The connection between Bella and Jessica grew even stronger as Jessica hastened the transfer of their lifespans, intertwining their fates more tightly.
"Bella!" Leon shouted, rushing toward her, only to be stopped by John, who held him back. Standing at a distance, John observed the scene unfolding before them, his face unreadable. Whatever Bella's intentions, he could only hope she knew what she was doing.
"What's going on?" Leon's voice quivered with anxiety, his heart pounding violently against his chest.
"Don't worry. She'll be fine… I think," John replied, though the uncertainty in his tone betrayed his words. Then, his expression shifted. "Wait—what are you doing here? Where are Ramona and Sebastian?"
Leon exhaled heavily. "We managed to save them. Surprisingly, the undead didn't regenerate—they disintegrated. It made everything easier. I don't know what you did, but—"
