Four castles floating in the sky, orbiting around a majestic mountain. There on the peak, is a magnificent palace— seemingly coiling like a serpent around the mountain called, the Heavens Peak. The Heavens Peak is the center of the largest province in the Nine Provinces where spiritual energy converges and is the most closest to heaven, the Central Province. This is where a the family who is seemingly favored by the heavens for the past nine generations, a family who can be said to be on top of the world— the Mo Clan.
Suddenly, the four floating castles seemed to gravitate towards the Heaves Peak, the surrounding Qi also headed towards the peak.
All of a sudden, booming trumpets roared and a heavenly melody fell from the heavens— an auspicious sign!
The eye of the Heavenly Dao appeared in a brief moment before it disappeared.
Then suddenly, a voice so deep that it felt like an echo of an ancient well announced.
"The heir is born!"
Inside the palace that coiled the Heavens Peak, a cry of a baby was heard. It was so loud that the maidservants around covered their ears despite their high cultivations.
The voice came from a bed, it was where a woman so beautiful that the heavens seemed to have shaped her to its best, drops of sweat fell down through her lips, showing a smile that seemed so mesmerizingly beautiful.
The cause of the smile and the cries? A baby in her arms, it was the recently born heir of the Mo Clan— his cries aligned with the sound of nature and his eyes where piercingly silver. The plump baby was like a jade doll crafted by the best artisans.
The woman, or clearly— the mother of the baby was smiling happily. The cries sounded like background noise to her because all her attention was on her newborn son, pondering for a few moments she declared, " You will be called Mo Fan from now on."
Her voice sounded like a peaceful gust of wind, pleasing yet fleeting. Mo Fan stopped crying, he giggled— seemingly pleased with his name.
Thud~ Thud~
Heavy, yet hurried steps trudged outside the room, it sounded like a hulking man was approaching and then—
The door slammed open revealing an aggrieved face of a very celestial-like handsome young man.
"No!"
His voice sounded like he lost something precious, his pitiful face looked downcast as he said, "I wanted to name him Mo Tianjingzi, dear…"
The mother scoffed at his husbands attempt to name her son. That name was so overbearing and so long it would just annoy most people, not like the one she cleverly came up with.
"I named him quickly because I knew you would give our son such a ridiculous name from the get-go. And isn't it perfect, his name is—"
The husband felt reluctant, he still wanted to name Mo Fan to Mo Tianjingzi.
"I get it… but still!"
The loud shouts and arguments made Mo Fan cried again much to the dismay of the couple. They awkwardly tried to cheer him up back again and calm him down. After more than a few minutes of trying, Mo Fan fell into slumber to the relief of the couple. The maidservants had long left since the father entered the room. It left a peaceful scenery of new parents exhaustingly laying down on a bed while surrounding their precious newborn.
"Jingzi, his aptitude…"
"I know Xiu'er, it's so average that I'm baffled but his heart—"
"Yes it's a Dao Heart."
They were worried, but they could fix his aptitude before he cultivated with their abundant resources. Instead, they felt happy that their son had a natural Dao Heart— a heart that would accompany him for all his life.
Going silent for a moment, Wu Xiu looked deeply at Mo Fan.
"You know Tianjingzi doesn't really sound bad," Wu Xiu murmured but it was quickly shot down by Mo Jingzi.
"No you're right, its too overbearing. I think the name Mo Fan fits better, he would become the paragon of this generation!"
The couple looked at each other and reconciled from their previous disagreement, they also went to sleep closing their eyes peacefully after not doing so for countless millennia.
Meanwhile on the outside world, news of the Mo Clan once again siring an heir from an Immortal Emperor for the ninth time again, that also at the generation where the Heaven Will would descend. It caused a raging undercurrent, flowing rapidly through the Nine Provinces, an undercurrent so strong that it would drown the heavens itself… the repercussions of which would remain unknown till—

The festivities of immortals could be said to be long and grand, it was rarely celebrated so when there is all mortals and cultivators alike mingle with each other in such a rare event. Huge crowds formed around a plaza, it was the central square of Mo City, the capital of the territory of the Mo Clan. Stalls were strewn around the surroundings, people of all shapes and sizes were buying, selling, and playing from them. Some people walking around had servants helping them, palanquins littering the street— signifying their futile status to people around them.
