1 Month later
We still reside in Sunosuperu, Kahiro and i started a part time job so we can live and buy the necessary, while Keya is doing the housework for us. This month passed by rather quickly, we were forced to adapt to this world and try to move on, for now at least. Nothing changed on that matter through the last month, we tried to find some clues as to how we traveled to Ashora but we found nothing. The voice that used to whisper to me also stopped, its like we are kind of stuck right now.
"Good morning Keya, Good morning Kahiro"
"Good morning Senya" Kahiro and Keya replied
"I am leaving for work guys see you later."
"So as I said me and Kahiro actually started working, I work in a stall selling vegetables while Kahiro being the clever one got invited to teach in a famous school of the town, apparently he got to meet the principal and he managed to persuade him."
After a long day I returned home.
"Guys, I am back." I Shout.
Once I opened the door I saw Keya and Kahiro fighting over a thing that seemed like a donut.
"Let me eat it, I got it as a gift" Keya said.
"There is no way u will eat it alone, you can't imagine how much I missed our world's food" Kahiro replied.
"I miss it more, its mine"
"Share it, why must you eat it alone, aren't we friends that share everything?"
"Not that you would share it, I am sure you just want to take it and run"
"Both of you stop!" I said.
"We are grown-ups, we can't act like that." At that moment i got to smell the donut and I felt something awakening in me. "I… Yo give me the donut and I will split it in two equally"
"She is suspicious, I think we shouldn't trust her" Keya said.
"It's obvious" Kahiro replied.
"You monkeys give me the donut"
At the end not even I couldn't resist the holy donut.
The next morning as I head to work I heard about a quest that could give us a lot more money than me working on a stall, so I asked around to learn more. Apparently a guild nearby were hiring people for quests and missions. When I returned home I told Kahiro and Keya and we agreed to go check it out.
Then next day me and Keya headed out to search for the guild hall, we got lost here and there but thanks to the town people we managed to find it.
We entered the guild hall and we saw many people drinking and having fun.
"So this is what a guild feels like" Keya said.
"It feels warm" I replied.
"Yeah, it feels like home actually"
"How can I help you?" A woman approached and asked.
"Hello miss, we heard from people that you give a good reward for a variety of quests is that true?" I asked
"Yes, we actually hire people to do the small jobs for the guild, that way our adventurers can focus more on the hard ones." She said.
"Ah I see."
"If you are interested on that, you can check the board with the mission papers. Then if you find something suitable for you proceed to take the paper and register your team for the mission on the bar over there." She explained.
"It seems really simple, thank you miss" Keya said.
We immediately went to check on the board.
"Wow there are so many different missions. This one gives 10 silver tokens for a day of gathering herbs" I said.
At this point I would like to explain how the economy works since we have kind of researched it. So money in this world are in the form of tokens, there are the gold tokens, the silver tokens and the coper tokens, Gold being the most precious. 10 coper tokens would value the same as 1 silver, while 10 silver would be the same as 1 gold. The economy is based on worldwide trading and transactions. It seems that Celinea is the richest continent followed by Fluavror due to its mines, the rest of the continents are equally strong economically.
"Hmm, should we actually pick it up?" Keya said.
"I mean, it seems juicy, let's take it" I replied.
And so we unpinned the paper and went to the bar.
"Hello mister, can we have some more information on the mission of this paper?" I asked the barman
"Hello ladies, Of course, at the east coast of Sunosuperu you can find a herb used for potions which is really valuable for the guild, we ask of you to find as many as you can, more than seventy at least. The herb you will be searching is named Enia, here is a picture of the herb, do you want me to register your team for the job?" the barman asked.
"Yeah sure, we got it" Keya replied.
"Ok then, I will register your names and I will give you a paper with more instructions of the location, thank you for you service."
And that's how we began our first adventure for a mission.
The next morning, Kahiro left for the school while we were getting prepared for the mission.
"Let's head out Senya, maybe we can get more tokens if we manage to gather more than they expect." Keya said.
"I am ready, lets head out."
The barman gave us a map with the location, the instructions were pretty good and helpful so we managed to reach the location without a problem.
