"What do you think Alpha?"
The lady standing behind him questioned him as he stared back at her with a smile glued to his lips.
She gave him a playful stern look as she watched him through the mirror and he grinned widely, exposing his white set of teeth.
"I love it, lady Kareen." He answered and she smiled back at him before patting him on both shoulders.
"This is your big day Alpha Lewis. I'm really happy for you," Kareen truthfully said and his eyes warmed at what she said.
He took one last look at his hair before getting up from the chair to face her.
"And I'm also happy to have you by my side Lady Kareen…this is also your day." He wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned in to kiss her forehead.
They were a happy couple and Lewis had grown into a very mature and handsome man, making Kareen look younger than him.
But in truth, Kareen was many years older than him. She had stayed back and raised him with his parents when he was just a little boy because she found out he was her soulmate.
And when he grew up into a teen, he loved her dearly but the pull wasn't there yet until he turned into an adult. That was when the mate pull came and he didn't hesitate to mark her.
His eyes lowered to her swollen abdomen and he smiled. He felt very lucky to have her.
"Your parents will be overjoyed to see you this way." He couldn't express how happy he was going to be when he saw their expressions.
"Alpha Reginald will be too stunned to speak." She chuckled and looked down at her belly as well.
Lewis laughed at the thought of seeing Reginald with a puzzled look.
Lewis was older than Reginald but they grew up like they were agemates.
Reginald loved Lewis dearly, especially his blood.
He was so addicted to it when they were little and couldn't control his urge until Lewis had to return to his pack.
"I can't believe we'll be seeing all of them after so many years." Kareen's eyes teared up and she cupped Lewis' face before lowering it to hers so she could rest her forehead against his.
She was madly in love with him and he was more in love with her, he was obsessed with her.
A knock came at their door before it was gently pushed open when Lewis told the person to come in.
It was one of the guards and he bowed at both of them before speaking.
"Alpha Reginald from the Silver Moon Pack just arrived with his beta and they await your presence in the gallery room."
Even though they were in the modern world, Lewis still loved the ancient times and his home looked like a manor.
"That's unbelievable." Lewis muttered to himself as shock covered his face.
He didn't really believe Reginald would show up after many years. He had only hoped.
"This is good, we'll be there in a moment." Kareen said to the man and he left after giving a swift bow.
"He's really here." Lewis faced his mate with an excited look before linking their hands together so they could go welcome him.
Kareen giggled at his expression and let him guide her out of their dressing room.

"Isn't that Kareen?" Spencer pointed at a large portrait in the spacious room and Reginald stared at it as well.
A frown settled on his forehead as he studied the painting.
The artist painted them in such a way that would make people wonder if they existed in ancient times.
Kareen wasn't alone in the portrait. Lewis had his arms wrapped around her waist as he stared down at her, lovingly.
"Look how intimate they are in this portrait. Why will the artist do such a thing?" Spencer had a displeased look because Kareen was Amelia's aunty.
"Reginald!"
Someone burst into the room and their heads turned in the direction of the door.
It was Reginald's father's brother. The man looked very mature and had some white locks.
He wore royal robes and a thick lion skin coat rested on his shoulders.
"Alpha Ernouf." Reginald respectfully called his uncle with a warm smile and covered the distance so he could embrace him.
When they hugged, Ernouf gave him a brotherly pat on the back before kissing him on both cheek.
"Look how big you've grown and I can see a lot of your father in you." He complimented after releasing him from the hug.
"And you look the same, Alpha Ernouf." Reginald complimented back.
"Oh Reginald!" Ernouf's mate, Philomena, exclaimed as she also engulfed him in a warm hug.
"Is that Spencer? Unbelievable! You've really added a lot of skin." Ernouf taunted Reginald's beta and it made him nervous but he smiled.
"Come give this uncle of yours a big hug will you." Ernouf invited him in as he spread his arms.
Spencer swallowed his saliva and went in and as expected, Ernouf squeezed him tightly.
"Look how handsome you are my dear…we nearly thought you wouldn't be coming but what a pleasant surprise." Philomena said to Reginald and she took in the features of his well structured face.
"We're here now Luna Philomena and I'm really glad to see you after such a long time." Reginald smiled at her after saying those words.
She had been a mother figure to him when Valeria left.
"Oh, how I've missed you so much Reginald." She gave his right cheek a light pat.
"You're so strong Alpha Ernouf, I nearly felt my bone crack," Spencer complained and it made Ernouf laugh.
"Where is Amelia?" Philomena looked around when she found only both of them.
"On her way Luna, she'll be coming with the others." Reginald answered with a nonchalant look, giving nothing away.
"Oh…that's better."
Reginald's gaze shifted from Philomena when he sensed a presence. And as expected, his eyes met with Lewis as he entered the room while supporting a pretty lady.
Spencer's eyes widened in shock and he gaped at them.
"Shocking right?" Ernouf whispered to Spencer with a humorous look.
The slight frown on Reginald's face disappeared and got replaced with shock and confusion.
Lewis chuckled and he walked hand in hand with Kareen to meet them.
Reginald's eyes were glued to Kareen's swollen belly and he remained frozen until they reached him.
"I'm so happy to see you Regi…look at you." Kareen spoke as tears clouded her vision before she hugged him.
Reginald's eyes shifted to Lewis who grinned widely at him, as if waiting for him to say something.
"Don't tell me it's what I'm thinking?" Spencer blurted out the question as he came to Reginald's side while watching Kareen.
"It is exactly what you're thinking Spence. Didn't you see those portraits?" Lewis pointed at them with his chin and Spencer turned to look at the others he hadn't noticed.
"She is your…mate." The word 'mate' came out of Reginald's mouth with difficulty.
"She is." Lewis agreed as he placed his hand on her waist when she pulled away from Reginald.
Kareen smiled at Reginald who returned his gaze back to her to confirm what he saw.
"You're a couple." Spencer couldn't believe his ears as he watched them in fascination.
"We are, Spencer." Kareen laughed as she went to him so she could give him a hug.
Lewis' gaze followed her and so did Reginald before they stared at each other.
"This is really great news Lewis, congratulations." Reginald closed the distance between them and engulfed Lewis in a tight hug.
Ernouf and Philomena simply watched in silence as they reunited.
"I've missed you so much Reginald." Lewis confessed as tears threatened to fall.
"I know Lewis and so do I." Reginald didn't deny it.
Kareen smiled as she watched them. She became emotional and began to tear up.
"Oh Kareen, come now dear…my grandchild is really giving you such a hard time."
Philomena wrapped her left arm around Kareen's shoulder and led her to one of the chairs so she could sit for a while.
Spencer had a satisfied look as he watched Reginald still hugging Lewis.
"They remind me of my late brother and I." Ernouf confessed to Spencer as he watched them with sad eyes.
The void of losing his brother was still there but he refused to let it overwhelm him, thanks to his mate, Philomena, who was constantly by his side.
Spencer had never met Reginald's father but with what his father told him made him have a deep understanding of who he was.
