"Let's give it about twenty to thirty minutes to work…or less." Reginald grinned mischievously at his daughter who stared back at him with a perplexed look.
"What's going on, Reginald?" Drussilla couldn't seem to understand what he was up to.
"Give it time, Beauty." He stood up and swiftly carried Fortune in his arms before she would run away or act smart.
"Let me go! Mami!" The little girl screamed while banging her father's chest but he looked unfazed as he walked to a lone white chair and sat her on it before warning in a stern voice.
"Don't you dare get up from this chair."
Drussilla stood up with a deep furrow at her forehead. He was being mean to their daughter.
"Reginald? Is something wrong?" She carefully asked as she approached him and gently rubbed his left shoulder.
His eyes were trained on his daughter as he glared at her. They both held each other's gaze and Fortune looked pissed.
