Awakening the third bead inside a human, it was indeed the most important of ceremonies. Breathing in, Apathy looked around her.
She was inside the Wu Hall. The place where their ancestors' Wuma beads are stored. She looked at the shining beads floating above her in thousands and looking like small stars and couldn't help but hope.
Hope that she will get the same Wu as the greatest ancestors of the Snow Clan got. She didn't just want to be the genius heir of the clan, she wanted to be a Great Wuma, it was her promise to her mother.
Closing her eyes and sitting in the lotus position, she began her breakthrough. The other two heirs should be waiting for her to be done to start their process.
Unlike Bead 1 and Bead 2, awakening the 3rd bead was different and much simpler. And almost everyone knew what to do.
Focusing on her surroundings, she calmly started the process. The surroundings, the vast room filled with darkness and shining golden beads started to slowly rotate around her in the air.
Had someone looked, they would have seen an angel with thousands of fire flys flying around her.
She calmly let go of all her mental barriers and troubles and felt around herself, anyone with a body strengthened with the second bead can sense using their skin and she was no different.
But never had she felt so soft, so airy, she could feel something entering into her body from the outside world, something slightly cold to the touch. She could feel it entering from all of her pores and traveling through her body as it converged on her forehead.
A cold shock passed by her body and she began to breathe roughly. Slightly sweating, her vision a bit blurry, she looked down at the floor.
It was a mirror-like floor. She could see her face on it vividly. And in the center of her forehead, was the image of the Wu that was absorbed by her – her family's greatest Wu.
Sky Wu — The one that helps a Man fly and reach for the heavens.
She couldn't help but let out a dry chuckle. Everything in the whole wide world had a Wu representing it, from the inconspicuos 'Dust Wu' that represented Dust, the common 'Cold Wu' that represented coldness, to everything that anyone could ever imagine.
Everything had a Wu to it.
But she, she had absorbed a part of the Sky Wu itself.
She released a low chuckle once more and fell flat to the side, unconscious. The process of deciding her path might have been simple, but the pressure was there.
With gentle thuds, the flying beads fell to the ground, and amidst it, Apathy laid, the mirror-like floor reflecting the image of a circle on her forehead.
Representing the Limitless Sky.
A silent sigh echoed in the room, along with childish giggles. But the world didn't stop moving and the door to the Hall opened with a creaking sound.
A man walked in and lit the place with the fire floating in his hands, he looked at Apathy and seeing the circle mark on her forehead, smiled.
Indeed, killing the Mother was a good idea, that gave him a very good and hard working daughter in return.
Had someone known that their Ancestor, the one who they respected so much was looking at his own daughter with the eye of a wolf. Their hearts would have skipped a beat.
Their faces would have turned frozen in fear.
