Niles shook his head. "No need. After I checked his condition, there was no problem with him."
"Are you serious?" Iris doubts his answer.
"Yes, he's asleep. You don't have to worry."
Iris found it strange that Eric had suddenly fallen asleep, as he had never done that before.
"Niles, can you read his mind?"
"Of course I can," Niles answered while raising his eyebrows in confusion at Iris's question. "You can't read his thoughts?"
Iris was stunned. She didn't answer him, but again, she tried to read Eric's mind. What she found out shocked her.
'This is so damn weird!!' Iris can't help but curse because now, in just one try, she instantly hears Eric's thoughts. Unlike before, she could only hear nothing there, like something shielding his mind. She tried to look deeper into his mind, and another wave of shock hit her.
