Chapter 9 - Ten Thousand -Year Spirit Beast

At the moment when the Blue Silver Grass emitted energy, Ye Die Die quickly reacted and used her camouflage to surround Ah Yin.

But it was still too late. The energy emanating from Ah Yin had already been sensed by other spirit beasts. The deadly attraction drew half of the chaotic area's spirit beasts, and they rushed towards this direction.

"What's happening? What's going on?"

The voice of the Blue Silver King came urgently.

He had just awakened from cultivation and noticed that the energy was rushing towards this place, which happened to be Ye Die Die's residence.

When he arrived here, he saw Ah Yin sitting in cultivation, and the energy had already disappeared.

After he arrived, he carefully sensed and discovered that Ah Yin had actually become a Millennium Spirit Beast, which surprised him.

He was aware of Ah Yin's existence, but ever since Ye Die Die mentioned cultivating this Blue Silver Grass, he entrusted Ah Yin to her care.

At first, he was a bit worried and kept an eye on this side, but seeing that Ah Yin was not in any danger, he let go of his concerns. He didn't expect that after several hundred years, she would actually become a Millennium Spirit Beast.

"Ah Yin? You've become a Millennium Spirit Beast! That's great! Our clan finally has a second Millennium Spirit Beast," the Blue Silver King exclaimed.

Ah Yin had already recovered from her cultivation. Her sudden breakthrough had caused her energy to not be properly contained.

Now that she had calmed down, Ah Yin nodded at Ye Die Die, and she removed her soul skill camouflage.

"Butterfly Sister, King, just now..."

Ah Yin told the Blue Silver King about the series of events that had just happened.

"We can't stay here any longer. We must leave this place. Otherwise, when other spirit beasts arrive, they will surely dig deep to find that energy," Ye Die Die said.

"Recently, there have been frequent energy fluctuations in the Star Dou Forest. Most spirit beasts return empty-handed each time. Now they will become even more ferocious."

Ye Die Die thought to herself, "Could it be that the frequent energy fluctuations were caused by me..."

The Blue Silver King immediately gave orders for all cultivated Blue Silver Grass to evacuate with the other Blue Silver Grass towards the outskirts.

"The recent disturbance was too significant. There must be someone left behind to cover your retreat. As the Blue Silver King, I must stay," he commanded.

"If, in this crisis, I die, then Ah Yin, you will be the new Blue Silver King," the Blue Silver King said to Ah Yin with utmost seriousness, as if he were arranging his own affairs.

"King! It's all my fault. I should be the one protecting you and assisting the clan's retreat," Ah Yin cried out to the Blue Silver King.

"Don't be foolish. It's not your fault. Don't harbor regret and resentment. We, the Blue Silver Grass, are a peaceful race. This is the calamity we must endure as the Blue Silver Grass clan," the Blue Silver King said calmly.

"You are the most talented individual I have seen among the Blue Silver Grass. You became a Millennium Spirit Beast in just a few hundred years."

"I cultivated for three thousand years and only recently reached the level of a two-thousand-year cultivation spirit beast. For me, protecting your retreat is the most significant role I can play."

The Blue Silver King spoke calmly, then a green gem flew out from his head and he handed it to Ah Yin. It merged into Ah Yin's body, and the Blue Silver King's aura noticeably weakened.

"This gem is possessed by every Blue Silver King. Now it is passed on to you. You must survive and lead the Blue Silver Grass to leave this place safely."

"If there is an opportunity, I hope... you can lead our Blue Silver Grass race back to the inner region of the Star Dou Forest and restore the glory of our Blue Silver Grass race... They are coming."

After the Blue Silver King finished speaking to Ah Yin, he turned to Ye Die Die.

"Butterfly Sister, I hope that after living in our territory for so many years, you can help our race overcome this crisis."

"Although it may be asking too much, I still hope that you can assist the Blue Silver Grass race in reaching the outskirts and take care of our race to some extent."

"I'm afraid. After I'm gone, Ah Yin... I'm about to leave..."

As the Blue Silver King spoke, his words trailed off because he sensed that spirit beasts had already arrived at the outer range of the Blue Silver Grass territory and were approaching this side.

"Very well, I promise. I will help the Blue Silver Grass."

Upon hearing these words, the Blue Silver King paused for a moment and then, filled with hope, he headed towards the invading spirit beasts.

"King! Butterfly Sister, what should I do now? I don't think I can become the Blue Silver King. It's not suitable for me," Ah Yin said.

"Ah, Yin, let's go. Take the Blue Silver Grass and retreat to the outskirts. Don't let the efforts of your Blue Silver King go to waste."

"I..."

Ah Yin looked at the Blue Silver Grass approaching from all sides. These Blue Silver Grass looked at her with hopeful eyes. In the words of the Blue Silver King, they knew that she was their new king.

"Let's go, let's retreat to the outskirts."

Seeing the expectant gazes of the Blue Silver Grass, Ah Yin gathered herself and directed the evacuation of the Blue Silver Grass.

Ye Die Die promised to help the Blue Silver Grass. She extended her consciousness and surveyed her surroundings.

There were two energies clashing in the east, and she sensed that one of them belonged to the Blue Silver King. He had been repeatedly forced back but never retreated.

The other three sides were blocked by the Blue Silver Grass. They formed vines, hindering the advance of the spirit beasts.

By now, Ah Yin had organized her clan and took a deep look at the area. She gazed in the direction of the Blue Silver King, then made a firm decision.

"We will come back."

"Let's go, this way."

Ah Yin chose the path to the south. Ye Die Die carefully sensed it and discovered that the spirit beasts in this direction were the weakest and easiest to break through. She did not stop them.

Arriving in the south, the vines of the Blue Silver Grass opened up a path. These Blue Silver Grass, who had been blocking the spirit beasts from all sides, exerted their final strength.

As Ah Yin led the Blue Silver Grass to leave, the vines swayed as if giving their own kind a blessing.

All the Blue Silver Grass were in tears. They knew what their race was facing and what fate awaited the Blue Silver Grass who had been blocking the spirit beasts.

However, they could not stop. They knew they were the hope of the Blue Silver Grass clan.

"Roar!"

A massive sound echoed through the air, coming from the direction of the east, where the Blue Silver King was located.

The source of this sound, they could sense, was a ten-thousand-year soul beast. They knew what this meant and what their former king would encounter. They momentarily halted their steps.

"Go... Just go..."

Ah Yin even cried as she spoke these words. Upon hearing Ah Yin's plea, they did not oppose. They simply fell silent and continued their journey.

Along the way, when they encountered spirit beasts, they avoided fighting whenever possible, hurriedly making their way towards the outskirts, aiming to leave this place.

Ye Die Die kept a watchful eye on their surroundings, occasionally using her soul skills to conceal the Blue Silver Grass's trail.

After several days, they finally arrived at the outskirts. They searched for a new place to take root and grow.
