Chereads / Twilight: The Heavenly Demon / Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5

Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5

/Time Skip: 10 Years Later/

(Third Pov)

At the top of Mount Tai, two individuals can be seen fighting, but the fight is a one-sided battle as the other individuals keep getting cornered by each other.

(Mc pov)

'I kept pushing him and almost killing him, but why is he always getting away from it?' I thought as I stared at him intensely.

"Please stop this; you've committed a lot of sins!" Baek Jung-Yeon said it righteously.

"You know that you can't kill me, right?" I asked.

Baek gritted his teeth, and his eyes looked determined. "I know, but I know something that you don't!" Baek said....

/ FLASHBACK /

(Mc pov)

It's been 7 years since I became the heavenly demon, and the Murim world already knows about it, but I haven't made my move since I have to become stronger.

And so in these 7 years, I focused on my cultivation, and the result satisfied me.

I am now at the peak of stage 9, and going through stage 10 is very difficult, you can even die while going through it.

*Sigh*

I opened my eyes, and before I could stand up, I saw a shooting star.

*Swoosh*

When you see a shooting star, it can only mean two things: good and bad, and I don't know which one I got. After a minute passed, I widened my eyes in surprise because I felt the law of the world change around me.

Let me explain: when a cultivator reaches stage 9, they can feel the law of the world and a little portion of the power of fate. And I can feel it; my fate seemed to change, but it's blurry, and I can hardly feel it now.

*Sigh*

I have always known since the day I became the heavenly demon, that I am not the protagonist of this world. I sighed again, and I made up my mind.

'It is time to declare war on Murim and let them know fear, hopelessness, and desperation once again, It's time to let these bastards know that, you can't get away with anything for what you've done.' I thought as I stood up and walked to my throne.

And so I did that.

(5 months later)

It's been 5 months since I declared war against the Murim, and I've destroyed at least two important families. Well, this is only the beginning of the war.

(2 YEARS & 7 MONTHS LATER)

In the first year, I destroyed many families, clans, sects, etc., and I was looking for the protagonist of this world too, but I haven't found anything about him.

Such as the ice palace, jade palace, poison pavilion, and the most extreme one, I destroyed and massacred the whole Merchant Alliance because they are just normal people and not cultivators; it is forbidden to touch non-cultivators in times of war.

But I don't give a fuck; they considered themselves neutral, but they decided to cut off all their trade connections with the demonic cult.

Since that incident, I angered everyone. The Murim Alliance decided to ally with the unorthodox faction, many hidden sects, ancient families, and some neutral factions also decided to join their alliance.

It is now the Heavenly Demon vs The world.

And besides all of that, I have to deal with traitors on my side; of course, I already killed them before they could even think about it.

The battle with me vs the world lasted for 1 year and 7 months. The most difficult moment was when I was fighting against 10 leaders, one of whom was the Murim Alliance leader. They were as strong as my father back then, but I managed to kill them all except the Murim Alliance leader

"Where is he!?" I asked while stabbing him in the abdomen.

"*Cough*. You will never find him!" he answered.

"Fine, if you're going to play like that, then I'll just kill all your family members and destroy your lineage," I threaten him.

"Don't!!!" he screamed.

He gritted his teeth and said, "At the top of Mount Tai, there is a simple hut, you can find him there, and you have to keep your word not to kill my family!"

"Of course, I am a man after all; I always kept my word," I said and I ended him while burning him with my divine fire.

I looked up at the full moon, as it was my favorite thing to do, and sighed heavily.

'I'm tired, you know; sometimes I miss my peaceful, enjoyable, chill, and relaxing life in the past before I get reincarnated here' I thought.

'I miss those times when I come back from work and watch movies, read novels, and just relax,' I thought again.

*Sigh*

"Alright, let's get this done quickly," I said and I started walking to my destination.

(1 MONTH LATER, MOUNT TAI)

(Third pov)

As you can see, Cheon Ma had arrived at Mount Tai, and he was immediately greeted by two individuals, old and young. The old one appeared to have white long hair, long eyebrows, a long beard, and green eyes, was not too skinny, and was wearing clothes full of white, He looks like he's in his 70s.

The younger one appeared to have short black hair, sharp eyebrows, sky blue eyes, more buff than the old one; he was wearing clothes full of white as well as a blue sword with a white dragon craving on its scabbard; and he looked like he's in his 20s.

They are Jiang Yeol-Sa and his disciple Baek Jung-Yeon.

(Mc pov)

So that's him; he looks just like what I had imagined, just like in those comics and anime, and the most noticeable thing for me is his aura. The protagonist's aura is really strong; by just looking at him, you immediately know that he is the protagonist as his well-being screams, "I am the chosen one!"

As I was about to say something, he cut me right off.

"You demonic cultivator bastard, why do you come here?' he said.

'fucking hell, this guy...' I thought.

"Pardon my disciple; let us introduce ourselves first," the old man said.

"I am Jiang Yeol-Sa, and this is my disciple, Baek Jung-Yeon," he said again.

"Hmmm...Cheon Ma," I said.

"So what business do you have here?" Jiang asked.

"You know the reason why I am here..." I answered

Before I could continue, suddenly they both attacked me, but I managed to dodge.

"Let's end this, you demonic bastard!" Baek said.

"So be it," I said grinning widely.

(3 days later)

We've been fighting for 3 days straight, and I managed to kill the old man, but not this fucker. During these 3 days, cliche things have happened.

He survived my attack by just an inch and stumbled upon magical herbs out of nowhere—a whole factory of defensive talismans. And the last thing was that when I was about to stab him, his teacher exhausted his energy to just protect him! Like, what the fuck man? I was so close, and so I quickly killed his teacher and burned him.

And by doing that, somehow something inside the protagonist awakened, and he suddenly got a power-up to match my strength.

'What the fuck is this cliche bullshit!?' I thought, So we continue fighting.

/FLASHBACK END, PRESENT TIME/

"You know that you can't kill me, right?" I said.

"Of course," he said, and he continued his word, "But I know something that you don't!"

As soon as he said those words, he threw some kind of stone plate artifact at me. It directly hit me, and I couldn't react fast enough. Time seemed to be frozen around me, but I could still hear and see because Baek said something to me.

"I can't kill you, but that artifact can expel you from this world. For the price of losing all my cultivation base and foundation to activate the artifact, I think it is worth it," he said.

Soon a gate with dazzling light appeared behind me, and I could feel it—the law of the world trying to expel me. I tried to fight back, but my efforts were useless.

(Third pov)

Soon after the gate disappeared, bringing Cheon Ma with it, the world went silent.

After the world went silent for a brief period, we could hear a cry of joy coming from none other than Baek Jung-Yeon.

Months later Flowers bloomed, a rainbow hung beautifully in the sky, the land began to prosper, and once again, Murim welcomed its period of peace.

(Mc pov)

'Not this sh*t again!' I thought as I and the gate disappeared together.

*PLOP*

'Where is this!?' I thought as I observed the situation.

'Is this void? Am I going to meet ROB like in those novels!?' I thought as I excitedly waited for ROB to appear.

"..."

"..."

"..."

Well, I guess not. I tried to circulate my energy and try to move, but suddenly I felt a strong pull coming out of nowhere.

"Fucking again!?" I cursed aloud, and my view went dark.

(ROB pov)

'Consider this as your compensation child, and I'll give you a little gift too, as my cat accidentally put you in the wrong universe. 'Meow," the cat meowed, Rob laughed while caressing his red-eyed black cat.
