Chapter 3 - chapter 3 : A call for honor

Two years have passed since Elena found solace within the Moonbeam Pack. Time has woven its threads, binding her to the pack's rhythms and traditions. Now, the bi-yearly hunt, a test of skill and a training ground for warriors, was finally upon them. The anticipation in the air crackled like static, filling the pack with an electric buzz.

The sun cast a warm golden glow across the landscape as Elena woke, the morning light filtering through her window. Birds chirped melodiously, their song a backdrop to the serenity of the dawn. Rising from her bed, Elena went through her morning routine, preparing herself for the challenges that lay ahead.

Donning a tight-fitted training outfit that hugged her lithe form, Elena made her way to the training field. The air was crisp and filled with the scent of anticipation. As she approached the field, she spotted Bosely, already engaged in a series of warm-up exercises. A smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she greeted her fellow warrior.

"Good morning, Bosely," Elena greeted, her voice carrying a touch of excitement.

"Morning, Elena," Bosely replied, her eyes shining with a mischievous glint. "Have you heard the latest gossip making its rounds in the packs?"

Intrigued, Elena leaned in closer, eager to hear the juicy tidbits. Bosely began to regale her with tales of Ashley, a mated female who had cheated on her mate, Harry, with a human male. The news sent shockwaves through the pack, for such betrayals were not taken lightly. Elena listened intently, her heart heavy with the weight of the consequences that Ashley would face.

"Most likely, Ashley will be subjected to a beating," Bosely explained, her voice tinged with a mixture of sympathy and judgment. "And the child she carries, it's a grim fate. The pack will likely decree that the child be killed."

The gravity of the situation hung heavy in the air, a reminder of the strict rules and unforgiving nature of their world. Elena felt a pang of sorrow, for she knew the pain and repercussions of betrayal all too well. Yet, she also understood the necessity of maintaining order and loyalty within the pack.

As the conversation shifted, the weight of the impending punishment lingered in their minds. But Elena and Bosely made a pact, deciding to leave those worries for another time. They agreed to embark on a shopping trip after their training session—a chance to indulge in the simple pleasures of life amidst the chaos of their warrior existence.

With their minds focused, Elena and Bosely readied themselves for an intense sparring session. The training field transformed into a battleground, their bodies becoming vessels for the art of combat. They danced and weaved, exchanging blows and displaying a symphony of techniques, the fight was a spectacle of fluidity and precision, each movement a testament to their honed abilities. Elena utilized her agility, darting in and out, launching calculated strikes. Bosely countered with her raw strength, every move executed with deadly accuracy. They danced across the training field, a symphony of power and finesse.

Bosely's strength and skill were evident as she flung Elena over her shoulder, winning the bout. But instead of triumphing, she extended a hand to help Elena to her feet. There was a shared understanding between them, a bond forged through the crucible of battle.

Elena's smile was bright and determined as she spoke, her voice laced with an unyielding spirit. "One day, Bosely, mark my words, I will succeed in besting you."

Bosely chuckled, her eyes alight with admiration. "I have no doubt, Elena. Your spirit and determination are unrivaled. I await the day when our roles are reversed."

They shared a moment of camaraderie, their smiles echoing the unspoken respect they held for each other. However, the tranquility was shattered by the sound of a horn, its call reverberating through the speakers on the field. The urgency in its tone jolted them from their reverie.

Elena and Bosely exchanged glances, an unspoken understanding passing between them. They knew that the horn signaled a general meeting called by Alpha Kiara herself. Dread seeped into their veins as they made their way toward the Emerald Hall, the gathering place where justice would be meted out.

As they walked side by side, their footsteps heavy with anticipation, they couldn't help but feel a twinge of unease. The inkling they had about the purpose of the meeting tightened its grip on their hearts. Shadows danced along the walls of the hall, mirroring the gathering storm within their souls.

With each step, the weight of the impending punishment grew heavier, casting a pall over their thoughts. The bonds of loyalty and duty held them captive, and they braced themselves.

As they approached the hall, their steps slowed, anticipation and unease gripping their hearts. They entered the grand hall, the air heavy with tension. The pack members gathered, their gazes fixed upon the elevated platform where Alpha Kiara stood, exuding authority and power.

Alpha Kiara's voice echoed through the hall, her words carrying the weight of the pack's justice. The atmosphere grew somber as she began to speak of loyalty, trust, and the consequences of breaching the pack's sacred bonds. The Alpha's gaze turned to Ashley, who stood before her, head bowed in shame.

The judgment was swift and severe. The pack's wrath descended upon Ashley, punishment befitting her betrayal, the ritual for the punishment required the offender to be whipped 145 times and although it seems a lot for humans it was moderate enough for werewolves and then her stomach would be cut open and the child killed the blood would be given to the mother to drink and then her heart would be pulled out for the men it was more severe, the man would be beaten 200 times, have his d!ck cut of and used to plug him in the ass then he is tortured endlessly for a week before ripping out his internal organs Elena watched in silence, her heart heavy with a mix of empathy and gratitude. She knew that the pack's unforgiving judgment served to protect their unity and the sanctity of their bonds but she had mixed feelings about the child itself
