Blaze woke up slowly. His head was muddled at first but became clear a moment later. The first thing he did was to check for Evelyn, but he didn't see anybody.
"She left?" Blaze asked Aphrodite.
"Yup," Aphrodite replied.
"Just like that? She never came and undressed me?" Blaze asked dubiously.
Aphrodite shook her head.
"What about checking my house?"
Aphrodite shook her head again, making a confused expression etched onto Blaze's face. "Strange," Blaze mumbled absentmindedly.
However, Aphrodite added. "But she… "
Blaze's ears perked.
Aphrodite's face scowled. "Hell! Were you expecting her to do something?! She never did anything but left after sitting for an hour." However, She added calmly, "But I heard her mumble wistfully, 'Cherry and I are in a similar situation, but our bloodline issues are opposite' while you were asleep."
Blaze placed his hand on his chin and began thinking.
