Suddenly, Gavriel's voice was heard from behind. She immediately looked back, seeing Gavriel leaning against the wall.
"Yes. Please give me a few minutes. I have to wait for Lucian. There is something I want to ask him," Iris said.
"There's no need to wait for him. He's already taken these two souls. It's a waste of time waiting for him. He'll never come back here again—"
"WHAT! When? How could I not see him?" Iris was stunned. She didn't feel anyone's presence in this room at all.
She looked towards the bed, observing the lifeless bodies of Dudley and Ruby, but she couldn't say if their souls were still with them or if they had indeed been taken.
"Did you forget what I told you before? If Lucian wanted, he would show himself. And it looks like he didn't intend to meet you now," Gavriel explained patiently.
"I remember," Iris responded with a gloomy tone.
Gavriel couldn't do much to respond to her at this moment.
