Chapter 15 - Marcus

"Geoff, I heard you took Agatha back home". Beyer said sitting beside him knowing he isn't really happy with the fact that Agatha is gone. Geoffrey turned, seeing it was Beyer he turned back facing the river once again, his initial eye position.

"Yeah I did, it's for the best isn't it?".

he asked forcing a smile on his lips.

"And how did you know I am here?" he asked throwing a marble into the river.

"I have known you for a long time now, we grew up together remember?"

he asked looking at him.

"Of course I know that, but it has nothing to do with me coming here". he said throwing another marble into the river.

"You normally come here when you are sad about something or can't place your thoughts, I have met or followed you here in the past, I went to your place looking for you, but your mom said you weren't back yet, and I guessed you would be here". he said with a smile looking at Geoffrey. Geoffrey only looked at him without saying a word he turned back and threw another marble into the river in a fierce manner.

"You miss her don't you?"he asked tapping him gently on the shoulder.

"Yeah, even if I say I don't you already know the answer to that". he said picking another marble to throw but Beyer held his hand, stopping him.

"C'mon Geoff, it's not up to a day she returned and you are like this, ain't you the one that do say, their is always an another day?, you should hope their actually would be an another day". Beyer encouraged him dropping the marble.

"You are right, I actually did say same words to her but I don't know why I feel she's hurting at the moment". he said with a questioning face.

"Maybe you are just over thinking it, c'mon now, let's get going it's already late, your mom is worried about your way about". Beyer assured helping him up and making him leave with him, but Geoffrey still isn't convinced that all was well with Agatha.

"Agie... Agie please open the door, you have been in there for so long now, please everyone is really worried about you out here, please Agie hear us out we didn't mean to hide anything from you, please open the door". Ulrika pleaded with Agatha to open the door in a sad tone. Agatha opened the door with her packed baggage, cleaning her eyes not wanting to cry anymore, Ulrika looked at her in astonishment, confused to what's going on in Agatha's mind.

"Mom... thank you for always being there for me and being the one I run to when I'm in need, but you are not to be blamed".

Agatha said in a teary eyes, she faced the other side and wiped off the tears, Agatha carried the baggage down the stairs while Ulrika followed her back trying to stop her, but Agatha didn't budge to stop.

"Agie? where are you going with the baggages". Johnathan asked standing from his throne.

"You told me my real Identity... I can't stay here pretending I am who I am not... not anymore, I have to go with my real parents, I will really be forever indebted to you for raising me till this day, It would have hurt less if this step was taken for my sake but no, my life plans, dreams got interrupted by all this, so it's better I leave and find a stand for myself before it is too late". Agatha said trying not to cry as she turned her back on him, not wanting him to see her tears like she always do.

Johnathan wanted to say something but lost his words, he only raised his hand to hold her but eventually placed it down.

"Father, you made such a huge sacrifice all this years for your friendship and I believe you can't do less for your own daughter". Agatha said facing Erix who was dumb founded at the moment watching everyone like he was seeing a movie series or trailer

" You don't have to say anything, let's go home uncle Erix... uhmm sorry dad". she said still facing Erix.

"It's okay, you don't have to force yourself to call me dad". Erix manage to say after his long term silent.

"don't forget that I will always love you two and consider you as family".

she said turning back to Johnathan and Ulrika, forcing a smile on her lips.

"But are we ever gonna meet again?"

Ulrika asked in tears.

"Sure, a friend of mine once told me that there will always be an another day".

she said with a smile remembering who's words it was.

"I will hold on to that then, hoping there would be an another day like you said". Ulrika said kissing her forehead.

Agatha turned facing the door way about leaving with her baggages when Sandra stepped in with Marcus.

"Marcus?" Johnathan queried moving closer to them.

"Lancelot informed me you wanted me here with Lancelot". Sandra said in a sad tone equally holding Marcus baggage.

"Yes I did send him to fetch you both, because the truth is to be made know to all someday and it can't be bad if it happens today". Johnathan said firmly.

"So, it all ends now?" Sandra asked still unable to believe it herself, she had raised and loved Marcus as her's, she doesn't really wanna let go off him.

"Yes, It all ends today and now".

Johnathan stated drastically.

"Can someone actually tell me what actually is going on here?, mother never told me a thing before packing my things and bringing me here, and father how come you are here and why do you look pale?" Marcus asked, not understanding what was really going on.

"I'm sorry my dear for keeping you in the dark, actually the thing is that you are the prince of our kingdom, which means that the king is your father". Sandra said.

"The king... my father, are you kidding me?" Marcus asked in astonishment not believing what he just heard.

"Yesterday I was just a mare farmer's son and today you are telling me that I am that I am a prince?" Marcus asked in a questioning tone.

"Yes Marcus, you are my son, you were exchanged with Agatha at the time of your birth so as to protect you from your Uncle Cane, all this happened 18 years ago after your birth". Johnathan explained moving closer to Marcus.

"I... you mean that... I am actually the prince?" Marcus asked trying to digest the word "prince".

Agatha dragged her baggage and left the palace, Erix and Sandra bowed before living with her as well leaving Marcus and her parents behind. Marcus turned back seeing those he considered as his parents all this years leaving without a word other than nodding.
