It was raining and cold, but your quarters were warm. It was silent and very lonely, so you decided to go to the library and accidentally bumped into Chiyo which you tried to avoid. "Y/n…please don't avoid me…I didn't have a choice but to marry him…your father released me to him," Chiyo explained. "I don't blame you Chiyo…you don't know how he really is…is he treating you right?" you asked. "Yes, although he has not visited my quarters for a little over six months…he treats me well," she explained. "That is good, have you seen the second and third wife…I would like to meet with you guys this evening before dinner," you said to Chiyo. Chiyo nodded. That evening you, Akina, Hanaku, and Chiyo met in the library. "I called the meeting because Enji will be at the palace for over a month and we need to work together," you explained. "I think we should assign tasks," Akina added. "Well…since you are the first wife and pregnant you should do the least," Hanaku added. "I may be the first wife but I am very capable of doing tasks," you stated. "I was thinking since Enji will be at the palace for over a month, maybe we could go to a bathhouse for a couple of days like a ladies retreat…what do you ladies think…I think we all deserve a little treat," you smiled. They all looked at each other, smiled at each other, and nodded in agreement. "Who will ask Enji?" Chiyo questioned. You stood up "I will, I am the first wife after all," you smiled and they all giggled.
The dinner table was quiet and Enji walked in and sat at the head of the table. He looked around to see all his wives looking at him and you. "Okay loves what's this about?" he questioned. You were the first to speak. "Enji…we would like to go to the mountains where the famous bathhouse is…a ladies retreat…we would like permission to journey there when you go to the palace," you asked. "We can take your most loyal guards and servants with us," Akina added. "I see…all of you want to journey there together?…without me," he said. We all didn't like what he was saying because the answer might be 'no'. "I think we should wait until y/n births my child, then we all can journey there," he suggested. "Please husband, I think it would be nice for only the four of us to journey there," you suggested. "My Plum Blossom, I don't think it's wise for you to travel that far in your condition," he said to you. "I am only 6 months pregnant," you replied. Your smile faded because you were looking forward to this retreat without Enji but he had to insert his oni self. "I think it would be lovely for the wives to go on this trip," you said while clenching your teeth. Akina and Chiyo knew that your temper is about to explode. Enji slammed his fist on the table and everyone flinched, but you on the other hand did not. "Husband control your temper," you commented. "Ha…you telling me to control my temper…the audacity…I'm not hungry…excuse me," he said while standing up and stomping out. You followed after. "Enji! This is not fair…every day of every year we all have to obey you! And the one thing we want you to do…what's your response? It's a 'NO'...I think you are a tyrannical oni!" you yelled at him. He stopped in his tracks. "Y/n why must you insist on being such a…," he didn't want to finish his sentence so, he proceeded to walk. "Go on…say it…say BITCH!" you yelled out. You followed him to the stables. "Why are you following me Plum Blossom?" he questioned. "Where are you going oni? Probably finding a new wife perhaps?" you taunted him. "Y/n," he warned you. "What are you going to do to me that you haven't done already?!" you retorted. "Oh I know, send me away along with my sons!" you added. He quickly went to you and gripped your jaw looking straight into your eyes. "I. Will. Never. Send. My. Plum. Blossom. Away…the fact that you suggest that is ludacris…no, Plum Blossom, I will never let you go…you will be by my side until the day you die," he whispered to you. He looked evil at that moment he truly did scare you. At that moment he looked pure insane. "You're not well Enji…I think I will send for a doctor," you said while walking away. "I am well y/n…now leave me be," he hissed then mounted a horse.
Walking back to the mansion he passed you by his horse and almost ran you over. You quickly ran to your quarters and were too frightened the next day to join them for your meals. Enji knew he frightened you so he went to your quarters after breakfast. Sliding the door open you took a step back in fear of what he might do to you. "Why are you frightened of me wife…you were never frightened of your 'oni'," he taunted you. Protecting your pregnant belly you took another step back. "Getaway! Leave me be husband…you're scaring me…please leave," you ordered. "Have you forgotten who's house you live in, my dear wife?" he questioned while taking another step forward. "I'm leaving," you comment while quickly trying to walk by Enji. He grabbed your wrists and flung you into his embrace roughly to the point he knocked the wind off of you. "You are NOT going anywhere…after all you are pregnant with my fourth child," he hissed. "Please don't hurt my baby!" you pleaded. "You think I might hurt my child? Woman, you reached new levels of stupidity," he angrily whispered. "No, no I won't ever hurt my child," he whispered. "But, you my beautiful Plum Blossom…Ohhh…I have plans for you that don't require me to hurt the bottom half of you," he evilly smiled. Wide-eyed you struggled to break free from his tightening grip. "Ah, ah, ah…don't struggle…don't struggle, I think I have tolerated you for countless years…and I had enough," he hissed.