One such palanquin was empty, its conspicuous yet not so overbearing design drew some stares but nothing much like that. Some servants were cluelessly looking around the huge crowds of people, seemingly looking for someone.
A figure flew past a the large crowd, his graceful robe rode the wind— fluttering like the wings of a butterfly. His long black hair was swaying ever so slightly by his movements. His silver eyes were sharp making him more strikingly handsome, he was nervously darting his eyes around certain individuals when suddenly—
A breath from his back tickled his neck, it then whispered gently, "I caught you young master Mo Fan."
Mo Fan's body quivered and tried to run away as fast as he could. He darted around the large crowd disappearing so quickly, shocking the maiden.
A few more servants came to her, they were flushed red and were shivering, they were nervous about the consequences of losing their prince. A brave one, made the atmosphere tense, questioning the woman, "Wasn't that the prince? Why did you let him go?"
The woman sighed, she answered quickly stating, "The young master probably felt restless in his palanquin, so he left us to explore alone," the servants knew this and waited for her to continue, "Thankfully I placed my Qi in his bloodstream so we could easily track him, lets hide in the dark and protect him secretly."
The surrounding felt less tense, they nodded to each other and disappearing around the crowd.
In another place, Mo Fan was running with all the strength he could possibly muster. His brows were furrowed and breath unsteady. Not having much stamina left anymore, he stopped and took a deep breath.
Looking around, Mo Fan didn't see his servants around much to his relief. He can now spare a glance to the surroundings and he noticed that despite being still crowded here, it was far much less than the other places.
Mo Fan curiously looked around the area, there were still stalls around shouting with all their might their products and services, while also some restaurants in the surroundings had flashy signs.
One flashy restaurant in particular caught the eye of Mo Fan, it was named Drunken Immortal Tavern. The name would be considered preposterous for daring to put immortal in it, but unknowingly it still stands to this day.
Theres not much special around it other than its name, intrigued Mo Fan entered this seemingly normal restaurant.
And when he did, a burst of fragrance assaulted his sense, it was a mix of scent of hard liquor and garlic. The tantalizing smell made him not aware of the stares that he received upon entering the establishment, but they quickly retracted their gazes going back to their businesses.
Mo Fan then woke up from his daze and his eyes curiously gazed into the surroundings, it was eerily quiet forming a rather peaceful atmosphere, his nerves relaxed as he found his seat.
A beautiful waitress arrived at his table, her eyes were foxlike and her dainty hands held a piece of pen and paper. She looked at the young man and couldn't help but be shocked, isn't he a bit too young to be in this establishment?
A customer is still a customer so she asked, "What is your order?"
The rude remark shocked and angered Mo Fan, but he soon calmed down remembering his mother's reminder.
"I don't know, I'm new here. Recommend me a few drinks that has the highest alcohol content," Mo Fan arrogantly replied.
He is confident that no mortal drink could ever affect his bloodstream.
The waitress made a sneer on her face, "Are you sure about that, an elephant could even be drunk from our best drinks."
Mo Fan scoffed, like that would be real, at most it would make some experienced drunkard to have a comatose for a week. Such a remote and mortal establishment further away from the Heavens Peak, it would be a miracle to put him down into a daze.
The waitress noticed this and couldn't help but grin, "Alright, our Drunken Immortal tavern has been established since the founding of Mo City. Our founder's most famous drink, The Immortal Dew— is the pinnacle of all mortal beverages. So, suit yourself if you want to have a taste."
The silvery eyes of Mo Fan glimmered, he eagerly nodded as he said, "Alright, I would take that. And about some snacks or food, do you have roasted duck?"
Whatever this Immortal Dew is, it better make his journey worth it.
The waitress nodded, her dainty hands quickly wrote down his order.
But before she left, she quickly reminded while handing a piece of parchment, "Since you are eager for the drink, I need you to sign this waiver or you wouldn't even get a taste of it."
Hans saw the parchment was placed in his desk, he red through it quickly and couldn't help but grimace.
The contents simply told him that the establishment will be in no way liable of what would happen after he drank the contents.
He checked the surroundings if there were cultivators, but he saw no signs of them. Seeing that there is no unruly arrogant ants, he concluded that there wasn't such. All of the people around looked like behaved mortals despite it being a tavern.
