Chapter 43 - Chapter-43

Sin inquired of Eric whether he was an adventurer because with his power he could be one, to which Eric promptly responded in the negative. Unfortunately, due to the advanced stage of his years, Eric found himself unwanted and unrecruited by any potential team or organization in search of brave souls to embark on daring escapades.

Sin then inquired if he had any inclination towards accompanying him on the dungeon in the near future, as he discerned potential within him. Consequently, a surge of curiosity enveloped him, prompting a burning desire to witness the extent of his companion's (Eric) prowess.

Eric gave a nod of agreement and expressed his intention to become a member of their team. Eric expressed his keen desire to possess the same level of power as Sin, emphasizing his determination to become stronger in order to ultimately overpower him, regardless of the formidable skills Sin may possess.

After sharing a hearty laugh, Sin replied, expressing that the other person would never be able to lay a hand on him. Nonetheless, Sin revealed that there was a potential way for the individual to bridge the gap and approach him in terms of strength.

Nonetheless Sin gave satisfied nod and inquired about Eric's surname, to which he responded by stating that he belonged to the common class so he don't have any. Furthermore, he disclosed that he resided specifically in the western sector of the eminent Asmodeus duchy.

Sin agreed with the statement, acknowledging that it was indeed a rare occurrence for commoners to surpass nobles in terms of strength. The primary reason behind this discrepancy lay in the fact that commoners had limited access to the abundant resources and privileges that noble families possessed.

These resources, ranging from top-tier training facilities to renowned mentors, provided nobles with a significant advantage in their pursuit of strength. On the other hand, commoners often lacked such opportunities, making it more challenging for them to attain the same level of power as their noble counterparts.

In conclusion, Sin acknowledged the inherent challenges faced by commoners in their quest for strength, attributing their relative lack of resources and opportunities as the primary factors. However, Sin also highlighted an intriguing phenomenon that occasionally unfolded within this dynamic. Despite the odds stacked against them, there were instances when a commoner managed to elevate themselves above their station and ascend to the noble ranks through their own strength and determination. This occurrence, though infrequent, served as a testament to the exceptional capabilities possessed by certain individuals from humble backgrounds. In such cases, Sin noted that these exceptional commoners were often recognized and rewarded for their achievements, ultimately earning them noble status.

This recognition was not bestowed solely based on their newfound strength but also on their ability to overcome the limitations imposed on them by societal norms and preconceived notions. Their journey from commoner to noble symbolized a triumph of individual potential and resilience, illuminating the possibility for social mobility and advancement beyond one's birthright. However, they aren't level as commoners anymore because they are noble now, in the end, commoners still remain weaker.

Sin informed Eric that if he were to enhance his strength, he would eventually attain a noble status. Nevertheless, Eric responded with a hint of bitterness, expressing his desire for wealth and recognition rather than nobility. In his perspective, nobility symbolizes a societal construct that perpetuates the belittlement and disdain for the common people.

Upon hearing his statement, Sin found himself in agreement and expressed that he shared a dislike for those particular types of nobles. Nevertheless, he must acknowledge that not all nobles should be painted with the same brush, as there are surely some who possess admirable qualities. Sin also emphasized the importance of individual judgment when it comes to distinguishing between good and bad, as everyone's perspectives differ. What Sin may perceive as a morally deficient individual, others may view as an upstanding and virtuous person.

The referee approached them and proclaimed them the winners since the other two individuals were unsuccessful in rousing from slumber.

Upon hearing this, Sin expressed his gratitude to the referee and rose from his seat to offer a handshake in a display of sportsmanship. The referee found himself perplexed by Sin's unexpected behavior, as it was unusual for individuals, particularly those from noble backgrounds, to engage in such gestures of respect and camaraderie.

Upon witnessing the action of Sin, Eric also stood up and expressed gratitude towards the referee before extending his hand for a handshake, Sin couldn't help but smile softly. At that moment, Sin realized that the young boy believed this act to be a customary tradition. This revelation sparked something within Sin, as he pondered the possibility of imparting a valuable lesson to Eric.

After informing Eric that they would be separating for the day, Sin expressed their anticipation for Eric's presence at the guild the following day.

With a smile lighting up his face, Eric expressed his enthusiasm and readiness to meet him at the designated location. Sin reciprocated the excitement, extending his hand for a handshake and mirroring the same smile. In a rush of anticipation, Eric eagerly clasped Sin's hand in his own.

Once Sin arrived at the mansion, Ira couldn't contain her excitement and hurriedly made her way towards him. Without wasting a moment, she eagerly inquired about the outcome of his endeavor. With a beaming smile on his face, Sin proudly announced that he had successfully qualified for the next round. Instantly, Ira's heart swelled with joy, although deep down, she couldn't help but feel a sense of inevitability. After all, it was only expected given Sin's undeniable strength and prowess.

Madam Rubi entered the drawing room, accompanied by Athena who trailed behind. Curiously, Madam Rubi inquired about Sin's performance in the initial stage. In response, Sin confidently stated that the task had proven to be a mere cakewalk for him.

Madam Rubi's lips curled into a knowing smile and said just as expected. Athena, unable to contain her curiosity, inquired if he had used the Heaven Piercer Techniques on the stage.

Sin informed her that there was no necessity for him to take that action, as he had already emerged victorious in the match even before he was propelled to such an extreme extent.

Athena's smile mirrored that of Madam Rubi, just as she anticipated. With excitement bubbling within Ira, she expressed her eagerness for the day when Sin would grace the main stage. The mere thought of their long-awaited battle, taking place on that very same stage, filled her with an indescribable sense of anticipation.

Sin informed her that she would emerge victorious in any scenario against him. In response, she emitted a hearty laugh and confidently stated that the validity of such a claim could only be ascertained when the opportune moment arrived. It was as if their goal was to get defeated when they met each other.

Madam Rubi and Athena exit the building, informing them that they are on their way to meet the King. Sin's father was impatiently waiting for their arrival at the majestic royal palace, where a crucial gathering is set to take place. This meeting holds immense significance as it revolves around the dormant devils inhabiting the depths of hell.

Sin and Ira were left deep in thought, contemplating the deeper meaning behind the words that had been spoken. Sin couldn't help but speculate that the very reason heroes were summoned was somehow connected to this enigmatic concept. It seemed that a storm was brewing on the horizon, and it wouldn't be long before things took a turn for the chaotic and unpredictable.

Then he told Ira: "Well, let's not think too much about it. What's supposed to happen will happen."

These words made Ira double confused, however, she nodded as if she understood everything.
