Chapter 1 - Prologue

In ancient times, the gods of destruction and creation painstakingly forged a world inhabited by an abundance of races. Seductive sirens, elegant elves, brave dwarves, imposing monsters, wandering technomakia beasts that should have never existed, mystical animals, and those who disrupted the delicate balance: humanity. In that vibrant world, mana flowed in the atmosphere, with each race capable of controlling it to a greater or lesser extent. However, the human race possessed an innate ability to master mana, thanks to their astonishing adaptability. This ability granted them unprecedented power but also plunged them into an incessant internal struggle.

Humanity, driven by insatiable desires for power, led them down a dark and twisted path. Seeking more power, they transformed into bloodthirsty vampires, moon-captive werewolves, and demons with an insatiable desire to fight and slaughter. These subraces undoubtedly acquired tremendous power but also became completely uncontrollable. Their existence became a constant and ruthless threat, and in their quest to preserve the purity of their race, they began hunting down the emerging subraces. This gave rise to various families, such as the Van Hellsings, innate hunters who dedicated themselves to pursuing those considered a threat. Others, however, yearned for peace and delved into meditation to shape the mana that surrounded them, seeking the lost harmony. After much time and dedication, some humans managed to achieve immaculate power, capable of unleashing the true potential of mana.

However, internal wars and fear consumed them. Conflicts between different human factions led to the destruction of an entire culture.

The descendants of those humans who managed to reach the true potential of mana became proud, selfish, and greedy. Believing themselves to possess more powerful blood and a greater affinity for mana, they rose as kings and nobles in their pursuit of dominion and control. Power corrupted their minds and hearts, leading them down a dark and merciless path.

Meanwhile, a religion emerged, venerating those who had reached the true potential of mana, believing them to be gods. The commoners, the majority of the population and considered weak in comparison, were treated as if they were nothing. They were oppressed, victims of inequality and the contempt of those who considered themselves superior.

In the shadows, a group of rebels began to rise. With the aim of ending inequality and liberating the oppressed, they were willing to overcome any threat to achieve their goal.

Heart-wrenching screams, anguished moans, and lunatic laughter echoed in my ears, enveloping me in a whirlwind of chaos. The piercing pain spread through my right arm and left leg, but I clung to the will to move forward. With each step, I fought to stay on my feet, defying the adversities that stood in my path. And what my eyes witnessed far exceeded the terrifying symphony I had heard. Houses devoured by flames, a human stampede fleeing from armed men.

I continued to advance, defying the despair that threatened to engulf me completely, until one of them fixed their gaze upon me.

"Hahaha, look who I found," exclaimed with ruthless satisfaction, addressing a towering man.

"You're right, let's capture him alive!" responded the one who appeared to hold the title of leader, a man with a great beard, a deep and raspy voice, a tall and imposing figure.

Faced with such a sinister assertion, my survival instinct took over, and I launched myself into a limping sprint, feeling the piercing pain growing stronger. I ran limping, but I didn't care; I wanted to survive. However, a powerful impact to the back of my head robbed me of consciousness, and everything plunged into darkness.
