Chapter 447 - Chapter 447: The First Battle Between the Dragon God and the Frost Giant God

"Solium, everything is ready now, just waiting for you to take the bait."

Garon muttered softly.

After some time.

The Frost Giant God, clad in divine heavy armor and wielding a giant axe, fully armed, left his divine kingdom under the gentle gaze of Auriel with great ambition.

Since this was his own initiative, he didn't inform the Storm Lord but swiftly descended to the Frozen Wasteland, intending to quickly settle matters with Garon.

As long as he could successfully take the Frozen Wasteland, even if it displeased the Storm Lord afterwards, he wouldn't face excessive blame.

Currently, the gods of the Dragon Pantheon remained inactive, staying peacefully in their divine kingdoms without venturing out.

If his opponent was only Garon, the Frost Giant God, who ranked among the top in intermediate divine power, was confident of swiftly defeating Garon, especially knowing that the latter was secretly injured.

Boom!

A meteor made of ice crystals descended from the sky, crashing to the ground with earth-shattering force, creating a series of depressions and causing surrounding glaciers to collapse and avalanches to occur.

Bathed in the fierce cold wind and blizzard, the Frost Giant God sensed the presence of the Dragon God within the ice fortress and immediately rode the wind and snow to approach swiftly.

Meanwhile, within the ice fortress, Garon opened his platinum dragon eyes.

"Finally here."

Intermediate divine power at full strength is not to be underestimated.

Almost the moment Garon sensed the arrival of the Frost Giant God, a vast and powerful divine force descended near the ice fortress. Enveloped by the mighty divine aura, the Frost Giant God arrived instantly.

In the already frigid Frozen Wasteland, the temperature dropped even further.

Around the Frost Giant God's towering, mountain-like body, ice crystals seemed to appear in the air, transforming the area into an ice crystal wasteland.

Upon arriving at the ice fortress, Solium's expression changed slightly. Seeing the current state of the fortress, his rugged giant face immediately turned grim, and the surrounding wind and snow became even more violent and frigid due to his mood.

This wasn't Solium's first visit to the Frozen Wasteland.

Because of his enmity with Koschei, who, despite being of the same race, was an enemy due to differing beliefs, Solium had often come to the Frozen Wasteland to trouble Koschei and was familiar with the ice fortress.

Therefore, the Frost Giant God was well aware of the surroundings of the ice fortress.

In his memory, there should be numerous Frost Giant tribes residing around the ice fortress, but now, not a single Frost Giant was in sight.

Squinting his eyes slightly, the Frost Giant God looked towards the ice fortress.

His pair of ice-blue eyes seemed to pierce through the layers of walls, directly meeting the gaze of the Eternal and Time Dragon inside, filled with silent fury and a storm of emotions.

Undoubtedly.

The Dragon God, who had arrived at the Frozen Wasteland earlier, had wiped out the Frost Giant tribes that originally lived here.

To Solium, the Frost Giants who believed in Koschei were actually unimportant and even carried a sense of aversion. As the Frost Giant God, Solium felt that these people should have worshipped him but chose to follow Koschei instead, thus he didn't value them.

However, now that Koschei was dead.

With the god's death, the Frost Giants here lost their faith's anchor, and Solium had hoped to recruit them to expand his own faith.

But now, it seemed unnecessary.

Regardless, these Frost Giants were still Solium's people. Realizing his people had been cleansed by Garon, anger surged in his eyes.

"Huh?"

"Frost Giant God Solium, what brings you to my domain?"

Garon's calm voice echoed from within the ice fortress, reaching the Frost Giant God's ears.

The Frost Giant God's expression was cold and stiff, his voice like the roaring blizzard of the extreme cold, echoing across the Frozen Wasteland, "Eternal and Time Dragon, Garon Aurelian."

"As a deity, you laid hands on my people. Don't you feel it undermines your divine prestige?"

To have cleared out the Frost Giant tribes so swiftly, Solium knew Garon must have personally taken action. Otherwise, the Frost Giants here would have held out for a while.

"Hypocrisy, the world knows that dragons and giants are mortal enemies. Don't you, as a giant deity, know this?"

"I enjoy personally sending enemies on their way. It's their honor to die under my divine might."

Garon spoke disdainfully, provoking Solium.

If the roles were reversed, the Frost Giant God would have killed any obstructive dragons without hesitation.

The Frost Giant God's face remained cold as he said slowly, "The first time I noticed you, I should have killed you in the northern ice plains of the Noah Continent before you grew."

"Remember, you live today because of my mercy."

Hearing this, Garon's expression changed slightly, his mind racing to identify a subordinate.

Dark Frost Giant, Barton.

An early defeated Giant Lord, a fervent believer in the Frost Giant God, who wielded the hero weapon rumored to be a gift from the Frost Giant God, the Wrath of Winter.

Garon closely examined the giant axe in the Frost Giant God's hand.

Its entirety was cold white, exuding endless chill, with spikes of ice and a massive, intimidating blade glinting coldly. The Frost Giant God's armor left only his head exposed, the rest tightly covered.

It looked very much like the Wrath of Winter.

Or rather, the Frost Giant God's weapon was the true Wrath of Winter, while Barton's was a poor imitation.

"Oh? So you noticed me back then."

"Interesting, you didn't say a word when your believer was enslaved by me?"

"I was ready to face your divine avatar then. Unfortunately, you didn't come, and I was disappointed for a while."

Garon said calmly.

"A newly legendary dragon wasn't worth my avatar's descent."

The Frost Giant God said expressionlessly.

