Love of a gangster

Paul stood on the balcony and gazed at the full moon. He then looked at the lights down in the city far away. A gentle breeze stirred the trees that lined the driveway leading to the small country house. It had rained earlier in the day and the air still smelled fresh.

He smiled as he rubbed the scar on his shoulder. A grim reminder of the life he once lived. He had been an area leader and a gangster but he had never been caught or arrested. He spent many years driving fear into the hearts of many people until a bullet wound and a woman changed his life.

Bella was fast asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. She had a very long day at the hospital as there were many emergency cases. She had been a theatre nurse for the past two years after moving from the city to get away from the noise and busyness of city life.

Bella went to nursing school after leaving high school. She had always wanted to be a nurse to help others in recovering from illnesses and injuries.

Her first job after finishing her training was at a clinic in a volatile community in the inner city. She had to deal with many patients who got injured during gang war, some of whom had gunshot wounds. She was doing a very good job until a tall dark handsome man walked in with a gunshot wound.
