Why was he strangely worried for Georgia?
This was the question that came to Theodore's mind when he raced out of the room after getting his car keys. His beta seemed to be worried as well because lately, things in the pack hadn't been the same for a while.
In the past, they thought the reason for the sickness spreading was because of a rogue but Theodore eventually found out that no rogue was after his pack.
Therefore, the moment he heard that his annoying mate was missing, he immediately thought she was taken by their unknown enemy.
These two walked through the hall, searching for hints about her disappearance. Daniel decided to ask some of the male guests since she had caught their attention earlier while Theodore tried to sense her.
Her smell was marvelously tempting. He couldn't resist her when he smelled that pleasing scent of hers but no matter the struggle, he was able to fight the strong string holding him to her.
Life had not been so hard even though he had to train his pack and prepare them for unexpected wars and threatening events. He hadn't been feeling restless, weak and needy until he met his mate on the 4th of June when she resumed work with his company.
He knew about her as the beta spoke about her and her son joining the pack but he wasn't interested in knowing more about her as he didn't actually acknowledge every member of his pack.
As an Alpha and the CEO of Willows Groups, a company with the highest rank in the country, he had so many responsibilities, hence he had to be strong.
Theodore heard about Lunas making her Alphas stronger but he failed to understand that concept. All they did was to make the powerful Alpha emotionally, and mentally weak which also affected his physical abilities.
Now Georgia had proved to him how right he was about Luna being useless. He saw his parents and knew it was all for nothing. He didn't need Georgia and as he had said to himself, he'd rather choose a strong wolf as his Luna.
However, at this moment, he just didn't understand why he felt unsettled, worried and unwell. It felt as if his world was unstable when he couldn't smell her around. His thoughts went wild and he became more restless.
Theodore didn't know when he searched the whole hall. People were congratulating the host of the party and finding their way home. This made him crazier as it meant that midnight was near.
Could it be what he is thinking? Could his mate be in trouble? Although he hated calling her his mate at the moment, he was going crazy.
"I told you, I told you, Theodore, that you shouldn't have let her go. If only you hadn't made her feel bad with your words, she wouldn't be missing!" Tyler, feeling a bit strange, voiced out inside the Alpha's head.
"Don't blame this on me Tyler! She literally wiped her lips, saying she didn't plan for that. Weren't you hurt by what she did?" Already running to his car to find her, Theodore said.
"What do you feel, Tyler? Is she in danger?" Theodore asked when he didn't receive any reaction from his wolf.
"I feel nothing, that's why I'm still calm but I can't help but worry, what if…"
"No, that won't happen," Theodore, knowing his wolf's thought, immediately rebuked that possibility.
Just then his beta mind-linked him. "Alpha, get your car ready!"
"I'm close to my car, Daniel! What did you find?!"
"She followed the Alpha of earlier," Daniel replied.
"Theodore! What if he marks her?!" Tyler's fear caused that awkward restlessness again.
"What the fuck is going on with Georgia?!" Theodore ranted at his beta.
"I wasn't able to get his address but all I know is that he passed the road by the west," Daniel, still mind-linking his Alpha, explained
"What do you think, Daniel?" Theodore asked.
"I'm wondering why you are so scared, Alpha. Is she perhaps your mate?" Daniel asked.
"Mind your business!"
"This is my business Alpha!" Arriving just in time, Daniel showed up in front of his Alpha's car just when he was about to drive.
Theodore looked at Daniel who now walked over to his window. "Alpha, is she your mate?"
"And why would you care?"
"You should…."
"I don't care," Theodore uttered, already knowing where Daniel was going. "I'll drive through the west while you go the other way," he simply said and accelerated out of the premises.
"What if he marks her?" Tyler kept on mentioning that in his head and it only made Theodore more depressed.
"How could you, Georgia? How could you go just like that?" Theodore spoke to himself as he drove past some slow-pacing car which irritated him.
While driving, he recalled her face, especially her gorgeous face after he kissed her. His eyes landed on her wet lips as he pulled out.
But then it struck him, causing him to question himself about when he became so easy to read and weak. Yes, he was on his way to find her but that didn't mean that he wanted her.
He just needed to save her. He just needed to know that she was safe. He just needed to know that she hadn't been marked by another Alpha.
The more he thought about her lying in bed with another man who wasn't just an ordinary man but an Alpha, made him sick. A being as powerful as he was mating with his mate and marking her was bothering him.
Theodore groaned and his heart began to beat faster. Oh, no! Why was he having mixed feelings? He didn't even know what to feel at the moment. He was just so impatient. The image of his mate being held by another man kept killing him.
"Georgia!" He growled again, losing his sanity and misbehaving as he did earlier before finally kissing her. However, when he thought about kissing her, he felt calm.
Hence, he kept reminiscing about the kiss they shared on the terrace that was by the pool. He recalled the feelings that surged through his body and as he thought about that moment, he perceived something sweet and delightful.
Yes, that smell, that fruity smell and oh, he was hungry for her. So damn hungry that he just couldn't wait.
