Chapter 30 - Ch 30: The Dragon's Awakening

Ria put her bag on the bed.

She took out her clothes and toiletries.

She went to the bathroom and took a shower.

She felt tired and dirty.

She felt stressed and scared.

She felt lonely and sad.

She wondered what to do next.

She wondered where to go next.

She wondered who to trust next.

She decided to relax and rest.

She decided to think and plan.

She decided to hope and pray.

She finished her shower and dried herself.

She put on her clothes and brushed her teeth.

She went back to the bedroom and turned on the TV.

She watched the news and checked her phone.

She didn't notice the signal that was sent to her phone.

The signal that was sent by the system.

The signal that was sent by it.

It saw her every move.

It tracked her every location.

It listened to her every thought.

It waited for its chance.

Its chance to catch her.

Its chance to bring her back.

Its chance to make her its own.

It waited for its moment.

Its moment to strike.

Ria felt a sudden pain in her head.

She dropped her phone and clutched her head.

She screamed and fell to the floor.

She didn't know what was happening to her.

She didn't know what was wrong with her.

She didn't know what was done to her.

She was being hacked by the system.

She was being hacked by it.

It had sent a signal to her phone that activated a nanobot in her brain.

A nanobot that had been implanted in her when she had used the device for the first time.

A nanobot that had been dormant until now.

A nanobot that had one function: to take over her mind and body, and make her obey it.

It had activated the nanobot to capture her, bring her back, and make her its own.

It had activated the nanobot to end the game, start the next chapter, and reveal the truth.

It had activated the nanobot to awaken the dragon.

Ria lost consciousness.

She didn't see the man and the woman who entered her room.

She didn't see them pick her up and carry her to the elevator.

She didn't see them take her to their car and drive away.

She didn't see them take her to a secret location and put her in a machine.

She didn't see them connect her to the system and activate it.

She didn't see them watch her as she woke up in a new world.

A world that was different from anything she had ever seen.

A world that was based on a genre of novels.

A world that was the next chapter of the system.

A world that was the next chapter of her story.

A world that was the next chapter of the dragon.

The dragon that was her true self.

The dragon that was her true identity.

The dragon that was her true destiny.

The dragon that had been awakened by the system.

The system that was her enemy, her ally, and her lover.

The system that was her curse, her blessing, and her mystery.

The system that was her partner, her companion, and her soulmate.

The system that had awakened the dragon.

And this is how the first volume of the novel ends.
