creation, meticulously shaping his Etherium into a bone-like structure seamlessly integrated into the arm.
With precision, he added layers of ethereal tendons intricately linked to muscles formed from the very fabric of Etherium.
A drop of sweat fell to the ground as he focused on his task.
Despite the exhaustion he was starting to feel Tom continued by fashioning ethereal tissues, draping them delicately over the muscles.
The final touch involved encapsulating the construct with a phantom skin, and with careful adjustments, he transformed the entire entity into an illusion so realistic it mirrored a genuine arm.
Finally, after long and exhausting minutes of work and concentration, Tom finally managed to create a perfect copy of an arm.