When Barton's soul was imprisoned, Solium sensed his call but, as a god, couldn't respond to every believer's plea. At the time, it didn't seem necessary.

To be honest, he somewhat regretted it.

Had he known Garon would grow to this extent, he would have destroyed the Noah Continent to bury Garon with a prime material world.

"Such is the wonder of fate."

"If you had descended then and killed me, we wouldn't be meeting today, would we?"

As if seeing through the hint of regret under the Frost Giant God's stiff face, Garon said.

"So, are you here to reminisce? State your purpose."

Garon said unhurriedly.

The opponent was already ensnared without realizing it.

"This is not your territory. Koschei was part of the Giant Pantheon and a fellow Frost Giant."

"After his death, the Frozen Wasteland belongs to me."

Pausing, the Frost Giant God clenched his fist, his tone icy, "Leave my domain, and I won't pursue your crimes here."

"Hahaha."

A dragon's laughter echoed from the fortress, shaking nearby ice mountains, causing snow to roll continuously.

"Ridiculous."

"Victory grants ownership; the defeated eat dust."

"Koschei is my defeated foe. His domain naturally becomes mine."

"Solium, go back to where you came from."

"Or do you want me to personally drive you away?"

The Frost Giant God fell silent, then mocked, "Such arrogance. Don't think I don't know. You've lost your greatest support. Now you're just an ordinary, newly ascended intermediate deity, unfit to boast before me."

At this point, the Frost Giant God knew Garon was determined not to yield the Frozen Wasteland.

As he spoke, the ice crystal armor covering his body extended upwards, enveloping his head, even covering his eyes with crystalline visors.

Crack crack.

The ice crystal armor moved like a living thing, extending and forming fierce blades at his elbows, knees, and wrists.

The Frost Giant God now looked like a living weapon.

"Indeed, the true Wrath of Winter."

Seeing the fully armored opponent, Garon thought silently.

"Winter!"

Raising the Wrath of Winter axe, the Frost Giant God roared.

Buzzing, countless magical runes lit up, imprinting on the ice fortress's surroundings, forming numerous nested circular arrays around the entire fortress.

Next, colossal sharp ice spikes erupted from the ground.

Simultaneously, with a dragon's roar, the entire ice fortress seemed to be struck by a tremendous force, instantly shattering into dust.

Bathed in boundless divine light, the revealed dragon god's form seemed infinitely majestic, awe-inspiring.

With a sweep of his wings, a burst of extraordinary divine power erupted.

The previously enormous and fierce ice spikes stopped abruptly, crumbling to dust as if eroded by endless ages.

The two supporting ice mountains were partly eroded away in silence.

Time Authority: The Baptism of Eternal Ages.

"Such folly."

The Frost Giant God sneered.

Ice Authority: Eternal Ice!

Colossal ice spikes grew from the arrays again, their surfaces gleaming with a divine luster, exuding an indestructible, eternal presence.

Garon's authority power, the Baptism of Eternal Ages, was similar to his body's Time Devourer Breath.

This time, under the Baptism of Eternal Ages, the ice spikes were affected but didn't disintegrate completely.

Cracks appeared, but the ice spikes made of Eternal Ice remained intact.

"If it were my body, and at the same intermediate divine level, I wouldn't be able to block such an attack."

Garon sighed.

Just from the initial clash, he sensed the gap between himself and the Frost Giant God.

The Frost Giant God, an intermediate deity, level 14 godhood, wielding authorities of Ice, Snow, Wind, Magic, Strength, Cold, Giants.

The Eternal and Time Dragon, an intermediate deity, level 11 godhood, wielding authorities of Time, Fate, Dragon Magic Web, Dragons.

Compared like this, Garon was indeed inferior to the Frost Giant God.

Although the authorities of Time and Fate were mystical, they were not as useful in combat.

Facing the incoming attacks from all directions, Garon opened his mouth.

A simple, ancient book, seemingly weathered by endless ages, floated beside Garon, its pages turning to reveal chaotic, unknown scripts.

The Chronicle of Time, originally belonging to the Elven Pantheon's God of Fate and History.

After fully replacing this deity, the Chronicle of Time naturally became Garon's artifact.

The Frost Giant God glanced at the Chronicle of Time, the chaotic scripts causing his mind to reel. He steadied his heart and refocused on attacking Garon.

Simultaneously, lines of script flew from the book, rippling the Time Stream and drawing a branch.

Time Authority: Epochal Barrier.

An invisible, intangible barrier formed, greatly enhanced by the Chronicle of Time, its effect multiplied.

Epochal Barrier, originally Garon's own divine skill, was now as effective as when used by his true form.

Boom boom boom!

Countless ice spikes struck Garon simultaneously, engulfing his form, appearing like a spiked asteroid in the Frozen Wasteland's sky.

However, the Frost Giant God didn't show joy.

He frowned, noticing the Eternal and Time Dragon had disappeared after withstanding the first wave of attacks.

Fate Authority: Fate Obscuration.

Behind the Frost Giant God, the silver dragon silently appeared, gripping a spear made of primitive magic runes, its surface layered with dragon scales, the tip like a dragon's tooth.

Dragon Magic Web Authority: Dragon Spear.

Under Fate Obscuration, the Dragon Spear moved silently towards the Frost Giant God's head.

Unfortunately, just as it was about to strike, the Frost Giant God suddenly moved, twisting away from the spear while swinging the Wrath of Winter axe at Garon's neck.

Garon had to retreat, vanishing into the Fate Obscuration.

"The wind and snow-covered land cannot hide from my eyes."

The Frost Giant God grinned, revealing white teeth.

He exhaled deeply, moving with divine power.
