As Milane entered the Starlight Restaurant, her gaze inevitably collided with that of Lucas. He was perched there, his eyes flickering with anticipation, almost as if he had been counting the seconds until her arrival.
Milane couldn't deny that Lucas was the kind of heartthrob whose mere presence could send a collective swoon through the female population. She had been subjected to his beautifully sculpted face day in and day out, yet she hadn't developed any sort of immunity to it. Especially not when he gazed at her with those piercing eyes that seemed to look straight into her soul. Her heart started doing somersaults, and she felt a wave of awkwardness wash over her. It was hard to believe she could feel anything other than annoyance towards her notoriously nasty boss.
