"Xavier, how long did I sleep?" Iris asked, afraid she might have been in a coma.
She didn't feel any pain in her body. It was as if the incident in the forest had never happened.
Xavier smoothed her hair, which covered part of her face, and gently rubbed her fair, smooth skin with his thumb. Feeling her once more made him feel like the luckiest man on earth. This little girl, how could she stir his heart like this?
He gently smiled at her before saying, "Three days?"
Iris suddenly got up and sat facing Xavier.
"I-Impossible. If it's only been three days, how can I recover so quickly—" Her voice faded as she peered at her body from the neckline of her nightgown. She gasped in surprise, looking at how smooth her skin was.
"This? How could this happen? I don't even have a scar on my skin." She looked at Xavier with a confused gaze.
However, a second later, something crossed her mind when she realized something.
