[Warlock Profession: You have awakened the fire element affinity. Please, go ahead and select the specialization that you want as a warrior.]
Henry immediately selected to become a swordsman. This was the specialization that he felt that it was made for him. Even though he could possess the skills of any other type of weapon, it was entirely different from the matter of falling in love with a certain profession.
[You have selected swordsmanship specialization. To get the skills which are related to the profession, you are required to reach the bronze rank.]
[You have received SSS rank Summoner profession. You can go ahead and do the summoning. The creature that will be summoned will be of the same level as the summoner.]
Immediately after the prompts disappeared, Henry finally felt that the changes that were occurring in his body had finally been completed. His body felt as if it was full of energy.
And currently, the energy that he had been accumulating as he kills monsters, he felt that he could finally control it at will.
With curiosity, Henry decided to utilize the energy, following the memories that had been injected in his mind. The memories that he had received were related to how to utilize the energy in his body.
Since he was granted the fire affinity, he was also given the knowledge on how to utilize it. But, he would have to practiced it by himself. Additionally, he would have to look for ways that he could maximize the efficiency of the energy in his body.
Henry controlled the energy in his body, and it flowed towards his hand. And immediately thereafter, he suddenly saw that there was a flicker of a yellow flame that appeared on his hand.
And as time went by, the small flame that was on his hand continuously grew. In no time, it had already become the size of a tennis ball.
It was also at this moment that Henry finally realized that this was the maximum size of a fireball that he could release. Moreover, the energy that was in his body had already been consumed. That implied that, if he wanted to utilize the fireball, he would only be able to fire 10 shots.
Even though it was true that the fireball in his hand was small, Henry could feel that there was a lot of destructive power inside it.
As for controlling it, that was not a problem for him. He could definitely control it at a basic level. But, he would have to practice the move in case he wanted to make some complex maneuvers.
Adam was surprised when he saw that Henry had actually summoned fire. He couldn't help but ask, "Did you choose the mage profession?"
"Not really. I got a unique profession." Henry replied. He didn't bother to explain anything else. Instead, he tried looking around, to see if he could find a target to test the power of the fireball in his hand. Fireball, the most basic skill of a fire mage, that was granted to him.
Adam got curious about what unique profession it was. He, of course, understood that a unique profession was something that didn't have any other like it or special in nature. That meant that, even if he wanted the profession, there was no way that he was going to get it. After all, it never appeared in his choices.
Suddenly, the lights around the area that they were in went out. It was obvious that there was a certain apocalyptic creature that had messed with the connections.
But even so, darkness never descended in the area. The area was currently illuminated by a small fireball that was in Henry's hand.
As if affected by the presence of the light, a wolf suddenly charged over. And when it saw two human beings, it didn't even bother to think about why the two of them were outside while others were hiding.
When he saw that a wolf was charging towards him, Henry finally got a target. Even though it was true that his energy had been consumed to make the fireball, the longer that he held the fireball in his hand, the higher the amount of energy was being consumed to maintain it.
Without hesitation, he tracked the wolf's trajectory, before he threw the fireball towards it.
Boom! Howl!
As if a bomb had been thrown over, the fireball erupted with immense power. A mushroom cloud was formed as dust was thrown into the air. A shockwave was created, blowing away the pebbles and sand on the ground.
The wolf that was at the center of the attack howled in pain, just for a moment before it was blasted into pieces. Blood and flesh splattered on the ground around the area where the fireball fell.
Both Henry and Adam looked at the scene blankly. None of them had expected that the small fireball that was thrown over by Henry contained such immense power.
It was also at this moment that Henry finally realized the horror of a mage. Even though it was true that they possessed the weakest defenses, when it came to the attack power, they were definitely among the superior.
But still, Henry could only shake his head as he knew that, even though it was true that the power of the fireball was devastating, it was limited. He could only attack with such power 10 times.
In case he wanted to attack more, then he had to reduce the power of the fireball that he used.
Tap! Tap! Tap!
Suddenly, the two of them heard the sound of footsteps approaching them at a rapid speed. Henry could immediately tell that the wolves that were in the surrounding areas had been attracted by the loud noise.
With darkness already enshrouding the area, the two of them were already having difficulty in seeing a distance from them. For that reason, in case they were attacked while here, then they were going to fall at a disadvantage.
"We have to get somewhere where there is light." Henry stated before he began rushing towards the area that he could see that the lights were still on.
Adam followed him. The two of them had decided to utilize their ears, to make sure that they headed in the direction that had the least number of wolves.
Henry, on the other hand, summoned another fireball. But instead of throwing it to attack, he used it as a source of light.
On his left hand, there was a fireball, and on his right hand, there was a sword. Since they didn't want to attract much attention, both Henry and Adam were going to utilize their weapons.
Any wolf that appeared in front of them was slashed into pieces by the duo. With the increase in strength that they had received, it was not difficult for them to handle the unranked wolves anymore.
Even though Adam's skills were still unrefined, that was something that couldn't be detected if he was facing unranked wolves.
On the way, they managed to kill around 30 wolves. It seemed that the loud noise had attracted the wolves that were in the other areas of the vicinity.
During this period, Henry finally realized something. The higher the number of apocalyptic creatures that he kills, the higher the amount of energy in his body. Additionally, even the amount of energy that he had utilized in the first fireball was actually recovered.
But still, the recovery speed was still low as compared to the consumption. According to the recovery speed, it was obvious that the maximum number of fireballs that he could use had only increased to 13 before he had to take time to recover the energy again.
Other than the wolf that Henry had blasted apart, he made sure that they took the bodies of all the wolves that they killed along the way.
"Aaah! Someone help me!"
Just as they turned around a corner, they heard a shrill scream. And since they had already arrived in the area where there was light, they saw that there was a lady in a lab coat that was being chased by a wolf.
Even though the two of them couldn't understand how she had managed to run from the wolf, but they could see that she was exhausted, and the wolf was going to catch up soon.
When the lady saw them, she actually begun rushing towards them. "Please help me." She asked in an almost crying tone.
But of course, the two of them, Henry and Adam, had no intention of helping her. After all, the two of them were brought here against their will.
And since she was a part of the facility, if possible, the two of them would have actually killed her had it not been for the fact that she was being chased by a wolf.
Of course, they harbored a lot of resentment towards this facility. They had been working for over a decade, without even being able to see their family. And, they were actually working for free!
When she saw that the two of them were not moving, the lady summoned energy from somewhere, and suddenly increased her speed.
Henry utilized this chance to observe the wolf that was after her. The wolf was injured, and that was the reason as to why it couldn't run at its maximum speed. The leg had a severe wound, as if it had been cut by a sharp weapon. Even the bones could be seen from the wound.
When the lady arrived in front of them, she finally collapsed as she had overdrawn the energy that was inside her body. As for the wolf, after seeing that there were actually three people in front of it, it struggled to increase its speed.
Henry was just about to leave when he suddenly thought of something. He waited until the wolf appeared in front of him, before slashing down with his sword.
Thud!
The wolf couldn't react before it was beheaded. It crashed onto the ground heavily, as it twitched before finally dying completely.
"Do you know where the owner of this facility is?" Henry asked as he looked at the lady who was on the ground, panting heavily.