Mo Fan begrudgingly signed the waiver, leaving the waitress with a happy smile on her face.
The young man didn't know what he signed up for, and he would certainly regret it.
He glanced around only to see some chatting quietly like they were whispering, so he got bored looking around.
Time flew fast, and he was getting a bit nervous. Mo Fan knew that if he was caught by his mother doing some scandalous behavior… his butt is already aching for the future spanking that he would receive.
When he was about to ditch, two men and three women of the same age as him appeared in the tavern. They appeared like fallen immortals and peerless fairies of their own right, attracting the gazes of other customers.
Their robes were luxurious and their expressions haughty, they were curiously looking around only for their gaze to settle on Mo Fan.
Now this people at least have fathers as cultivators. Mo Fan thought while he glanced away, not wanting to be noticed.
A kind looking handsome teenage man approached him— his eyes were starry and his jaw chiseled, he made a big smile on his face as he said, "Immortal Prince Mo Fan…"
"You know me?" Mo Fan coldly inquired, his face was relatively unknown to the public. He only attended some events and his debut to the world was supposed to be in this festival. If they knew him, they must at least have a bit of background.
The Immortal Prince Mo Fan, it was the most trendy name throughout the Nine Provinces. It was only a term coined for the heirs of the Mo Clan after their consecutive nine generations of becoming Immortal Emperors. A feat that has never been done, nor would be ever be repeated.
The others were shocked, if what the starry teenage boy said was true then he is the most likely next Immortal Emperor. The other four sucked a cold breath realizing this, while the boy approached him as he excitedly introduced himself, "Prince Mo Fan let me introduce myself, my name is Xing Ye and I am an inheritor disciple of the Genesis Way Sect."
Mo Fan nodded, he gestured for all five of them to sit down on the table. He called the waiter once again to order five more Immortal Dews, and also have them order their food.
When they saw the waiver they clearly felt uncomfortable, but their prides made them sign it either way.
While they were doing that, Mo Fan was curiously looking at Xing Ye, the so-called Inheritor disciple.
Mo Fan heard from his mother that the Genesis Way Sect was the ancestor of human cultivators, it was the most ancient sect in existence, so becoming an inheritor disciple despite still not starting cultivating. People only started cultivating at the ages of 15-18, it was the most optimal time to cultivate and leave no hidden dangers, so all six of them were still mortals. Xing Ye's talent is a testament to his status, he would certainly be a generational genius and with the resources plus the resources of the most ancient sect— it would be giving wings to a tiger, a tiger cub— nonetheless a tiger.
Xing Ye then started to introduce his other companions, he introduced a haughty looking fairy, just by looking at her you can already expect her to be very arrogant, "Prince Mo, this beautiful fairy is the youngest daughter of two ancestors of the Long Clan, Fairy Long Hua."
The girl nodded perfunctorily making Xing Ye scratch his head in embarrassment, he quickly moved on to another guy but when he was about to speak—
"The names Huo Fengchang, my mother is the Phoenix Fairy," his hair was wild and red, and his skin was bronze. He stood a towering height as he briefly introduced himself.
They were both heirs of the Primeval Clan Coalition, mother briefly explained that they were just a remnant of the past that had no choice of allying towards one another to not be ravaged by time. Mo Fan was no longer interested towards them, and gestured for Xing Ye to continue.
Xing Ye just smiled and nodded to him, he then tried to introduce another but again—
"Immortal Prince can refer to me as Bai Daiyu. I am a candidate for the Holy Maiden position of the Absolute Holy Land… Besides me is my twin brother the last personal disciple of the sect master, Bai Daoyi."
The two of them looked alike despite their opposing genders, their androgynous features made Mo Fan curious about them. The Absolute Holy Land… they are a true powerhouses compared to the two, and were heroes of the past.
Then lastly was a woman, she was certainly the prettiest of the bunch making Mo Fan slightly interested but her answer baffled him. It didn't even anger him since he didn't notice even a silver of malicious intent laced around it.
"Luo Jing."
Xing Ye was getting a bit pissed that they kept cutting them off but he still quickly explained, "Prince I apologize but Fairy Jing is a bit shy…"
It caused the sharp eyes of Luo Jing to flicker with killing intent, it made Xing Ye sweat bullets nervous but luckily—
"Here's your order."
The waitress instantly arrived with their food.
