'I can't.'
Those words were like sharp daggers pierced to his heart. They were difficult to say but they slipped out of his mouth without him realizing it.
Reginald was completely lost as he stared into space. The thought of him marking his mate kept replaying in his mind.
If not for the itchy feeling, hotness and sourness he felt at the left side of his neck, he would've thought it was a dream.
He was overjoyed and content. The only problem now was the fact that he couldn't be with her or it would put his cellmates in danger.
When his mate had told him to come with her, it took every power in him to say those two words;
'I can't.'
It was heartbreaking to say those words and right now, he began to regret his decision. He wanted to be with her so badly. He wanted to spend every second with her and hold her in his arms. There was this strong yearning he couldn't get rid of and it made him sad.
