Sam was super excited about his visit to the Atlantis. He was snickering by himself while sitting in the room thinking about the brilliant plan he came up with.
"What is so funny?", asked Freid. His mood, unlike Sam was not very good due to their situation of being stuck here.
"Nothing, but how long are we going to stay here?", Sam asked while feigning to stretch his body.
Since they didn't have a replacement for the stolen wheel, they had to ask the local mechanic to create the wheel and repair the carriage as fast as possible.
The next day, Sam woke up early and went out the room quietly. Freid noticed him leave the room but didn't pay any attention and again went to sleep.
Sam's destination was 'Herbal Herb', it was a medicine store run by Ban Newt.
Ban was a local alchemist and his favorite hobby was diving. Recently he had been developing a medicine that will allow a person to breathe for much longer underwater. Now all he needed was to test the medicine on someone.
It just happened that Sam went to his shop and told his problem. Ban was very much happy to find someone to test the medicine on. Just like he had promised to Sam, Ban was busy preparing the medicine early in the morning.
"Good morning", Sam entered the shop and greeted Ban.
"Oh! You are here!", Ban was happy to see Sam. "Wait a moment. The medicine is nearly complete", saying this he continued moving his hands albeit a bit faster.
After thirty minutes the medicine was complete. Putting the pill in a box, Ban presented it to Sam, "Take one pill every three hours. Take no more than four pills a day. Do tell me the result and any side effects".
"Thanks", Sam takes the box and exited the shop. Feeling the morning wind and the chirping of birds, "What a wonderful day", Sam left to meet Joy.
Joy had been sitting at the meeting place thirty minutes earlier. Watching the rising sun and feeling its warm rays on her face she thought of Sam, 'Will he come?'.
Just like that one hour went by and she still no sign of Sam. Starting to feel dejected, she picked a flower and started plucking its petals, 'Looks like he will not come'.
"Yo~ You are quite early", Sam came from her behind and greeted her. "Sorry, I am a little late. The preparations took some time".
He brought with him a transparent suit and started wearing it. The suit looked like the one divers wear while diving, but only this time it was quite different. 'Who would have thought the Hardletts had something like this', Sam thought after checking himself out.
"This is a special suit. It is magically enchanted and can withstand much higher pressure", Sam explained the functions of the suit to Joy.
"I..is that so?", Joy was still hesitant about whether to take Sam with her or not. In the end she gave up. "Let's go", she grabbed him by the hand and jumped in the water.
They started diving deeper and slowly and slowly the light started becoming faint and the water grew more darker. But the suit was excellently made, Sam didn't feel any discomfort at all. The goggles even had light function allowing him to watch in the dark.
Joy brought her head closer and touched her forehead with Sam's. Sam then heard Joy's voice in her mind, "There, behind the trench is the entrance to Atlantis. Don't leave my hand".
Sam entered the trench and noticed the flow of water increase. As they went deeper, Sam and Joy's body started glowing and light suddenly swallowed Sam and Joy up.
"Wake up. Wake up Sam", Sam felt someone nudge his body and he slowly opened his eyes. "Wh..Where am I?", he felt his body heavy and difficult to move.
"Welcome to Atlantis", Joy replied.
Big buildings having modern architecture and people going in and out of them but not on the road but in the air.. No wait, they were surrounded by water and they all were swimming in it.
"Awesome", Sam said in a low voice still trying to absorb everything.
"Let's get going", Joy pulled him with her.
The place had everything, beautiful gardens, schools of colorful fishes, school everything that existed in modern world was present here. Sam had a tough time digesting this new reality. It was like he was back on earth but the air had been replaced with water.
"Why are you surprise?", asked Joy after seeing Sam looking all around with wide eyes. "Unlike what you think, Atlantis is quite advance then the human world", she explained.
"Th.. That.. I.. I am seeing", Sam also noticed that unlike sky there was a roof very far above them and the light released by it illuminated Atlantis.
They soon arrived at a grand house located on a small hill away from all the buildings. Joy took Sam in front of the building and stopped in front of the main gate. Two male mermaid soldiers were standing there with a long trident in their hands.
"Pr.. Princess", they immediately lowered there trident and greeted Joy.
"Please open the gate. This person is my guest", she said while pointed towards Sam. "Yes, princess", one of the guard opened the gate and Joy and Sam entered.
A large hall with walls decorated in patterns with colorful jewels and stones. Just in front of them was a big painting, in the center was large couch and he also noticed many decorative pieces such as vases etc.
It was like those rich mansions Sam had seen in movies and couldn't believe this all existed here.
"This is your house?", Sam asked while pointing at everything.
"Surprised.. Hehe sorry for not telling you earlier", Joy laughed away Sam's surprise and told him everything. She was the princess of Atlantis and how she would sneak out sometimes and met him one day.
"No kidding", Sam laughed after she finished everything. 'A mermaid princess! What luck', deep down Sam was astonished at his ability to meet incredible people.
