Xavier gazed at Iris, who remained silent beside him. He saw her face slowly turning gloomy as she looked at the distant forest.
He followed her line of sight, curious about what had suddenly put her in a bad mood. However, he saw nothing but an endless forest covered in white snow.
'Did she see something I can't see?' Xavier was stunned just thinking about it. He turned his head to look at her once more.
"Iris, why do you look upset? Is something bothering you now?" He couldn't help but ask. And, when his gaze met her worried eyes. It made him even more convinced she was in a bad mood.
Xavier felt frustrated because he couldn't read what was on her mind, what she was thinking. Only with her, he feels powerless, like now.
