Chapter 6 - Chapter-6

In this encounter, Sin soon grasped that the rabbit had shifted to a more serious demeanor, and an air of tension hung around them. As the rabbit leaped towards him, Sin swiftly attempted to activate his Kamui, but the rabbit's speed was so overwhelming that it reached him before he could execute the technique, delivering a powerful kick.

Fortuitously, Sin's wooden limb bore the brunt of the impact once more, although he was sent sprawling through the air. This time, however, the restoration process was notably slower, as he lacked the swiftness of high-speed regeneration. His wooden part gradually reverted to its original state.

Observing Sin's resilience and regenerative ability, the rabbit expressed a strange mixture of intrigue and appreciation, remarking, "You possess restoration capabilities too? Hmmm, you're a truly perilous individual. But I find myself drawn to perilous things."

Sin, not one to concede easily, concentrated on his right eye and endeavored to employ long-range Kamui. A swirling vortex of spatial distortion enveloped the rabbit, endeavoring to draw it into the portal. The rabbit swiftly comprehended the situation and swiftly darted to another location, evading the teleportation.

As blood trickled from his eyes, Sin's attempt to teleport the rabbit failed. Once more, the rabbit charged at him, leaving Sin pondering the proximity of his second life's end. However, instead of delivering a fatal blow, the rabbit lightly prodded Sin's head with its leg.

With an enigmatic farewell, the rabbit hovered briefly and shared its intentions, "It would be a shame not to witness your full potential. For that reason, I'm sparing your life. I shall venture to another dungeon, and I won't reveal my location to you. But remember, become stronger, or I will eliminate you."

The rabbit then disappeared from the scene, and Sin realized it had employed pure super speed rather than teleportation. As it finally faded from sight, Sin breathed a sigh of relief, having been under immense pressure throughout the encounter.

However, this harrowing encounter only fueled Sin's curiosity about this world. He was both amazed and intrigued by the existence of such formidable entities. Once his wooden limb had fully regenerated, he released his companions from the space-time, their lives and well-being preserved.

Upon his return to the group, Sin's companions were understandably bewildered and full of questions. They sought answers about the events that had transpired and the identity of the formidable entity they had encountered.

Sin urged them to refrain from further inquiries, stating, "Please, let's not delve any deeper into it. That creature is beyond anything we can comprehend as humans. However, we need not be alarmed; it seems to have lost interest in us."

Despite his reassuring words, Sin harbored no illusions about the future. He knew that this enigmatic entity might return one day, and he needed to rapidly bolster his strength to face that eventuality or risk becoming an easy target.

After a brief hour's respite, Sin resumed his hunt, dispatching an additional 140 rats to elevate his Force to 50 newtons. With their goal achieved, Sin and his team made their way out of the dungeon.

Yet, in a moment of self-reflection, Sin couldn't help but chuckle wryly at his own limitations. Back on Earth, he had possessed the potential to deliver a punch equivalent to nearly 5000 newtons, and though he hadn't quantified it, he knew he was capable of exerting a force over 100 times greater than his current abilities in this new world.

As Sin pondered his progress, he couldn't help but entertain the notion that, with the continued application of this leveling system, he might eventually be capable of delivering punches exceeding 5,000 newtons of force. The increase in his strength had noticeable side effects, including heightened speed and the ability to lift heavier objects, which was a testament to the all-encompassing benefits of his development.

Reflecting on his earlier encounters with the orcs, Sin realized that now he could have handled them without resorting to tricks, relying solely on his enhanced jab and punch techniques.

Upon returning to the guild with his team, they had successfully hunted over 350 rats. Surprisingly, the demand for rat teeth had surged due to a need for specific equipment, enabling them to sell their spoils at a higher price than expected. This illustrated a shifting trend among adventurers, who now preferred to focus their efforts on more challenging monsters, deeming rat hunting as a less efficient use of their time.

Sin's generous act of providing double payment and sharing his rat teeth earnings with his team members boosted their enthusiasm for the next day's dive into the dungeon. His benevolence made him all the more respected among his companions.

His servant, who had received tips, began to exhibit a more open attitude toward Sin and willingly shared valuable information with him. Despite Sin's outward demeanor, which often resembled a tsundere, both the adventurer and his servant recognized the goodness that resided deep within his heart.

Later, Sin encountered his mother once more. This time, her reaction was less severe than the previous day. She refrained from scolding him and, instead, simply left with her maidservant without asking him any questions, perhaps indicative of a developing understanding or acceptance between them.

Sin pondered the apparent change in his mother's behavior, musing, "Or, is she mad at me?"

The complexities of his family and personal life weighed heavily on his mind. He had never truly understood his (as Johan) mother's concerns or emotions, given that she had passed away when he was just six months old. His father had also departed from this world two years ago, leaving Sin to navigate life on his own.

His relentless pursuit of his career and self-centered nature had prevented him from forming romantic relationships or even maintaining friendships. He began to realize that he might have missed out on essential human connections and companionship, and the thought of it weighed on him.

Sin's past experiences had taught him the profound pain of loss, first when his beloved black shepherd dog passed away and then, more recently, when he mourned the loss of his father. These experiences had shaped him into the person he was today, influencing his reluctance to form deep connections and his aversion to pet ownership.

After some time of thought, he realized what SIn's mother was showing toward him. Sin began to sense a genuine concern emanating from his mother's seemingly disinterested demeanor. He felt a warmth in her gaze that he hadn't noticed before, lifting his spirits. His mood began to brighten, and the recent unsettling encounter with the formidable rabbit started to fade from his thoughts.

However, the mood took another twist when Sin noticed the presence of someone unfamiliar in the backyard of his family's residence, besides his mother and father. This woman, holding a baby, immediately triggered his memory. She was none other than Yuna Rangel, the wife of his late brother, carrying his niece – the daughter of his own sibling.

Sin couldn't resist the overwhelming cuteness of his niece and was eager to hold her in his arms. Yet, his sister-in-law appeared to resist, refusing to let him do so. Sin couldn't help but let out a wistful laugh, reminiscing about a regrettable incident in the recent past when he had unceremoniously thrown her daughter in a dustbin.
