Milane gently knocked on Lucas's office door before stepping inside.
"Mr. Leedon, Melissa mentioned that you wanted to see me?" Milane queried.
He let out an audible sigh, his reluctance palpable. "Yes, indeed. We'll be heading to K City later this week. Prepare yourself for a week-long trip. Our departure is scheduled for Tuesday."
Tuesday? Panic fluttered in Milane's chest. Her session with Lu was set for Wednesday. Would this mean missing a session? And more importantly, how would it affect her compensation on lovibles?
Concerned about the potential disruption to her side gig, Milane proposed an alternative, "Mr. Leedon, perhaps you could consider bringing Melissa along? It could be a valuable learning experience for her, putting her skills to the test."
