Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Real World

In the real world, my name is Azrael Garcia. I'm one of the lucky few to be born into a rich family, a really rich family.

"Young master, you've been playing for the entire day. I'm sure you must be famished."

The head maid of the house, as she's the only maid, not only that she's the one who trained me in various fighting styles, and has been my caretaker ever since I was born, Mathilda Greyham, long brown hair, and dark brown colored eyes.

"You've brought me some food?"

"Yes, let me bring it inside."

She entered my room, carrying a tray, which she carefully set on the table. The plate before me presented a delectable arrangement - a serving of mashed potatoes, accompanied by a colorful medley of corn, carrots, and asparagus. However, the star of the meal was undeniably the perfectly cooked medium rare steak, enticingly placed as the centerpiece of the dish.

"As always, it's delicious. Any news about my siblings and deadbeat parents?"

"There is no noteworthy news, although, since you're playing World of Fantasy now, you should know that the children of the 6th and 7th eldest are guild masters of big guilds, one such is the Silver Feather Guild and Pandemonium Guild."

My family itself is big, my parents being busy as rabbits on heat gave birth to 12 children, me being the youngest considered a miracle for the age of my mother, but I'm just as old as my nieces and nephews if not a bit younger.

"You're also playing, right? Mathilda, how's the Dark King's Hand Guild going?"

"It is going smoothly. Despite playing the role of a villain, we're still getting a continuous stream of quests, and not many guilds dare approach us, as we're a guild with a moving fortress, and our members are kept secret."

Dark King's Hand Guild, a guild that's supposed to be named 'Dark King's Guild', I told Mathilda to make it when I started playing the game a few months ago. I was supposed to lead the guild, but because of my fumbles, Mathilda became the guild leader and thus the name Dark King's Hand.

Mathilda, despite her usual indifference and emotionless face, gazed at me with curiosity. I looked at her as I wiped my lips with a cloth.

"Ask away, Mathilda."

"Did something good happen, young master? Usually, when you log out of the game, you would sulk in the corner of the room."

I smirked, and I answered her honestly.

"I breached past level 10."

Her pupils widened in shock and she tried to keep her composure, breathing in and out.

"You broke the loop?"

She asked, holding back her excitement of an emotionless and indifferent face.

"Yes, but don't celebrate too early. I haven't done the Class Quest. If I complete that's when I truly break the loop."

"Understood. I shall do my utmost to support you at that time, but what's your Class Quest, if I may ask?"

I glanced back at my unfinished meal and I looked back up at her.

"I need to kill 1,000 heroes."

Mathilda was taken aback when she heard that number, 'the death of a thousand heroes would surely attract the attention of all the guilds in the server, as it'll change the game's direction entirely, she gave me a conflicted look.

"My class is a secret, but you'll know in time, but can you dig up the information about the goddess Kalda?"

"As you will, but young master please finish your meal before anything else."

"Yeah, yeah."

The reason why I played this game is that my family, full of greedy people trying to take over the entire market, from starting a restaurant to making their own law firm, now they set their sights on virtual reality, and if they are to take over it as well I might lose my position in this family, my arrogant siblings have always tried taking me down, but if I were to create a solid foothold in the game, then I could keep living the lazy life and still keep my place in the family.

"Mathilda, I'm going out for a walk."

"Understood, I'll wait for your return, young master."

I stepped outside my house and estate and the cold wind brushed past me, the smell of rain wafted in the air, and the hair on my arm stood on end because of the freezing temperature, this feeling, I missed it, the food I ate is beyond divine despite having ate that food over a hundred times, being an undead will rot my brain in the real life, so I should balance my in-game time and my time in the real world.

I was at peace embracing the sheer cold of basking in the moonlight, but I heard footsteps behind me, and when I looked back, I saw a young man dressed heavily to combat the cold, his annoying smirk plastered on his face, and annoying dark brown eyes looked down on me, his brown long hair reaches his back.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't our failure of an uncle."

"Lucky me, to see the pussy of the Garcia family."

My relationship with me, my parents, siblings, nephews, and nieces isn't on the best of terms, especially with this one, a player in the World of Fantasy, famously known for being the guild leader of Pandemonium, Cain Garcia.

"Hoh~? Talking back now?"

"Haha, you know you're on my turf, this whole street, mine, the tiles you stand on right now, is mine, now what the fuck do you want?"

I butted heads with him as a vein on my head showed, what I said is true, since I technically owned the entire town as my mother gave it to me as my 18th birthday gift, we didn't technically own this town, is just that we have enough power to overshadow the government.

"No worries, I'm not here to fight uncle, just seeing how the disappointment is holding up!"

The tension is increasing and as soon as he said that it started raining.
