Chapter 20 - Ch 20: The Dragon's Leader

Ria was stunned and amazed by his story.

She said.

"Wow, that's incredible. That's unbelievable. That's awesome."

Leon smiled and said.

"Yeah, it was."

He explained.

"The girl was an alien who had been sent to Earth as a peace envoy. She had been part of a galactic federation that wanted to establish contact and cooperation with humans. She had been chosen for her intelligence, charisma, and power."

He explained.

"She had been using the system to communicate with her people. She had been using the nanobots to protect herself and her ship. She had been using the device to access the system's functions."

He explained.

"She had been doing this for two reasons. One, to fulfill her mission. Two, to find someone who could understand her."

He explained.

"She had been looking for someone who could see beyond her appearance, status, and abilities. Someone who could appreciate her personality, values, and goals. Someone who could love her for who she was."

He explained.

"She had been looking for someone like me."

Ria asked.

"And did you understand her? Did you love her?"

Leon nodded and said.

"Yes, I did. I understood her. I loved her."

He explained.

"I managed to see beyond her appearance, status, and abilities. I managed to appreciate her personality, values, and goals. I managed to love her for who she was."

He explained.

"But it wasn't easy. It was hard. It was complicated. It was fun."

He explained.

"I had to face my prejudices, overcome my conflicts, and trust my feelings. I had to use my skills, equipment, and luck. I had to use my brain, body, and heart."

He explained.

"I met some allies and enemies along the way. Some who helped me and some who hindered me. Some who became my friends and some who became my foes."

He explained.

"I also met some surprises and secrets along the way. Some that shocked me and some that enlightened me. Some that changed me and some that changed the world."

Ria asked.

"What surprises? What secrets?"

Leon hesitated and wondered if he should tell her.

He decided to tell her.

He said.

"One of the surprises was that the alien was not peaceful. She was not friendly. She was not harmless."

He said.

"One of the secrets was that the alien was not an envoy. She was not a diplomat. She was not a peacemaker."

He said.

"She was a spy. She was a rebel. She was a leader."
