Chapter 74 - Chapter 74: Frenzy

Whoosh! A gust of wind rushed forward.

The tall leader of the heavy armored knights, upon realizing that Garon's target was Copernicus, immediately abandoned the young dragon and charged towards them at a speed like the wind.

Rorschach grabbed Copernicus, and as the Exploding Fireball detonated, unleashing both a wave of heat and flames, he forcefully threw Copernicus out of the range of the fireball's attack.

He himself was engulfed by the flames.

Seeing this unfold, Garon didn't hesitate to cast Accelerated Fireballs, disregarding the drain on his magical energy, as seemingly harmless little fireballs flew towards the sea of flames created by the Exploding Fireball.

During this time, other spellcasters attacked Garon, attempting to aid their own powerful figures.

However, lower-tier spells that hit Garon, regardless of type, only left scratches on his dragon scales and could not even create cracks.

The full property magic immunity of the Time Dragon displayed its formidable effects for the first time.

A few mid-tier spells were effortlessly dodged by Garon using extreme acceleration, narrowly and perfectly avoiding them.

Boom! Boom! Boom! The ground trembled under a series of explosions, the skyward snow twisted by the rising heat, and the silvery world turned a blazing red under the illumination of the flames.

At the same time, the flames twisted as if a fierce beast was about to break free.

Boom! The flames were cleaved apart by the fierce wind from Rorschach's magical greatsword, shifting to both sides and forming a passage. Rorschach, his body ablaze, leapt out from it.

His high-level rune-etched heavy armor, bestowed by the Grand Duke of Thorns, was now covered in red-hot marks, steaming heavily in the cold air.

The runes etched on it had completely dimmed.

Rorschach lifted his head, ripped off his metal helmet, then threw off his now defenseless rune armor onto the scorched ground.

His indifferent gaze met Garon's for a moment. Holding his magical greatsword at an angle, his body, like cast iron and steel, surged with power as he stepped forward to attack Garon.

This figure, who had once made Garon feel threatened and wary, slightly stunned him after revealing his true face.

He was somewhat ugly, with a rough face, dark skin, a broad nose, and not a single hair on his head, looking like a villain capable of bullying both men and women. However, the indifference and ferocity in his eyes were hard to ignore.

As he charged at Garon, a bloody radiance surfaced on Rorschach's skin, and his eyes filled with an uncontrollable rage while he emitted low growls.

After undergoing some peculiar changes, his running speed surged, as did his aura.

Garon recognized Rorschach's condition.

It was famously known as Frenzy.

Beings in a frenzy can, for a short time, receive massive boosts in physical constitution, strength, speed, reaction, and resistance. The cost is a loss of rationality, and after the frenzy wears off, the body falls into a severe state of weakness.

"This physique and appearance don't seem like a normal human; there might be orc or barbarian blood in him," Garon speculated, frowning.

He fired several Accelerated Fireballs, which Rorschach dodged using an ugly but effective instinctual method, slightly slowing his pace.

Seeing his opponent's resolute intention to engage him directly, Garon decided to confront him head-on.

Warriors have simpler abilities compared to spellcasters of the same level, who use varied techniques, making them easier to handle.

On the other side of the battlefield, with Rorschach no longer restraining her, the young dragon quickly regained her dominance, wreaking havoc among the human army. With Garon's kin joining the fray, the heavy armored knights struggled to reform their ranks, allowing the young dragon to slaughter widely.

As a disgrace among true dragons, the young dragon remained an exceedingly troublesome adversary.

Copernicus, saved by Rorschach and seriously injured, began coordinating spellcasters to help restrain the young dragon again.

An unchallenged adult dragon's destructive power was too great to ignore.

Meanwhile, before Garon could engage Rorschach directly, the fierce frost tiger, seeing Rorschach's menacing approach towards Garon, suddenly erupted with an angry roar and leaped rapidly across the chaotic battlefield, pouncing towards Rorschach from the side.

The predatory speed of this big cat was lightning-fast, catching Rorschach off-guard and pinning him to the ground.

The tiger's claws, sharp as steel knives, pressed against Rorschach, ready to rip open his torso.

But Rorschach, in his frenzied state, was not an easy target. A deep growl erupted from his towering human body, and with explosive strength, he pushed the tiger's paw away inch by inch amid its reluctant roars.

Rorschach rolled to avoid another swipe of the tiger's claw. His magical greatsword glowed sharply, slicing upward towards the throat of the fierce frost tiger.

Hiss!

The frost tiger agilely jumped back, avoiding a fatal blow. A clean cut appeared on its neck, the pain causing it to show a fierce expression. If Rorschach had been of equal size, that strike could have decapitated the tiger. Unfortunately, he was not, and the tiger sustained only a superficial wound.

Undeterred, the injured frost tiger lunged again, unwilling to show weakness. Rorschach, unable to ignore the frost tiger, was forced to set aside his intent to confront Garon and engaged in a fierce battle with the beast.

Man and tiger clashed fiercely.

Garon, seeing the frost tiger's strong desire to fight and its entanglement with Rorschach, and not wanting to accidentally harm it, used Accelerated Fireball and Exploding Fireball spells, combined with some spell scrolls, to precisely target the enemy spellcasters, quickly reducing their numbers.

His spells, enhanced with acceleration, caught most enemies off-guard.

As the number of spellcasters in the human army dwindled, they struggled to effectively defend against the relentless ice spells from the northern ice spirits, leading to increased casualties among the heavy armored knights.

Copernicus, in desperation and despite worsening his injuries, cast spells to counter both the young dragon and the northern ice spirits, overwhelmed by the situation.

But this dire situation was primarily due to the injuries Copernicus had sustained from Garon, and now he had to bear the bitter consequences of his condition.

The scales of victory were tipping in Garon's favor.

He could still afford to observe the ongoing battle between the frost tiger and Rorschach.

A feral beast and a warrior in a state of frenzy made for an exceptionally wild fight.

Few dared to approach them, as anyone who did was either torn to pieces or sliced apart.

Rorschach's magical greatsword cut through the blizzard, wave after wave, aiming at the frost tiger, which countered with its claws. The sword cut through scales and flesh, leaving deep, almost bone-deep wounds.

The tiger, enraged by its injuries, attacked with even greater ferocity but struggled to land effective hits on the nimble Rorschach and couldn't withstand his assaults. Within just two minutes, the tiger was severely wounded and soaked in blood, while Rorschach sustained hardly any injuries.

Continuing to fight Rorschach could prove fatal for the frost tiger.

Seeing his top lieutenant faltering, Garon could no longer remain indifferent.

Dragon might erupted, sweeping over both Rorschach and the frost tiger. The mentally frenzied Rorschach was barely affected, merely turning his head with a wild glare to lock onto Garon once again.

Feeling the will contained within Garon's dragon might, the frost tiger roared reluctantly at Rorschach before leaping away, mimicking Garon's tactics to go after the spellcasters.

Although not as effective as Garon, the frost tiger still caused significant trouble. It acted like an assassin, striking fear in the enemy spellcasters, who had to divert considerable attention to guard against its attacks.
