Chapter 29 - CHAPTER 29

"Oh?" the Lord said, smirking slightly.

Lady Fifth slightly bowed to him and continued, "We can use their trust in Alistair as our weapon. Once he creates an opportunity, they'll be caught off guard, and we'll be able to go in and execute the mission seamlessly."

Lady Fifth was certain that this plan would work. The Eyes of their secret organization were highly skilled at gathering information, which made her very confident about her plan.

"What about the dogs?" Sir Fourth asked.

"We don't have to worry about them; they won't be able to smell the scent of our agents. I'm planning to send The Daggers along with Alistair, and their leader will be the one who leads this mission," Lady Fifth answered with a confident tone.

The Daggers are one branch of the secret organization that these ten vampires run. They specialize in assassination. Their leader is a highly gifted individual with the ability to erase any scent, whether the object is animate or inanimate.

"Isn't it excessively excessive to send them for this small matter?" said a woman with long white hair and a dark dress sitting on the left of The Lord. She had an air of authority about her.

"Without due respect, my Lady Second, I think we should not underestimate the Cullens. We have no information about their abilities, and we want to be sure the mission was completed flawlessly without any failures." Lady Fifth answered with a respectful tone.

Lady Second didn't say anything and simply closed her eyes, just like the Lord.

"Very well, Lady Fifth, we'll trust you with your plan. Contact the Daggers and Alistair about the mission, and we want results in a week," said The Butler or Sir Third, while writing a letter and putting it in an envelope. He then handed the envelope to Lady Fifth, and she nodded as she accepted it.

"Is there anything else that needs to be discussed?" the butler asked. Beside him, Sir Fourth nodded, and the butler allowed him to speak.

"We have resolved the problem with the Volturi, and we are now closely monitoring them with The Eyes replacing their members. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get Jane on our side. Aro's influence on her is still strong and has grown even stronger. The same goes for her brother Alec, he won't go anywhere without his sister."

"Next, we have spotted the last two remaining vampires from the Romanian coven, Vladimir and Stefan. We've tried to make contact with them, and the results are disappointing, they won't join us until the Volturi are eradicated."

"Those two are something else. Without their past glory, they won't stand a chance against the Volturi, and yet they're still dreaming about destroying them." The Lord suddenly opened his eyes and chuckled.

"It's a pity that we didn't recruit some of them when they were at war with the Volturi, as the war was nearing its end." The Lord closed his eyes once more. The Butler gestured for Sir Fourth to continue with the reports.

"And lastly, we don't have any problems with the other covens except for the Egyptian coven. We've been trying to capture one of their important members, Benjamin, but we have been facing difficulties whenever we attempt to make contact with him. Whenever he sees us, he immediately attacks. Their coven leader, Amun, is also a cautious man. He's keeping Benjamin as if he were the most prized treasure he has ever had." Sir Fourth has finished his reports.

'Amun, huh? Looks like he has changed ever since I single-handedly killed a quarter of his coven when I rejected him in the past.'

'Back then, I was in the early stage of building my organization. I needed every resource I could get, so I foolishly went to the Egyptian coven when they were at their strongest. They offered me a position in their ranks, and of course, I declined,' the Lord thought with an amused smile.

"Fath- Lord, I can take care of the Egyptian coven by myself alone. Let me do it."

Suddenly, a girl sitting on his right said, She has white hair, wearing a dark dress and a dark coat with a white fur hood.

Everyone in the room was startled by the girl's declaration; they were surprised that the girl would take action herself. The Lord just chuckled while the Lady on his left, Lady Second, glared at the girl.

"Excuse me, my Lord. May I have an audience with Lady Tenth alone?" said Lady Second. She then stood up and bowed to the Lord. Without waiting for the Lord's answer, she dragged Lady Tenth out of the room. Meanwhile, the rest of them were laughing at their antics after the two of them had left the room.

The butler then stood up and stood beside the lord and said, "If anyone doesn't have anything else to report, this meeting is over. Dismissed."

Then the Lord said,

"May The Blood Of Our Victims Guide Us All"

[ BOSTON PUBLIC LIBRARY — BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, USA ]

Boston Public Library, Established in 1848, Boston Public Library was the first publicly supported library in the United States and, with its present collection of 22 million items, also the second-largest. The Central Library consists of two buildings, the Johnson Building and the McKim Building, which houses the library's research collection and exhibitions. Built in 1895, McKim contains many beautiful murals, including Edward Abbey's famous scene depicting the legend of the Holy Grail. The main room of the McKim building — Bates Hall — also features a unique coffered ceiling. More than 1.7 million rarities are included in the research collection at McKim, including medieval manuscripts, incunabula, early Shakespeare that includes a First Folio, colonial Boston records, and a major Daniel Defoe collection. The collection is also home to the libraries of several notable figures in American history, including John Adams, William Lloyd Garrison, and Nathaniel Bowditch.

But in the deepest part of the Library, there was a secret room that led to an underground operation of The Daggers. Inside the base, there is a large dagger logo on the floor, and there are also the same logos at certain parts of the base.

The underground base was quite large, large enough to accommodate a hundred people. The base was dimly lit, and the architecture of the base was quite old, resembling that of medieval castles. In one of the rooms, there was a large board, and in front of it stood a person. He wore all black clothing and had a stern expression as he looked at the board.

Then, a woman entered the room and said,

"Sir, we have a mission."
