Chapter 33 - Xiao Wu Returns Home

Er Ming pierced the bubble and rolled out quickly, controlling his movements to avoid making any noise.

Daming was angry and said to Er Ming, "Do you have the nerve to ask how you ended up like this? Can't you run when you can't win?"

Er Ming lowered his head and meekly replied, "I... I thought Xiao Wu was killed by them, and I got carried away..."

"What happened? Tell me," Daming asked with confusion, as he had only learned from Little Phantom Butterfly that Er Ming came back covered in blood and wounds.

Er Ming scratched his head awkwardly as he explained, "That day, Xiao Wu and I were playing together when she suddenly sensed the aura of a soul grass and ran off in that direction."

"I looked in the direction she ran and saw that it was where the Titan Giant Ape and the Thousand Hammer Ants lived. Even the two most powerful races there were no match for Xiao Wu. I couldn't catch up in time."

Er Ming felt ashamed because he had promised Daming to take care of Xiao Wu when they left.

"Because... in the past, whenever Xiao Wu ran off, nothing bad happened. Who could have expected this time..."

Daming heard this and became even more upset. "In the past? It seems you've let Xiao Wu run wild before?"

Er Ming hung his head and listened to Daming's reprimand without retorting.

Daming noticed Er Ming's remorse and continued, "What happened afterward? How did you get so badly injured?"

"Afterward... I wanted to find Xiao Wu and tell her it's time to go back... even though she always said 'in a little while' but it was actually days later..."

Er Ming scratched his head again, feeling embarrassed as he continued, "Because... previously, whenever Xiao Wu ran off, nothing bad happened. Who could have expected this time..."

"I wanted to get to Xiao Wu as fast as possible, and I heard the calls of Lightning Falcons. I felt something was wrong and ran towards them."

"When I arrived, I saw a large group of Lightning Falcons swooping down on Xiao Wu, and I heard her call my name..."

"I wanted to get to her and protect her from those Lightning Falcons, but I was a step too slow. The countless Lightning Falcons blocked my vision, and by the time I reached Xiao Wu's location, she was gone..."

"I thought... she was killed by the Lightning Falcons. Then, I fell into a frenzy, and I don't remember what happened next."

"But just before I lost consciousness, I vaguely saw Xiao Wu. I thought it was a dream, but I didn't expect that Xiao Wu was safe. It's really... such a relief."

Er Ming ended with a smile, but when he saw the look in Daming's eyes, his voice involuntarily lowered.

After listening to Er Ming's account, Daming sighed and didn't continue scolding him.

"Daming, what happened after I lost consciousness?" Er Ming asked, scratching his head in confusion.

"I'm not entirely sure, but I know that Little Phantom Butterfly's ancestor and the Blue Silver King saved both of you. However, the details are still unclear. Let's wait until Xiao Wu wakes up, and then we can discuss it," Daming replied.

Daming and Er Ming decided to stay in the Blue Silver Grassland temporarily and make plans once Xiao Wu woke up.

Two days later, Xiao Wu woke up from the bubble. It had been a long time since she had such a comfortable sleep.

"Wait, how did I fall asleep? Where are Daming and Er Ming?"

Suddenly, memories rushed back to her, and she remembered that she was in the Blue Silver Grassland.

Looking around, Xiao Wu saw Daming and Er Ming staring at her.

Er Ming joyfully embraced Xiao Wu and said, "Xiao Wu, you finally woke up!"

"Er Ming, you're awake too. How long have I been asleep? Oh, by the way, call me Sister Xiao Wu."

Xiao Wu said cheerfully to Er Ming. Then, she saw Daming and whispered in Er Ming's ear, "Er Ming, does Daming know about what happened to us?"

"Sorry, Sister Xiao Wu, he knows everything," Titan Giant Ape Er Ming whispered, but his voice was as loud as thunder.

Daming, standing nearby, heard the conversation clearly.

"Sister Xiao Wu, what happened exactly?" Daming showed no aversion to Xiao Wu calling him "Sister."

Xiao Wu felt a little silent and dared not look into Daming's eyes. Then, she explained how she sensed the soul grass and snatched it away from the Three Brothers - Bear, Lion, and Tiger.

"Afterward, I met the Butterfly Goddess, the butterfly that fainted. She saved Er Ming and me."

Xiao Wu recounted how Ye Ying saved them and brought them to the Blue Silver Grassland.

"Then, after we arrived here, the Blue Silver King healed Er Ming. But she seemed to have fainted trying to save the Butterfly Goddess."

Xiao Wu looked at the Blue Silver King as she spoke, feeling grateful to Ye Ying and the Blue Silver King.

"Daming, you're the most amazing one. Do you know what happened to them? Can you heal them?" Xiao Wu asked, trying to be cute and affectionate. She looked at Daming with hopeful eyes.

Daming replied with a hint of helplessness, "I... I'm not entirely sure. The Butterfly Goddess suffered spiritual damage, and I can't do anything about it. As for the Blue Silver King... I can't sense her spiritual power at all."

Daming wished he had a solution to help them, but he felt powerless in this situation. He couldn't even sense the Blue Silver King's condition, let alone heal her.

"Is there really no way, Daming?" Xiao Wu's voice carried a sense of disappointment.

"As for the Blue Silver King, I truly can't help her, but for the Butterfly Goddess, there's one soul beast who might be able to assist her," Daming said after some thought.

"Who is it? If it can cure the Butterfly Goddess, I'll do anything!" Xiao Wu declared determinedly. In her heart, she was willing to do whatever it took to wake the Butterfly Goddess.

"You're very familiar with this soul beast; it's your mother," Daming replied.

"Mom? Auntie Rong is the most powerful soul beast I've encountered over the years in terms of spiritual power. If Auntie Rong comes, maybe she can really wake up the Butterfly Goddess."

"Great! Let's go back together. I'll ask my mother to save the Butterfly Goddess. Even if she blames me, I'll accept it," Xiao Wu said firmly. She was actually afraid of her mother finding out about her misadventures outside.

Ever since her father left, her mother had been tirelessly cultivating to break through to a hundred-thousand-year soul beast, hoping to find her father as soon as possible.

"My mother often secretly weeps during her cultivation at night. She thinks I don't know, but I do. If I go back this time and she finds out about my troublemaking, she'll be so sad. But without her, the Butterfly Goddess and Er Ming wouldn't have fallen into a deep sleep because of me."

Xiao Wu thought about it, holding Daming's hand while asking Er Ming to wait there. She was going to get her mother to save the Butterfly Goddess.

"Wait for me, Butterfly Goddess. I will definitely bring my mother to save you."
