Throughout that year, Reginald never saw his mate again. He thought she would come back the next day but days went by and it turned to weeks…and now, he was getting to the third year of his stay in prison.
It had taken all the courage in him to remain calm and stay put in prison until the day he would be released.
There were nights he found it hard to sleep and days he lost his appetite but he made sure to work extra hard on himself.
Sometimes his brain would try to spoil his mood by bringing the thought of his mate's daughter and questions would begin to pop in his mind…
Was this how much she loved her?
Was it his reaction that stopped his mate from coming to see him?
Was she disappointed or angry with him?
Did she stay away because of her daughter?
Was she giving him space to think about it?
But why would she do that? There was no need for space.
"Stop it, Reginald! Positive thinking! Stay positive."
