Oh... fuck.
"Where's Eamon?" I asked, my heart sinking as I scanned the lobby of the inn in Havenbrook. We had all gathered after our warm baths and fresh clothes, but the other mage of our party was conspicuously absent.
I couldn't shake the unease that had settled in my gut.
I couldn't help but feel on edge after that encounter with the shape-shifting Frostborn, and the sudden disappearance of one of our own only added to the tension.
Seraphine shared my concern. "He should have been here by now. Let's go check his room."
We hurried to Eamon's assigned room, but it was empty. His belongings were still there, and nothing seemed out of place. It was as if he had simply vanished into thin air.
Damn it... If what I fear is true, then, nothing worse could be happening in Havenbrook.
"This doesn't make sense," Evie muttered, her eyes darting around the room. "Where could he have gone?"
