I kept my gaze on the floor and stylishly used my hair to cover my face, hoping he would not see me but it was too late.
He walked directly towards me and I bit my lower lips anxiously.
"Raise your head" He commanded in a stern but annoying voice.
"Now, he thundered which made me shake in fears, I quickly raised my head to meet with those mocking brown eyes of his.
" How dare you ignore me when I called yesterday, he asked but I still kept mute.
"I asked you a question, miss" he asked but I still kept mute which I guess angered him.
The next thing he did wasn't really surprising, I had expected it anyway just that the slap was much more painful this time compared to the previous ones.
Whenever Shane Ramirez asks you a question, you should fucking answer me, got that?! He shouted and I nodded as my eyes became moist with tears.

"Whatever Shane Ramirez, the manager of this exclusive restaurant wants, he gets it and what I want.... Is you" He whispered the last part in my ear as he trailed his index finger around my neck.

My head is reaching Zyan's elbow and I must confess, Zyan is tall.
Two of the staffs helped Shane up and Zyan held me more securely.
"The both of you are fired" He said, jerked his hands free and staggered away in pain.
"Are you okay?" Zyan asked and I nodded amidst tears.
"Are you sure?" He asked worriedly and I slowly pulled away from the hug.
" I'm sorry for making you lose your job, I'll go to Shane and give him whatever he wants just so you can have your job back".
"You'll do no such thing" He replied and used his thumb to wipe away my tears.
"I'll drive you home" He said and like a helpless puppy, I obliged and followed him obediently.
We soon got to my house and I got down from his car.
"Remember that whatever happens Zyan will always be there for you" he said in a consoling manner. I flashed him a weak smile.
"Thanks so much Zyan"
My pleasure, are you sure you are going to be fine all alone.
"I will, I promise" I said and waved weakly before going in and locked the door behind me.
I sat on the floor in front of the door and hugged knees closer to my chest.
"I miss you so much, mum, I wish you were here to console me"I muttered as I stroked her silver bracelet which she gave to me when I was a child on her sick bed and told me to always keep it safe, it is a lucky charm bracelet.
" If you really are a lucky charm bracelet, then I would like to make a wish. I want to go very far away from here, where I've got everything, my parents, I don't have to work hard to get anything I want, where I'm the wife of the most influential man and where I've got Zyan by my side. I wish that was possible "I muttered wistfully as I placed my head on my knees, hugging my leg even closer.
I suddenly felt a tingling sensation on my hand and when I turned to look at it, the bracelet suddenly came off my hand and it stood at the center of the living room, then it begin to grow big till it stopped at the size where a human could fit in.
My jaw dropped as I stood up and held the door knob fearfully. What the heck is going on?.
