Chapter 103 - Chapter 103: Luna's Small Request

When the Red Flame Staff appeared, the fire elements dispersed in the air gathered towards it.

The temperature inside the ice crystal palace naturally rose a bit, and the staff's tip, resembling liquid flame, shone brilliantly.

Luna's gaze was immediately drawn to it, and after just two seconds of observation, she turned her attention to Garon, waiting for him to explain his intentions.

Clearly, Garon wouldn't have taken out the Red Flame Staff for no reason.

Beside them, Nikolina, unaware of the secrets contained within the Red Flame Staff, glanced at it admiringly and said, "Where did you get this staff? It looks of high quality."

After speaking, she added somewhat regretfully, "It's a pity it's fire-attributed."

As a Crystal Dragon belonging to the wind element and accustomed to living in cold regions, she naturally had little interest in fire-attributed objects.

"It's a high-ranking caster's staff," Garon replied, but his gaze stayed fixed on Luna.

This behavior made Nikolina pout slightly in displeasure, but after glancing at the radiant, elegant, and beautiful Luna, she couldn't help but retract her gaze in disappointment.

"Molton's staff," Luna murmured softly.

She raised her head, gazing at Garon, "Did you come to see me because of the Red Flame Staff?"

Though it was a question, her tone carried a note of certainty.

Garon nodded and said, "While using the Red Flame Staff, I felt a connection to somewhere in the south."

"I want to know what this connection signifies."

He looked earnestly at Luna, their eyes meeting, his gaze deep and focused, his voice low and profound, "I hope you can help me understand."

Under Garon's intense scrutiny, Luna felt her heartbeat accelerate slightly.

She hesitated for a few seconds, then sighed softly and relented, "Alright, since the Red Flame Staff now belongs to you and you're so keen to know, I won't keep it hidden any longer."

Garon's face lit up with joy, assuming a posture of eager attention.

However, Luna did not divulge the information directly. She pondered for a few seconds and said hesitantly, "But before I tell you, I want you to agree to a condition."

Garon thought it over and said, "State your condition first, and then I'll consider whether to agree."

If the request was too demanding, he would rather fly south himself, following the staff's connection to find the destination and discover what it entailed.

Nevertheless, knowing in advance was always better.

Garon didn't want to go to all that trouble only to find something of no value to him.

Luna smiled faintly, a dimple appearing on her cheek, "Don't worry, it won't be difficult for you."

She glanced at Nikolina, "I asked Nikolina here mainly to help teach those two children."

"Lilith has great talent in the schools of Enchantment and Hexes."

"She can pursue both paths. I know a bit about Hexes, and Nikolina is skilled in Enchantment, so we can teach Lilith up to a certain stage."

Nikolina chimed in, "Lilith is really smart, her talent in Enchantment is much stronger than mine."

Her expression was one of genuine admiration, clearly heartfelt praise.

Lilith... Garon recalled the little girl who fainted just from one glance at him.

Pale and delicate, she indeed looked very appetizing.

Lilith, also blond and fair-skinned, bore a slight resemblance to Luna. If not for Garon sensing no familial essence between them, he would have thought Lilith was Luna's child.

However, because Lilith was so timid, having fainted straight away, Garon had no deep impression of her.

Amos, younger than Lilith but much braver than his sister, was clearer in Garon's memory.

At that moment, Garon's gaze shifted slightly, already grasping Luna's request.

She had only mentioned teaching Lilith sufficiently, but since she was asking for Garon's help, the issue clearly wasn't with the little girl.

"Do you mean Amos?"

Luna nodded gently, "This child, like his grandfather, loves Transmutation magic and shows exceptional talent in it."

"Though not as gifted as his sister in Hexes and Enchantment, his talent is still considerable."

"The problem now is, I don't know much about Transmutation magic, and the content in Molton's notes is somewhat complex; he can't learn it."

Listening to Luna, Garon remained silent.

Molton's notes were like a professor's research notes given to a middle schooler; it would be strange if he could understand them.

Garon, with his strong ability to grasp knowledge, had learned up to the sixth circle of magic before getting stuck due to a lack of foundational knowledge, which was

 incredible in itself.

Meanwhile, Luna continued, "I remember you once cast a Fireball spell from the Transmutation school with ease, suggesting you have some expertise in Transmutation magic."

"So, if you have some free time, I hope you can teach some Transmutation magic to Amos."

Garon shook his head, "It's not that I don't want to help you, but I'm powerless in this matter."

Luna looked puzzled, and Garon patiently explained, "My understanding of Transmutation magic also comes from Molton's notes. In Amos's case, I can't teach him."

He paused, then added, "Even I have similar difficulties, so I'm planning to go south soon to acquire some basic knowledge about magic."

After Garon finished speaking, Luna and Nikolina exchanged a surprised glance.

Garon watched their small gestures, feeling a bit puzzled.

Nikolina blinked her moist eyes and said, "Your timing is perfect; Luna was just planning to go south, and I'm here to take care of the kids during that time."

Luna looked at Garon with a gentle smile, "You haven't left the far northern ice plains before, right? I'm quite familiar with humans; you can travel with me."

Garon paused, surprised that Luna was also heading south soon.

However, he had no intention of traveling with Luna.

Garon knew well that with Luna's kind nature, traveling with her would only hinder him from acting on his own impulses.

"No need, I prefer to travel alone."

Luna smiled slightly, "That's probably for the best, to avoid any disagreements."

She understood that she and Garon were not the same kind of dragon.

"Here's what we'll do: once you've acquired enough foundational knowledge, occasionally visit me when you have free time, or I can bring Amos to your territory."

"You don't need to trouble yourself with anything else; just spend some time teaching Amos some Transmutation magic."

"As a reward, I'll tell you the secrets of the Red Flame Staff, and I'll also keep an eye out for books on magic during my trip to the south, and I'll bring them back for you."

Garon was not fond of taking care of people, but Luna's request was minimal, requiring no care for Amos.

Rather than a demand, it was more of a favor, dependent on Garon's mood.

Luna's words conveyed no obligation for Garon to do anything specific.

Teaching someone else magic is also a good way to test one's own learning outcomes, so it wasn't a bad deal.

After a moment of contemplation, Garon nodded in agreement, "Alright, but when you look for magic books, don't limit yourself to just Transmutation; I'm interested in spells from all schools."
