Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: Fierce Battle

Boom! An invisible shockwave erupted from the collision point of the icy and fiery dragon breaths, spreading in all directions and pressing into the ice, creating faint, visible cracks.

Garon was astonished as he watched the opponent unleash a fiery dragon breath.

He knew the effects of magic were miraculous, but seeing the spell that granted him the dragon's breath firsthand still shook him deeply.

Not far away, Uga Skulbreaker watched the dual-headed ogre and Garon's breath collide, his face changing colors from red to blue in tension.

He clearly saw that although the fiery dragon breath was unexpectedly fierce, it wasn't as powerful as a true dragon's breath, being suppressed by the frost breath and slowly pushed back, getting closer to the dual-headed ogre on the left.

"Great Dragon Lord, please slay Sela Skulbreaker."

"Uga believes in your strength."

Uga Skulbreaker silently prayed for Garon in his heart.

After witnessing the leader's power, he abandoned any hope of taking the leader's position, relying only on Garon for a chance.

Meanwhile, after a few seconds, Garon's frost breath was about to engulf the dual-headed ogre. As the smaller head continued to breathe fire in resistance, the larger head was also busy.

It continuously chanted complex spells, using the time to complete another spell.

**Blink**

With a flash, a bright magical light burst from the body of the dual-headed ogre. Just before being swallowed by the frost breath, it teleported to a position slightly above Garon. Garon frowned, raised his head, and his breath of cold wind and ice crystals swept towards the dual-headed ogre.

But the ogre flipped in the air, dodging the obviously slow breath. At the same time, its black tentacles stretched and lengthened, grabbing towards Garon's head like a giant spider with four legs.

In close combat, the dragon breath was ineffective, so Garon stopped wasting his magical power and closed his mouth.

His expression was peculiar.

With his thick hind limbs and tail supporting his body, Garon suddenly stood upright, his claws creating a whistling wind, sharp as blades, slicing towards the dual-headed ogre in mid-air.

This whole process was as smooth as flowing water, the movements incredibly agile, as if operating in a completely different time flow from the dual-headed ogre.

With three times the speed, Garon was not afraid of close combat.

Boom! The extremely fast claw, specifically avoiding contact with the black tentacles, harshly landed on the ogre's waist, its powerful dragon muscles sending the body, taller than Garon, flying away.

Had it not been for the dual-headed ogre reacting at the last moment, shielding its vital points with black tentacles, Garon's strike could have been fatal.

Even so, Garon's sharp claws left four huge, gaping wounds on the ogre's body, exposing its steaming internal organs.

However, to Garon's amazement, as the dual-headed ogre flew back injured, the black mist around its body frantically writhed, intertwining like living threads, rapidly stitching the terrible wounds.

This incredibly fast regenerative ability was probably one of the effects of the divine magic it had just cast.

Thinking to strike while the iron was hot, Garon, although shocked for a moment, soon leaped forward without hesitation. His dragon wings unfurled, carrying an imposing momentum as he smashed towards the dual-headed ogre.

Swish! The dual-headed ogre blinked, disappearing from its spot.

Garon heavily landed on the ice, breaking through it with his full force and raising a waterfall-like spray of water.

When Garon surfaced and saw the dual-headed ogre, now fully healed, he felt a bit of trouble brewing.

He had realized it.

This creature's two heads had a clear division of labor: one controlled the body and battled Garon, bearing pain, dizziness, and other adverse effects, while the other, undistracted and utterly focused, continuously cast spells, acting as a combination of a warrior and a mage.

But these were minor issues; the most troublesome was the eerie and evil-feeling divine magic.

And the dual-headed ogre was incredibly shocked; it had thought that defeating a young-stage white dragon like Garon would be easy, but Garon's unbelievably fast speed almost made it doubt its own eyes.

Is this still a white dragon?

Where is there such a dragon, swift as the wind, flying with such speed?

It kept casting spells, and with the divine magic also putting a strain on its body and mind, it couldn't continue fighting for long. Comparing stamina and magical power with a dragon was undoubtedly suicidal.

Realizing this, the two heads of the dual-headed ogre exchanged a look, both showing a determined expression.

Garon saw this and stiffened internally, knowing that the dual-headed ogre might be about to unleash

 a powerful move.

He also faintly felt that despite appearing to hold its own, it couldn't last much longer in its current state.

"Creator of all things, great and exalted Sun God above, please bless your follower to defeat the evil dragon and offer this as a sacrifice to you."

After a heartfelt prayer, the larger head of the dual-headed ogre closed its eyes, eliminated all distractions, and focused solely on chanting the spell, casting its most powerful magic.

Meanwhile, the smaller head controlled the body, tense and ready, watching Garon closely.

As the solemn chanting continued, elements began to gather in the air, creating a slight numbing sensation. Uga Skulbreaker touched his sparse hair, finding it had eerily stood on end.

Garon sensed the unrest in the lightning elements and immediately moved, not wanting to give the foe a chance to cast its spell.

Under the glossy scales, his muscles tensed instantly.

Garon, moving with the agility of a large cat and accelerating with his wings, closed the tens of meters in an instant. His imposing presence from the unfurled dragon wings caused the dual-headed ogre's body to hesitate slightly, even pausing its chanting for a moment.

Crack!

In the midst of a piercing airflow, Garon's unforgiving claws fully extended, grasping towards the larger head of the dual-headed ogre.

Completely focused on casting a powerful spell, the larger head could no longer use blink, but the smaller head, unwilling to give in, fought back against Garon.

Though it could only vaguely catch Garon's movements, if it focused on defense alone, it could just manage.

Its thick arms rose to block before Garon's dragon claws.

Thump, thump, thump.

In a series of dull impacts, Garon drove the dual-headed ogre back repeatedly, its arms splattering with blood, revealing the white bones beneath.

Under Garon's relentless assault at triple speed, the dual-headed ogre appeared extremely disheveled.

In terms of size, the dual-headed ogre was three meters tall with a robust, muscular build, covered in living muscle and thick fat, while Garon stood about 1.6 meters at the shoulder, making them resemble the difference between a human and a Siberian tiger.

But it wasn't entirely without the ability to fight back.

Its four black tentacles, like four slick, black snakes, each eye now fully focused on Garon, made him shiver, wary of being touched by them.
