Chapter 10 - Chapter 8 (Checkpoint)

"Humans, creatures who are most effected by emotions which sometimes stop them from doing a specific task. For example, killing another human or hurting someone or sometimes, expressing themselves. Or this is what I was told."

"How...how can he just keep on shooting them like that. Doesn't he realize that he is ruining their entire lives by even making them unable to be on a battle ground ever again."

"Is he even human?" she thought as she looks at Yaku, shooting anyone he sees.

His arms and fingers keep on exploding blood out of them as his muscles are tearing apart and regenerating again and again, at some point, even his eyes start to bleed along with his nose.

"IT HURTS BUT IT IS FUN! I CAN"T STOP ENJOYING IT!" he screams as he keeps on shooting.

He is shooting one bullet per time individually. What draining him is the time difference between shooting one bullet individually and the time he gives his eyes to focus. and the speed he moves his arms with. Its almost like he's constantly shooting.

Soon, he starts to bleed from his mouth and before collapsing, shoots the last target near them, giving a safe route to go much nearer to the box.

As he collapsed, the saint grabs him by his waist and runs to a much safer place.

In just 30 seconds, he comes to.

He gets up and finds himself near the box but behind another rock.

"Are you even human?" she asks him.

"What do you mean?"

"Don't you feel pain?"

Yaku stands up and stretches his moments ago broken arms and ribs.

"It sure hurt like hell." he complains.

"And what was with that smirk? Don't you feel any guilt? You just ruined their lives,"

He cracks a smile that gives shivers to the saint.

"Don't you think it would be a too quick of suffering if I just kill them?"

"Huh?"

"I want them to suffer and regret being my enemy while they are alive."

*BANG!*

With the sound of a bullet, Yaku gets pulled to the saint, completely dislocating his arm and having the bullet pass through his hand, to the direction of the saint.

The speed of the bullet was reduced enough to not do any great damage.

After taking the bullet, Yaku runs to the shooter and hits him unconscious.

That very moment, he creates the most toxic plan ever. With a huge smile on his face, he walks to the saint and grabs her arm.

"What are you doing?" she complains.

"Well, you see, I noticed something, when you were shot at, I was able to view the bullet at a supe slow speed. I could trace it. That helps a lot as you can imagine. So, we are making a run for it. All I have to do is expose you to danger."

She looks at him in confusion.

"You are insane. You do realize each leap is going to cost you a bone."

"I doubt it." he says.

"Huh? How?"

"You people lived for centuries, right? I have your experience on me right now. I doubt the contract will let me make any harsh moves unless I force myself."

"Oh, nice thinking."

"Well then," he pulls her up.

"Let's go!" he shouts as he made a run for it.

Back at the school, the shooting had calmed down. The shooters returned after finding no sign of the saint and there were zero casualties. There was no sign of any fight either. Just some tables all around and bullet holes everywhere.

Most of the students were gathered in the ground to remain safe and some of them were still inside. They either lost their way, locked themselves or were trapped.

Mei was one of them.

When she saw Yaku suddenly run away, she tried to run after him but lost track on him. Instead of going back she continued searching so she got trapped when the shooters came in the building.

"How long has it been since I've been hiding in this room. Probably an hour. It is his fault. Only if he explained me before running away like that." she complains.

"Maybe I should get out of here too."

She gets up and cautiously opens the door, then sticks her head out and looks around. After confirming no one is around, she gets out of the room.

Suddenly, the electricity is gone. Now it's almost completely dark.

"Yeah, what else. My luck sucks. Bet he is enjoying himself."

While supporting herself with the wall, she walks to the direction of the main door.

As she gets to the stairs, she finds them completely destroyed.

"Great, now I have to go all my way back and take the other stairs." she says in an annoyed voice.

As she turns around, her life flashes in front of her. She can't feel the ground anymore, but only the pressure of air, and the rage of gravity. She finds herself, falling to her death. She put her hands over her head and back, and tried, to just see the attacker.

It was dark so she couldn't see him. He had soft hands that she determined by the touch, long hair and super slim body.

*"Oh, so its revenge."*

"WE ARE FINALLY HERE!" Yaku shouts as he gasps for air.

"Barely, we almost fall like uncountable times and how in the hell are you not screaming in pain?" she replies while looking at him with disappointment.

"The excitement hides the pain. Also I am starting to feel dizzy."

"Of course, you did lost a lot of blood."

"Can I have it back?"

"Actually, there is a technique. We don't need it because the blood type fluid in our original body keeps on multiplying. But as our hosts can die through blood lose, we created the technique."

"So, what is it?"

She silently stabs him with the dagger.

"W-what the hell was that for?" he asks in pain while holding the dagger.

"Don't question and pull it out."

He does as he is ordered to.

"Alright now just imagine your blood flowing back in."

"Uh-huh."

He closes his eyes and focuses on imagining that.

Suddenly his wound started to feel hot. He concentrates more and feels something entering his wound.

He opens his eyes in surprise. The blood that's compatible to him, all of it is entering inside him.

"HOLY SHIT THIS IS COOL!" he says in excitement.

"I am shocked. You truly have the powers of us under contract."

Yaku feels a strange metal thing on his head. He turns around to find a solider holding him on gun point.
