"01:32PM..'
"Man, this thing is wrecking all of my existing braincells"
Shino groaned as she lazily sat on her chair after looking for too long in her computer.
"I never thought it would be this complicated..."
--------
'06:40AM'
"Ah, Shino-Chan this might surprise you but.. you are not in my class anymore."
"Eh?!?!, Ms.Suki Why? did i do something wrong?"
"How can i say this... well not really, i just got informed by the Head Teacher yesterday night while im working on my next lesson, you know, just report to the Head Teacher Haruki"
"I see, see you then!"
Shino left the classroom while her classmates started whispering at each other making gossips.
"Alright class let's us start our lesson"
----
'06:53AM'
"Ah i see so that's why"
Shino sighed in relief
"Yeah, no one can really manage the time of taking classes and practicing tankery and so based on Sen Sha Do Federation Guidelines for tankery teams, they will do these self learning kits so they could focus on their tankery training, but will still study just like any other students"
Shino nodded.
"That makes sense, so i guess this is gonna be my routine starting from now on"
Haruki nodded
After receiving confirmation Shino grabbed the self learning books and kits and packed it in her bag.
"Thank you for clarification Mr.Haruki it was such a relief!"
"You are welcome"
Shino waved goodbye and left the school faculty.
-------
Shino unlocked the club room and went in and was quite surprised at the scale of the room. Unlike clubs she went joined before the room has a projector area, coat hangers and alot of stuff she barely recognizes she then also noticed a door that is labelled as Training Field, she strolled around the large open field and saw a garage that could fit many cars in it.
"Just, what kind of club is tankery.."
Looking inside the garage she saw cranes power and hand tools organized in toolboxes, welding machines and military grade oil which made her slightly uncomfortable.
"Im starting to not feel like this will be an ordinary club, i might regret this in the future.."
Shino told to herself whilst looking around the garage.
After exploring the area for hours she went back to the clubroom walking around she looked at the large table and saw there are more fields reserved for tankery only and she is quite surprised at this information
'So you're telling me that this is the requirement for a tankery team, a giant field, like this is literally all the school sports club combined from basketball, volleyball, running and swimming... and its not even enough'
Shino thought to herself while holding her charmor.
Looking around again she saw a computer desk near the projector and with interest to use it she opened it.
After a bit of testing she is disappointed to find out its a registered school computer and so can't use it for watching videos online while at school and so Shino just decided to browse the internet about tankery and tanks in general.
She began her session by watching tankery tournaments before and rigorously read tank articles online and also binged herself in internet forum arguments about the performance of tanks..
And here is all she learned.
First off she started with German Tanks and at first looking at it on paper they're not that bad on the surface level, but Shino decided to dug deeper after seeing a few online arguments into these provided information and she saw their actual combat performance which is not so great.
The Panzer 2-4 series are considered decent and reliable however going through the heavy tanks things might get complicated and slurry, for example the Tiger 1 is called by many history buffs "Nightmare for allied tanker" however this piece lf metal box is a over engineered mess of a tank.
Starting with its track its interleaving road wheels is not beneficial at all many of its myth such as having a smooth drive is simply a myth regurgitated by uneducated guesses and biased praises, it actually made the tank more heavier and it made the tank cost more to maintain than its other heavy tank counterparts such as the American Sherman Jumbo and the British Churchill.
And so in the end Shino opted not to use German tanks after deep consideration wanting to have cheaper and easy to maintain tanks which lead to her going through the list of American Tanks.
She started with the basic such as M4A1 Shermans.
The sherman had a terrible reputation in surface level online tank forums being called a metal coffin however the more you look into it they're much more better than many people say.
The pros of a sherman tank started with its angled front armor because of that it could possibly bounce more shells compared to its competitor the panzer 4's flat front armor
Also many proven studies shows its ergonomics could make the crew relax being spacious and being able to evacuate the tank after getting hit.
There is also one thing a sherman got that made Shino raised her brows and its the independent gunner sight.
Say compare the Panther Tank to the Sherman Tank
When it comes to gunnery the Panther doesn't have much of a sight other than its small gunner sight in its cannon since most of the vision will be provided by the commander however this will lead to many problems with this setup such as the commander making the wrong range guessing and possibly failing the shot.
Now when it comes to the independent gunner sight of the Sherman Tank the commander would only do is call out the direction of the enemy tank and the Sherman gunner could do all the math to aim and fire at the enemy tank and with the help of a gun stabilizer on its cannon, even if the first shot missed the second shot will not miss.
Also its parts is also cheaper to produce and maintain its road wheel design is not complicated to maintain as well which is pretty much a gift to behold for any tankers not wanting to spend most of their life repairing their tigers.
Its a good tank in Shino conclusion but its still has cons needed to be addressed such as its engine being an aircraft radial engine, because of this choice the sherman is pretty much a tower and could be detected far away, and the radial engine is also prone to breakdown if the driver got reckless with it and so Shino began considering her options, and after looking at French, British, Soviet and Japanese tanks she decided to go for the American tanks after spending hours of her life reading long online arguments.
She also learned that the Soviet tanks are too cramped for tankers inside the tank, French tanks in general are too outdated with their char b1 and somua's cavalry tanks, while the Japanese ones are simply outgunned having a paper thin armor and the British tanks are too slow like the Churchill and the Mathilda Tanks.
In the end after digging deeper and deeper in many tank forums she found a tank that suited her ideas of tank battles.
'The General Motor Carriage M18 Hellcat' She read the article name
She started looking at the hellcat's history and saw many feats against its more heavily armored opponents, its speed and gun could outflank German,British and even Soviet Heavy Tanks with ease and also its also not very expensive to maintain since many of its part are mass produced its a perfect tank she thought in her mind however.
It was then when the school bell rang and she took a deep sigh and turned off the school computer and went to go home.
She still needs to do more research related to tankery and there is a lot to learn.
