The day went by quickly.
I had dinner in the same room I had lunch with all of Vince's friends sitting at each side of the table and him at the top. I was served more than I could eat and each platter coincidentally had everything my mother wouldn't approve of. I was eager to have the beef I missed earlier that day so instead of the turkey, I had an entire piece out of hunger. Throughout, I noticed everyone is the room was quiet. Only clicks from the metal forks and knives could be could be heard in the room. I frequently glanced at the girl I yelled at and she had all her attention on her meal. She didn't look up, not even once. A few minutes passed and finally, our eyes met. It was just for a second and immediately, she looked away.
