"The MASKED Killer has committed a murder once again at 1:34a. This time, at the Houston Residence on East side." The female on the news informed,
"Harris Houston seemed to be tortured, Johanna Houston was Shot, While Their Son, Terrance Houston was hung off the roof of the housing with a gunshot wound to the leg."
"Jeez. . . That's just terrible." I frowned deeply, 'Maybe I should call in and ask my Boss for a day off. The killer struck so close to my location.' I thought.
Soon, I was snapped out of my thoughts from a knock at the door.
I walked over and looked out the peep-hole, Sighing in relief as I saw my Best friend, Endros. Opening the door, I greeted him with a smile.
"What's good, A.J?" Endros grinned, walking inside as he closed the door. "Hey, Endros! What are you doing here?" I asked, tilting my head.
He just hummed, Shrugging as he scratched the back of his head. "I just heard about the nearby murders and got worried since it's down the street to your house."
I chuckled.
Endros has always been the type to make sure I was all right when something bad happens nearby. I actually feel extremely safe when he's around.
We've been friends since Middle school, and now we're both 20. . . Well, Endros is 24. I'm the one that's 20. We were in different grades after all.
"Well, Since you're here. . . You want to do something?" I asked him, walking to my fridge and took out 2 Cokes. "Now that you mention it. . ." Endros's eyes gazed up and down my body as he gave me a faint smug.
I scowled at him as he chuckled, "I told you to stop joking like that. . !" I complained, giving him the coke as he took it and wrapped his arm around my neck.
"All right, All right! Let's just watch something." He suggested. We both sat on the couch as he turned on the TV.
"Watching the News, Hm?" Endros hummed, "You honestly never watched the news. Did the killer catch your interest?" He asked.
I just looked up, thinking for a moment before giving him a grin. "I guess so."
Endros seemed satisfied with my answer, Nodding slowly. "Good." His voice was sleek and as quiet as if he was speaking to himself than me. "Good?" I repeated, Raising my eyebrow at him.
"That you're actually watching the news and shit..." He cleared his throat as he popped open the coke top and drank some. "Either way, We should definitely go out today. Y'know, You and me." He gave me a playful wink.
I just punched his shoulder, "Dude, I'm not gay man stop playing like that! But. . . Sure, Just for today." I rubbed the crook of my neck.
Endros sighed, relaxing. I was close to relaxing, until a knock was heard at the door. "Police, May we have a word?" I heard a male tone outside the door.
I groaned in annoyance as I stood up, Turning and walking to the door. "Coming, Once second." I told them, unlocking the door.
Upon opening, I saw a female & male officer. "Yes?"
"We've just come to ask if you've seen anything suspicious or unusual around here? Like, a Man running or hiding from something?" The female asked.
I shook my head, "No, Not really since I don't usually look outside." I shrugged, crossing my arms.
The male hummed, nodding as he looked past me, to Endros. "What about you, Sir?" He asked him.
Endros just shook his head. He had an odd frown on his face while talking to the officer. I didn't think much of it, after all, Not everyone likes talking to the police.
"Sorry we're not much help, I hope you find the killer soon." I apologized, The Male officer just nodded. "It's not your problem, don't worry. We just need you two to stay home for today as we search the Neighborhood." He told us.
I sighed and nodded, "All right, Officer." I responded as the two gave me a faint grin and walked away.
I shut the door and walked over to Endros, Sitting back down. "I guess we can't leave for today." I sighed.
Endros groaned in annoyance before crossing his arms, "Well. . . I guess we're sneaking out tonight." He ruffled my white hair with his hands. "All right, All right! Though, If we get caught, I'm blaming you!" I scowled at him.
He just rolled his eyes and shoved me playfully. "Fine with me, I have somewhere special for the both of us to go today."

Endros shook me, making me groan as I rubbed my eyes. ' I fell asleep. . ? ' I thought, pushing myself out of bed.
I was soon picked up and placed on my feet, making me groan in annoyance. "Endros. . ?" I mumbled.
"Wake up, Sleepy head. The police cars are gone." He told me, giving me a faint grin, "Perfect time to sneak out."
Upon hearing what he said, I became more awake slightly as I grinned. "Well, Let's go!"
He chuckled and gripped my wrist, pulling me out of my room, down the stairs and through the living room until we got to the garage where both our cars were parked.
He opened the passenger side and winked at me, "Your seat, Mister." He bowed as if he were a butler. I just rolled my eyes and decided to play along with his little game, "Why thank you, Kind sir." I sat down as he closed the door.
He walked to the Driver's side and opened the door, Sitting and closing the door as he pulled off.
"I really can't believe we're doing this, right now. . ." I groaned, leaning back into the seat as I stared at the street. "Don't worry too much, Avon." He comforted.
I just sighed, continuing to look at the building that passed.