Screams echoed through the corridors of the mansion. The screams reached the other wives to the point they had to close their ears. They were all worried about y/n to the point Akina fainted. They realized that the reason y/n called him oni was because he truly was one towards her. Enji slammed your door open and call for a servant. "Send for the doctor… the first wife had a very bad accident," he lied. He straightened himself up and went to his study so as not to be bothered until dinner. You struggled to crawl in your bed but couldn't see due to the swollen eyes he had given you. You couldn't breathe from the pain he had caused. You checked your pregnant belly to see if your child was alright and safe to say he did not touch your belly. What he did to you was vile, was the actions of a true oni. Shouto was the first to reach you but you locked the door to avoid him and your other son from seeing what their father did to you. Only letting the doctor in.
Shaking from the pain you stood up and called for the servants to help you straighten yourself up for dinner. You walked towards the dining room. Ignoring the gasps from behind you, you entered the room. Akina's eyes widened when you sat across the table, Chiyo almost in tears, and Hanaku was speechless, to say the least. They all looked at you stunned. Shouto and Natsuo were the first ones to go to you and you gesture them to go back to their places. Before Enji arrived in the dining room. Natsuo was clenching his fists out of anger but, your eye gesture told him to calm down. Everyone was silent the moment Enji walked into the room. He didn't once look at his handy work. "Akina cares to walk with me to the gardens this beautiful evening?" he asked her. "I must tend to Fuyumi, she is sick today," Akina answered. "Okay," he replied. "Hanaku…care to join me in the library…I can read you poetry," he offered Hanaku. "I am a sorry husband, I must bathe myself," she said to him. "Oh okay, very well," he answered back. "Chiyo, you will join me in my bed tonight," he ordered Chiyo. "My lord husband, I will attend to the first wife and her injuries," Chiyo said to him. He finally looked upon you and what he did. "Don't look at me ONI!...oh I hate you so much" you yelled out and stood up. "If you excuse me I will adjourn to my sleeping quarters…and as for you ONI! I will be notifying the emperor about this…it is highly illegal to abuse your wife!" with that you limped to your room.
When you got in your room you quickly grabbed a parchment and writing utensil and started to write to your father.
Dear Father,
I have been married to Enji Todoroki for over 15 years and wish to be released from this union. Father, in my 6th month of pregnancy Enji Todoroki physically assaulted me. I wished to have an audience with the Emperor and Empress. I feel that they will grant my request.
Enji abruptly slammed the sliding door open to find you writing to your father asking for the audience of the Emperor. "I see that you are writing to your father…don't you see that it is a waste of your time and paper. I will never let this letter leave my property," he smirked. "You tyrant! Get out, get out…leave me be! You harmed me enough! Get out!" you screamed. He stood you up and threw you on the bed. "No, don't! You never touch your wives when we are with child," you screamed out of fear. "Ah, but you're the exception, my dear Plum Blossom," he angrily said to you. He ripped your yukata exposing your pregnant belly, swollen breasts filled with milk. You quickly crawled to the other side of the bed and he grabbed your swollen ankle. "I think it is high time to teach you how to be submissive to me, my Plum Blossom," he hissed to you while ripping his yukata exposing his naked body. "No, no, no please my baby," you pleaded with him while embracing your belly. But your pleas were ignored. "I will not prepare you for this lovemaking, wife" he warned you. Ripping off his yukata he quickly grabbed your struggling body and dragged you to him. That night he raped you repeatedly until morning broke through. He left you bruised, broken, bloodied, and very fearful of your husband. Dragging yourself out of bed, sore you inspected your pregnant belly. A sharp pain shot up to your pregnant belly to the point it brought you to your knees. You screamed to the servants to call the midwife. Enji heard the commotion and knew right away what he had done to you he felt guilty. But yet he did not come to you because he knew that you would scream him out of your quarters and he wouldn't blame you. The midwife rushed to Enji. "My lord your wife isn't doing well, she is bleeding and it is too early for the birth," the midwife had stated. "Well woman…do what is necessary to save both my child and wife," he ordered. The midwife knew the cause of y/n's sudden bleeding and pain but did not want to mention it to Enji in fear that she might be put in prison or worse death. She quickly rushed back to y/n's quarters and stopped the bleed. Lady y/n you must stay in bed with plenty of rest…I must stay with you during the remainder of your pregnancy. You nodded and fell asleep.