"What a beautiful day it is" I said
"Yeah it is, but stop slacking off, I won't find the herbs alone."
"I am not slacking, I have already gathered 6.."
"Girl i count 35 already in my bag"
">.> I need a break ^.^"
"Come on we need the tokens and also it seems like a storm is coming. We should hurry."
"Okay, okay let's do it"
Slowly but steadily we managed to gather 100 herbs so we had already completed our quest. And since we still had some time we gathered some more and returned to the town.
Back to the guildhall
"Thank you for your service adventurers, here Is your reward." the barman said.
"Thank you mister, we gathered some extra Enia would you like to have them too?" I asked.
"I am sorry but the guild gives us enough tokens to buy specific quantities, so I cant buy more than that."
"Its ok, thank you a lot, we will be back for new quests in the future" Keya said.
"See you around then."
We safely returned back home where Kahiro was waiting for us, we had dinner and talked about the adventure we had this day.
"I might have an idea of how to use the remaining Enia to make some healing potions for us" Kahiro said.
"I studied some books in the school about them and how they can be used in the making of potions."
Kahiro grabbed the herbs and started preparations to boil them.
"Are you sure that it's going to work? It would be a pity to destroy them" Keya said
"I think, I can do it" Kahiro replied
He followed the steps as best as he remembered it.
"Keya use apprehension to check its capabilities now" Kahiro said
"It seems like its incomplete, there must be something missing, Senya lend me some Ki." Keya said.
I touched Keya and she started searching for a way to complete the potion.
"It needs to mature, something like wine, it will take a week to be complete. We should just let it balance itself." Keya said
"By the way, your Ki capacity just rose a little Kahiro." Keya continued
" Oh, I just looked at my techniques and It seems like I have obtained the Foodify technique, it lets me turn small things to any food dishes I think of. If we think that this world works like an MMO It must be a reward to an achievement of the world. We should use this ability to make some money"
"It sounds good, lets gather some more tokens and open up a stall selling European food, it would sell good." Keya said.
And I agreed.
2 months later after many gathering missions and other part time jobs, we opened the stall. It thankfully performed exceptionally well and we managed to gather a lot of tokens. Of course it would do well though, once people here saw Lasagna it was already over for them.
One day a stranger passed by our stall and Keya heard them whispering "Otherworlders", she immediately ran after them but in an instant they vanished in the crowd. At the same night we heard someone knocking at our door but when we opened it we found no one there.
"I am getting the chills guys" Keya said
"Is someone trying to scare us or something?" Kahiro said
"I don't know but we got to sleep for now, tomorrow we got a big day at the stall" Senya replied.
That night Senya had a dream again, after a long time..
"Wake up Senya, you must run, a demon is after you" The strange voice sounded through the house loud and clear.
Kahiro, Senya and Keya woke up in an instant.
"What was that?" Kahiro asked.
"What is wrong with us today, why am I hearing voices now?" Keya said
"I will explain later, I think this voice is trying to help us with something" Senya replied
"Did she just warn us of a demon coming our way?" Kahiro said
"I heard the same, should we trust it though?" Keya replied
"Lets leave the house for tonight, we got nothing to lose, lets stay at the hotel next to our stall." Senya said.
At the time they closed the door behind them, a strange figure appeared in front of them.
"What makes you so special Otherworlders?, oh tell me." The strange figure said quietly.
"Show yourself" Senya shouted.
"You don't have to see me little girl, soon you will be no more" The strange figure shouted as they disappeared.
Senya, Kahiro and Keya started running but it was futile, the strange figure just appeared in front of them again.
At an instant, He appeared in front of Senya.
"SENYA!! RUN!" Kahiro screamed.
But it was already too late. With just a move of their arm, they created a shockwave that threw us all on the ground. He then grabbed me by the head and raised me up.
"I can now see what makes you that special, but why is that, why do u have that vast amount of dark Ki?" the strange figure whispered before he plunged his hand in my stomach.
"SENYAAAA" Keya screamed.
At that moment I lost my consciousness from the pain.
"Am I dying? Agh. Hope Keya and Kahiro can make it out alive." I whispered inside my thoughts
"Its not your time vessel" I heard lilitu whisper…
