Chapter 14 - Rank O

[For every apocalyptic creature that the host will be selling to the system store, he would receive a mutation crystal of the same rank.]

Henry was silent, as he tried to process the information. It seemed that with the system here, he was going to be capable of actually getting two mutation crystals for every apocalyptic creature that he killed.

This made him have a huge amount of expectations, about killing the level one apocalyptic creatures. If he managed just to kill five of them, it would be the same as him getting 10 level 1 mutation crystals.

If he converted them to the unranked mutation crystals, then he would have gotten 1000 mutation crystals. With these, it was enough for him to arm himself, and improve his strength tremendously.

In the end, Henry could only sigh, as they had only managed to kill 9 unranked wolves. For that reason, he was going to receive nine mutation crystals.

'System, I would like to convert all the bodies of the apocalyptic creatures that I have killed, into mutation crystals. Thereafter, I would like to convert the level 1 mutation crystal into unranked mutation crystals.' Henry stated in his mind.

[Confirmed. The host's current balance is, 125.]

When he got that information, Henry decided to purchase a healing potion. He had to ensure that Adam was completely healed, so that the two of them could get out and continue their hunt.

With only 1 hour given to him, he had to maximize it to make sure that the two professions that he had choosen, would come at a level that was the highest.

[Health potion- It can be used to heal any injuries that have been caused by apocalyptic creatures. The higher the level of the user, the lower the effect of the potion. Cost; 100mc.]

Henry saw that his balance had decreased by 100, leaving him with only 25 mutation crystals. Even though he felt somehow pained when his saw his balance had dropped drastically, he didn't think too much about it considering that he had done this for his brother and himself as well.

Thereafter, Henry opened the system inventory, and retrieved the small bottle that had appeared in the inventory.

Immediately after that, Henry suddenly felt that something had appeared in his hand. It was the same small glass bottle that contained a green liquid.

He then looked at Adam who was still trying to use his clothes to block the wounds which were still bleeding. He walked over and handed him the small bottle.

"What is this?" Adam asked confusedly.

"Drink that. It is going to help you with the wounds that you have suffered." Henry replied as he began walking towards the door.

Adam looked at the small bottle suspiciously. But even so, he still opened the cap of the bottle and gulped the small green liquid that was inside. He had noticed that Henry was doing some strange things recently. For that reason, he didn't even ask about where the small bottle came from.

After he drank the small liquid, he suddenly felt a warm current rushing through his body. At the same time, the pain that he was feeling from the wounds suddenly calmed down.

Then under his astonished eyes, he saw that the ones that he had suffered began healing at a rapid speed. Adam could only dazedly stare at the ones as they recovered.

In just 1 minute, he had suddenly returned to his peak condition. Of course, this was health-wise, not in terms of fatigue.

He got to his feet as he began stretching his limbs, just to confirm that it was true that he had already recovered. When he saw that he could completely do simple movements without feeling any kind of pain, he finally believed that this was not a dream.

He turned around and looked at the door of the laboratory. He saw that Henry was just about to open the door. Knowing that words were not enough to express his gratitude, he decided that he was going to work hard so that he could do something for Henry.

"If you are done, let's keep going. We need to hunt more wolves. If there are any other creatures, then we can kill them as well." Henry voiced out as he opened the door.

Adam hurriedly followed him out. Thereafter, the two of them began going around, hunting the apocalyptic creatures. As long as they came across any apocalyptic creatures, they wouldn't wait for it to come after them. Instead, they went after them.

This created a very bizarre scene, where if any of the youth who had been running away for their lives saw, they would definitely doubt themselves.

Of course, Henry didn't care about any of that. Instead, his mind was only thinking about the one-hour period that had been given to him. He wanted to kill as many wolves as possible, while at the same time ensuring that he didn't die.

After just about 10 minutes or so, Adam finally completed his 10th kill. Similarly to how it happened for Henry, a screen popped up in front of him.

The familiar instructions about selection of a profession were also given to Adam. He couldn't help but get somehow flabbergasted.

"Henry, has a screen suddenly appeared in front of you as well?" Adam asked as he looked at the screen in front of him, continuing to read the words that had appeared.

He had played several games when he was young, before the two of them were abducted and brought over. So, he couldn't help but wonder just how the screen in front of him looked like the one that he had seen in games.

"Yes, just select a profession that you think is very suitable to you. After that, we are going to continue with killing the monsters." Henry replied nonchalantly. He had already been expecting this.

Adam nodded his head in return. Subsequently, he went through the long list of professions, both combat and non-combat.

Henry, on the other hand, went on to keep watching, to ensure that Adam was not attacked at such a moment. He himself had continuously gotten stronger, the more the monsters that he kills the more he bacome stronger.

This had given him a lot of confidence. After all, during this period of time, he had already managed to kill nine more wolves. He had also noticed that, the number of wolves was increasing as time goes by.

Still, it didn't matter to him. As long as there were wolves for him to kill, then it was good enough.

Adam, on the other hand, selected the Berserker profession. He had always liked the characters in the games that he had played before, that would always have a drastic increase in their strength, and do everything that they wanted, without having to think about the consequences.

For that reason, he thought that the Berserker profession was just suitable for him. Thereafter, he received it the same prompt about having one hour to kill as many monsters as he could.

When he was done, the two of them continued killing the wolves that they encountered on their way. Even though the number of wolves that they were encountering began rising, it was as if the two of them never noticed.

After all, the two were always happy as they continued killing the wolves. Other than that, they didn't feel tired at all. Instead, they continued feeling that they were getting stronger, the more the number of wolves they kill.

In fact, the duo all had decided to take this opportunity to sharpen their skills. Even though it was true that Henry had been granted the basic level skills of utilizing a sword, he wanted to improve further so that he could get to the second star of the skills.

As for Adam, he had continuously gotten familiar with the axe. For that reason, he was capable of killing the monsters that they encountered more swiftly. The longer that he fought, the better that he was capable of handling the wolves.

His fighting experience had also increased, together with the improvement that he had seen in terms of his strength and agility, as well as other parameters.

For that reason, the injuries that he suffered during the past 30 minutes were very minimal. In fact, they were not different from scratches.

As for Henry himself, of course, he didn't have even a single scratch on him. With the skills that he possessed, and the improvement of his strength, it was effortless for him to handle the wolves.

As for the bodies of the monsters that they had killed, Henry had always taken them to the system store. This was another source of mutation crystals, something that they really needed at the moment.

1 hour later, finally, the time that Henry had been given elapsed. Currently, he felt that there were several changes that had already began taking place in his body.

The energy that was in his body, the one that had been continuously growing as he kills the monsters, finally begun moving. At the same time, a screen appeared in front of him.

[The one hour period has elapsed. Congratulations, you have managed to kill 138 apocalyptic creatures. Your performance has been rated SSS grade. For that reason, the grade of the professions that you are going to receive are all going to be SSS.]

[Congratulations. You are now a level 1 Rank O Warlock and Summoner. You can continue to level up with the number of monsters that you kill.]

Immediately after that, Henry begun feeling changes happening to his body. It wasn't just the movement of the energy that was previously idle, but instead, he felt that the structure of his body was actually changing.

He felt that his body temperature had also begun rising, even though it was slow. At the same time, he felt that there was a certain surge of memories that had appeared in his mind.

[Warlock Profession: You have awakened the fire element affinity. Please, go ahead and select the specialization that you want as a warrior.]
