Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Plains Village

Zaine and Amy continue on their journey. With Amy now capable of supporting Zaine, she started feeling more confident, and though her level is still low, she still tries her best to be helpful.

As a support, Amy has obtained the ability to buff Zaine and his summons, so she could earn experience by letting Zaine's summons kill monsters while Amy's buff is active.

Amy's whole life was all about living alone, waiting for people to come and go, and finally, one day, Zaine came into her life, changing it completely. Witnessing Zaine about to die, she wholeheartedly wished to be with Zaine longer. That resulted in her obtaining the support class.

With each day they spent together, they began to get to know each other more and become comfortable around each other, making them closer than before.

Albus has grown a lot bigger, her body size as Zaine. Zaine can't afford Albus playing all over Zaines hair and shoulder anymore. He let Albus walk alongside them and freely roam around the place.

On their journey toward Avalon, they stumble across another safe zone in the form of a village. This time, the people there had already settled in quite comfortably. Zaine realized that there was something wrong with them.

The people here wear weird clothes, and farmers and adventurers walk around, almost like they live in a fantasy world.

One of the farmers who is tilling the field took notice of Zaine and Amy.

"Hello there, a new face! Where did you come from?" The middle-aged farmer looked up, greeting them with a smile.

"Uhmm, hello, yes, we are new here," Zaine was a bit nervous. "If I may ask, do you know where the Adventurers Guild is?" Ask Zaine straight to the point.

"Oh, you are searching for the Adventurers Guild, just go straight and turn to the left. The place you are looking for will be there." Said the farmer while pointing to them the way.

Zaine and Amy walked through the path. They looked around the place. People live in peace, and the village architecture is nothing like what Zaine had seen. He knew that this place had got to do something with the world.

A huge sign signaling the entrance of the Adventurers Guild could be seen from far away. They both decided to go inside and uncover what is going on there.

The Adventurers Guild is filled with people, with all types of people, clearly people not from the original world. A few of them were equipped with swords, some with bows, staffs, and many more kinds of weapons.

"Hello there, adventurers. Welcome to the Adventurers Guild."

A guy stood behind the counter as the receptionist, greeting Zaine and Amy.

"I don't think I have met you. Are you new here?"

The receptionist looked at both Zaine and Amy.

"Yes, we just arrived here." Answered Amy.

"Well then, what did you come here for? Quests? or Questions?"

"We are here for some questions. Would you mind hearing about it?" Ask Zaine, standing beside the counter with hands leaning on the table.

"Yes! Ask away. I will do my best to answer anything there is."

"Can you tell me about the history of this place?" Ask Zaine curiously.

"Yes, so..."

The receptionist tells us about the story of their entire village, from the beginning when it started 300 years ago when monsters started appearing in the world, continued by the appearance of magic first obtained by the people.

Chaos ensued between monsters and humans, marking the start of an all-out war with humans, with the result ending up in a draw, stagnated, waiting for the next move from both races. During the stand-off between humans and monsters, these safe zones are created by one of the greatest mages to create a safe space for humans to live and prosper once again.

And ever since, adventurers had lived in peace within the safe zone.

The story of the receptionist is the same story Amy told Zaine on the journey. With both of the worlds now merged, there is no telling what is currently going on right now.

Zaine thanked the receptionist for the information. They left the Adventurers Guild to think about the situation and what they will do from now on.

"Amy, what do you think we should do? Should we continue to Avalon? Or should we stay here for a bit, maybe do some quests in the Adventurers Guild?"

Amy thinks about it, she currently only has a magic bag to her name, so she decides to try and search the blacksmith to find a staff that would enhance his buffs and healing magic.

They wandered around the village and found and went inside a blacksmith.

They opened the door, and a sudden burst of hot air came out. The blacksmith noticed their presence.

"Please wait for a bit. I will be done soon." Said the person with a long white beard while hammering a piping red metal.

Zaine and Amy waited outside as the old-looking man finished up with the things he was doing.

"Hello there, young ones. Sorry to keep you waiting. Are you interested in buying anything?" Said the man with a scruffed noise.

Amy and Zaine went inside the blacksmith and looked at the array of equipment he had to offer.
