The Ice Queen's icy presence still hung heavy in the air as she gestured for us to rise from the ice chairs.
I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief as the pressure lessened ever so slightly. It was clear that her power was beyond anything I had encountered before, and there was no room for arrogance in her presence.
"Firstly, though, you all need a rest," the queen stated, her cold voice laced with a hint of kindness, though it did little to thaw the chill in the room. "You must've had a tiring few days."
The offer for rest was a welcomed one. I was very tired of both my physical and mental wounds.
Any sort of rest I could get right now would be very much welcome.
